JAL Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Just hope to god that the players and staff DO NOT go out to India.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 And Abramovic etc all regard the football club as their first priority? Bit of naive thinking. But feel free to bash our owners for it anyway. How can you compare Abramovic to this lot at Rovers!...does he unashamedly use Chelsea to whore his own business interets while putting in the sum of sweet FA? indeed.
pancini Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 will have to be very careful if this game goes ahead looking at the pitch could you imagine if a player got a serious injury http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/1943/speakout/2011/07/18/2579294/still-excessively-tall-grass-on-the-pitch-will-the-ground-be

More to the point, will Rovers even be insurable for this trip/game?

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 You have to laught, just about sums up everything thats going wrong at the moment. Rank amateurs.
rebelmswar Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Can someone please post direct pictures as all I can see is still frames from the terrain featured in "Platoon."

OJRovers Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 TRIP POSTPONED....TIL OCTOBER Can't see any sense in us flying out mid-season, I think it will keep getting put back.
67splitscreen Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 TRIP POSTPONED....TIL OCTOBER Can't see any sense in us flying out mid-season, I think it will keep getting put back. Kean may have got his dates mixed up, six games in October, there are two two week breaks at the beginning of Sep/Nov.
tony gale's mic Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 A mid season trip to India! I couldn't think of a better idea! Also it means these morons intend to stick around for a while yet.
philipl Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Thankfully sense has prevailed now. Critical we concentrate on getting the squad up to full fitness for the relegation 6 pointer on day 1 of the season.
Kelbo Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Kean may have got his dates mixed up, six games in October, there are two two week breaks at the beginning of Sep/Nov. Kean gets lots mixed up, not a good day for Rovers, what started so well where we all thought we would get rid of him, he's still here!!! As the trip is now called off, that puts us one game down to get up to speed!
Finch Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 My first thought when I heard it had been called off was that it looks like they don't know what they're doing. To make plans one minute only to change them soon after? What does that say about them?
slough_rover Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Thankfully sense has prevailed now. Critical we concentrate on getting the squad up to full fitness for the relegation 6 pointer on day 1 of the season. I know you love bringing doom to this place but seriously a relegation game first day of the season. Please go F... Yourself.
Ste B Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Kean may have got his dates mixed up, six games in October, there are two two week breaks at the beginning of Sep/Nov. No game on 8th October, due to International commitments. Kean is correct.
arbitro Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Presumably some fans have shelled out money to go and watch Rovers play in the postponed game - what will they do now?
Ste B Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Presumably some fans have shelled out money to go and watch Rovers play in the postponed game - what will they do now? Anybody who books for a game thats not officially announced wants their head examining. (Like booking Hong Kong in November for example)... I believe a number were looking at this and ways to get to HK, but had already abandoned all plans to get their Visas sorted a while back.

Well I know of a group of 40 who booked for HK before the end of the season clearly not knowing if we would be able to enter as potentially a FL club.

Ewood Blues lot. Didnt think there were that many of them. 40 including the 8 who are on our flight on Saturday maybe.

bob fleming Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Presumably some fans have shelled out money to go and watch Rovers play in the postponed game - what will they do now? Out of interest was it ever announced who we were playing and at which football stadium the game was to be played? Before we go blaming "Senior Pros" for the postponement perhaps someone can tell us which team we have let down at the 11th hour. Anyone?
