Audax Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I thought the Saints scored with too much time left, their player who scored stumbled into the endzone, you always have to go for the score but imagine if he had fallen down at the 1 yard line. The Saints would have had 4 downs at the 1 yard line with 1:30 left in the game. That said, the Saints to an extent hurt themselves immensely with the turnovers, there also was one crucial play where I think it was clear a Saints player was horsecollared, it would have meant a first down to them but the penalty was not called.

CaliRoverNYC Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Alex Smith is a below average QB being helped out with some excellent Coaching on behalf of Harbaugh. Ive also never really thought too much of Flacco. It looks like i'll be pulling for Giants. Even though I have nothing against SF (in fact i'm named after Joe Montana) I wouldn't be able to stand them sharing the 6 Super Bowls crown with us. Also for me the Pats - Ravens game is like rooting for a team in a Chelsea - Burnley match, I have to root for NE cause I couldn't stomach the Burnleymore Ravens winning the super bowl. Hoping its NE - NY praying its not the Harbaugh Bowl.
Redrose49er Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Alex Smith is a below average QB being helped out with some excellent Coaching on behalf of Harbaugh. Fair enough, but he has led his team to victories over 'above average' QBs such as Vick, Stafford, Manning, Roethlisberger and now Brees this season. His career has been a broad disappointment to date but no-one could claim his performance in the last 3 mins on Saturday was 'below average'.
T4E Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 tebow named starter for 2012 by God. Starter going in to training camp. Far from saying he's the starter going in to next season. Training camp and pre-season is going to be very interesting, Quinn will start second on the depth chart and I'm fully expecting us to take a QB in round 5 or 7.
ABBEY Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 dolphins to interview broncos mccoy cant see this one myself.

T4E Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I guess that's possible. I believe we have two picks in R5, none in R6 and one in R7.
Rovermatt Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 darron thomas? It's highly doubtful that Darron Thomas will make it as an NFL QB. He plays in a very smooth, yet pretty limited offence at Oregon and has the stature of a skinny teenager. I know Denver have had success with the option this season but Tebow is a genuine running threat. Thomas, while quick, would be absolutely battered in the NFL.
T4E Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 From the limited amount I know, I would tend to agree (although I don't think the skinny teenager bit is true). He's only just declared, slightly surprisingly, hence why he's getting attention. Don't suppose it will last.

ABBEY Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 3 year deal .. Rams at wembley. Talkshite said broncos but all twitter and nfluk say pats
Jeru tha Damaja Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Well at least Rams/Pats at Wembley would give us plenty of TDs. Brady showboating and Bradford wishing he'd been drafted to anyone but St Louis.
CaliRoverNYC Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Fair enough, but he has led his team to victories over 'above average' QBs such as Vick, Stafford, Manning, Roethlisberger and now Brees this season. His career has been a broad disappointment to date but no-one could claim his performance in the last 3 mins on Saturday was 'below average'. Roethlisberger was very much below average that game, but thats beside the point, in most of those games its been the defense of the 49ers that has won the game, this past game against the saints being the exception. Alex Smith is similar to Sanchez in that he is not a franchise QB but he might trick a few people into believing he is with some impressive playoff victories. that said QB's that don't fit the franchise mold have won the super bowl (normally with the aid of a tremendous defense) before they just don't have long successful careers.
CaliRoverNYC Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Very disappointed that the Rams are being allowed to take wembley 3 straight years. unfair to their season ticket holders and kind of a stupid idea to try and implant them as England's team.
ABBEY Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 That won't happen as I reckon 99% of us have our teams.
ABBEY Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 http://z13.invisionfree.com/overseasorangearmy/index.php?act=idx if anyone off here wants to join then ive set a nfl section up for general discussion and each other team as and when. everyone welcome.
Audax Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 For the AFC, one of my favourite teams are the Baltimore Ravens, I don't see them winning. Niners/Giants I see as a toss up but if the Giants win, one has to start thinking Tom Coughlin, Giants coach must be one of the all-time greats. I see the Niners winning this though neither of these are teams I'm really for. Pats vs. Niners I say for the SB, Pats winning this, seeming unstoppable.
ABBEY Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Ravens and giants .. Got a feeling... Just saying
