SAS Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Sat in darwen end yesterday. Missiles raining down from the brum fans all game. 2nd half sat near singers. Heavy police presence taking pictures of our fans pointing up and down at us. Last 5 minutes a heavy barrage of missiles raining down, spit, coins, bottles of ###### and even glass. One elderly lady had her head cut open. Police stillstood in corner with rovers fans doing nothing. Point is, the missiles had been coming down in the first half, yet the police did f.all and continued to be intimidating the rovers fans. People got hurt yesterday.

dazmaz Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Noticed the Rovers fans pointing from the BBE, tbh I just thought it was banter between the fans
roverwhelmed Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I also sat in the Darwen End and was surprised by the venom from some of those Birmingham fans. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, and there should be consequences from such actions.
thenonda Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I was sat in the DE Lower yesterday and was hit with a plastic coke bottle half full. Took it down to the police to ask what they were going to do about the throwing and they said 'not our problem speak to the club'. The police are a disgrace! By far the worst fans to come here in a while. The FA should ban them from europe. Not the first time this season they have been involved in this sort of behaviour.
modes98 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Can someone involved send a letter into the club and copy it to the FA. If you don't take action then these things will be allowed to continue. Any picture or video evidence should be included. One of a couple of sets of fans I hate to take the train journey back with, majority are scum.
Ben-2000 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 They're just cowards... something hit the old lady fairly central in the stand... then towards the end a glass was thrown which smashed on the steps (thank god that didn't hit anybody)... bottles and coins were also thrown. What people couldn't understand was the police were filming Rovers fans whilst all this was happening and didn't think to move the camera on to them to catch the brain dead moron's.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 10, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted April 10, 2011 An absolute joke, people telling the stewards in the upper tier and they did nothing..... ######
sambo Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 The police proved once again they are complete and utter tossers. Filming Rovers fans as all sorts of cr@p flies down at us. Absolute joke the whole thing, with stewards standing there confused, doing nothing. The whole thing was a farce. Police in the DE = Morons
Mattyblue Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 As long as the police are getting their overtime, they aren't fussed.
blue_and_white Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I'd have hesitated to do this under the Trust when money was as tight as it gets and any loss of revenue to the club was likely to be reflected on the pitch, but with Venkys in charge if I ever get hit by anything I might just sue the club. Any time you go to an away ground you're treated far more harshly and strictly than the home fans, Rovers is the only place I know of where its the other way around. The stewards/police have a duty to ensure fans safety in the ground, they're not doing that, I'm sure fans would have grounds for a legal case.
Hughesy Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 It was birmingham, so its of no suprise to me....they are up their with the biggest scum fans iv come accross.
roversmum Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 When Mr Roversmum told me (from the Fans Forum) that Birmingham fans had the whole of the top tier, I told him that's what would happen. If I know it surely the stewards do. Get letters of protest in, folks, to John Newsham, Stadium Manager, copy to Tom Finn, and as Modes said, the FA. For good measure I'd send a copy to the press as well. If the police can't do anything, why are they there? It's not good enough. Interestingly, a few years ago I complained when Sam Allardyce (as Manager of Bolton I think it was) threw his used chewing gum on the ground in temper. Steward said it was a police matter.
Exiled_Rover Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I also sat in the Darwen End and was surprised by the venom from some of those Birmingham fans. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, and there should be consequences from such actions. A ten point penalty would make them learn their lesson.
Mattyblue Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 BCFC fans have always attracted the knob head element of Birmingham. Villa/Birmingham City have always reminded me of Rovers/Dingles.
Ozz Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I was particularly annoyed at their chant of "were Birmingham City , we'll do what we want".
sambo Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I was particularly annoyed at their chant of "were Birmingham City , we'll do what we want". Stolen off Man United too... Their fans were all know nowts. Rovers won F' all? You sure?
roverwhelmed Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Stolen off Man United too... Their fans were all know nowts. Rovers won F' all? You sure? I loved that. So thick. Just laughed at them. 'We'll do what we want' was pretty apt, wasn't it. It reminded me of Manchester City being promoted at Ewood. Mob rule.
sambo Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I loved that. So thick. Just laughed at them. 'We'll do what we want' was pretty apt, wasn't it. It reminded me of Manchester City being promoted at Ewood. Mob rule. Yeah definitely. It sounds like something a petulant school child would sing. Truth is Big Club, nobody cares about you! And I agree with Matty Blue, Villa/Brum reminds me of Rovers/Burnley.
ABBEY Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 back in the day they would NEVER allow away fans to sit above home fans.
roverwhelmed Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 A ten point penalty would make them learn their lesson. I don't know whether this would work or not, but could there not be a behaviour related ticket allocation? If supporters behave badly, then their supporters can't go to that ground again the following season? Or tickets are massively limited.
SAS Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 They should get fined. How many times are their fans in bother. Wasn't it just a few weeks ago they got fined for crowd control.
Hughesy Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Yeh they stole the 'do what we want' chant off United... As for 'Blackburns a sh!t hole' that more or less every club uses, they must have been retarded if they think Birmingham is some sort of dream place!
JMillZz Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I saw people getting spat on by the Birmingham fans. Coins thrown around me, bottles, the lot. Disgraceful.
