RevidgeBlue Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Jenson was hoping for a new contract a few weeks ago, no development yet!, every possibility that Kean will become a No.2 from whispers I've heard, most managers have their own assistants they like to move from club to club with. Who would be Rafa's, reluctantly maybe, but I could see the Raos keeping the love child on. You mean you read the contribution from unsall from 1057 pm last night and are trying to pass it off as your own information. "From what I've heard" etc etc...... Why do posters do that?

Brfcrule1 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Torgeir I know it is probably someone we probably could not afford to get hold of but one can dream & the Venkys have been banging on about marquee/Landmark signings think he qualifies as that.
Pete1981 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 GuillemBalague Guillem Balague by PaulPlunkettLT Rafa Benítez has been offered West Brom, two national sides and a Italian club (not Inter though! ;-) ... Still waiting for the right offer

Stuart Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Rafa is just a pipe dream. Trouble is it just brings more ill feeling to the owners when these types of things don't come off. Kean will be in charge at the beginning of next season, I'm convinced.
Jimmy612 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Kean will be in charge at the beginning of next season, I'm convinced. Correct, Anderson has us right where he wants us!
Stuart Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 More like a nightmare. Forget pipe dream, compared to Kean, Rafa is a bloody wet dream!!
Ralfinho Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Rather than Benitez, how about us employing this guy..... New Manager?
Bennisfromheaven Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I would love that!!! But in my opinion Hughes wouldnt work for Venkys especially without John Williams!! It would be great though, come back & finish the job you started!! I know the football was not always the best to watch but I felt Hughes style (in all areas of management) was perfect for Rovers!!
PAFELL Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Rather than Benitez, how about us employing this guy..... New Manager? Sadly it would not happen.

I agree with your overall sentiment, but playing devil's advocate, he was prepared to work with Man City's owners and Mr. Cook... The name of the game for ambitious managers if having money to spend in the transfer market. This is why I view our choice of manager in line with the owners ambitions and funds.
BangkokRover Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is in line to replace Steve Kean as manager of Blackburn if the club survive the drop. (News of the World) From the Gossip Column of the BBC Football

dave birch Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Would not be happy with TFSW. If we are looking at a "name"-: Guus Hiddink will do me.
Gav Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I would bloody love that. On two counts, 1) It would mean we have a decent budget for transfers 2) Benitez is a top class manager and his record is fantastic, bringing him to Ewood would put us back on the map for the right reasons, and may persuade Samba to stay.
Mc Love Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I hope so but I really dont think Venkys will ever sack Kean
BPF Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is in line to replace Steve Kean as manager of Blackburn if the club survive the drop. (News of the World) From the Gossip Column of the BBC Football Sadly, it now sounds like the third Rao Brother Kean is here for the foreseeable future.
BangkokRover Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Sadly, it now sounds like the third Rao Brother Kean is here for the foreseeable future. Hope your wrong mate, I know no one at Rovers and the only people I know in Blackburn are here on the board. But I certainly fear for future of Rovers if we have 20, 15, 10 or 5 million to spend we need a plan. At the moment I just don't think we have a plan. Cheers BKR
Nelsta Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 On talkshyte, they were saying that if/when Ancelotti is sacked by chelsea he is desperate to stay in england. And would consider going to west ham. Surley worth a phone call from venkys.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I was listening to a podcast the other day that suggested that Villa and Benitez are keen on each other in the light of Gerard Houlier's health problems. If true that would rule us out I'd reckon.
tony gale's mic Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Would not be happy with TFSW. If we are looking at a "name"-: Guus Hiddink will do me. Yeah. And we should sign Messi while we're at it.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Former Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is in line to replace Steve Kean as manager of Blackburn if the club survive the drop. (News of the World) From the Gossip Column of the BBC Football We could have done without this sort of speculation today. At the moment it's just a distraction. My gut feeling is we'll kick off with Kean in charge next season no matter what happens today. Kean's obviously No 1 son as far as Venkie's are concerned.
