No comment on manager - or players etc etc.

I will just remind everyone - that we were playing one of the form teams of the EPL away from home. Irrespective of manager - our away record has been c**p for years now.

Having said all that - I had (for some reason) hoped we would get a point - and am getting more and more depressed. Here is hoping for a wonder show from Hoilett and Rochina against City - boy do we need it,

I can't believe some fans called the Venkey's P**is, ignorant or what. For a start they are Indian and Hindu's. But I always thought that their skin colour would be a problem for a minority.

Not having that chocky, one it was from zaccius, so I will wait for it to be confirmed elsewhere and two it would be a a few dozen at most.

Their skin colour has never been an issue with the vast majority of Blues, just their incompetence.

The decision to hire Kean was Venkys, once the decision was made as a fan I backed it and gave him a chance- why be negative at that point? Secondly we were in dire need of investment Venkys were a risk any investment is again once it happened I gave it a chance. Hindsight? I call it stating the bleeding obvious, I don't see the point of stating the latter.

They've fudged it up from day 1. Trouble's been brewing for months, yet you've still been pro-Venky's.

It's not about balance, it's about recognising we're in deep trouble. You don't need extraordinary foresight to see that. Hiring Kean was obviously a bad move, I don't understand why you're so unquestioning of them.

You're certainly entitled to your views, but they don't stack up.

I certainly hope it's not true MattyBlue. But i still cringe at that Owen Coyle chant.

I was sat in front of where those that were singing were, I heard the steve kean's a ****** one, and another one about kean taking us down, but the only thing about venkys was 'we want venkys out'. I didn't heard anything else.

I am Pro Blackburn Rovers, the fact that the owners of my club are Venky's has meant that they had my support.

I said sacking Sam was a bad decision- still do.

Hiring Kean was an odd decision and I wanted an experienced manager- still do.

I have wanted Kean out since Fulham- still do.

This is not directed at you Bryan but would it make a difference if I repeated this three times a day?

Probably not a popular viewpoint but imo primary responsibility for the position we are currently in lies with the previous owners for their neglect and lack of investment in the Club over a number of years. Does anyone seriously wonder why we are struggling with the midfield and forward line we are forced to put out?

That said, the new owners aren't blameless either, the situation has probably been brought forward slightly by some poor decision making from the new owners. With Sam still in charge and a little more continuity at the top we might have performed a little better in the second half of this season but with no investment we'd undoubtedly have been in a similar situation in twelve months time.

As for Venky's, Gordon's comments are well wide of the mark imo. It might not be your fault if the Venky's drive your car into a wall the day after you sell it to them but the Walkers have the wherewithall to make the necessary checks to see what sort of drivers they are!.

As for the last five games, it probably still isn't too late for a change of manager if that's what the owners decide to do. I don't know if I'd definitely do that and I doubt the owners will go down that route and it's even less unlikely that anyone else will offer Venky's a profit on their investment before the end of the season. So the only real option is to back the club, and get behind the manager and the owners for the next crucial five games. Recriminations can come in the summer if necessary.

Unless of course you want the Club to fail and be relegated so you can say "I was right all along."

No, it's fine and thanks for stating your point of view.

I don't see a conflict between supporting the club and being against Venky's running the club in the way that they have. I think you have been reluctant to criticise them because you want them to do right. Perhaps that is easily misinterpreted.

I would go along with this because ultimately if they succeed then that means that we will succeed and I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, however it makes no logical sense at this time to keep Kean, I cannot think of ONE reason at the moment.

I haven't looked and don't know the answer but does anyone know our comparative records under Kean before and after Jensen joined the Club? I have it in the back of my mind it's been a bit of a train wreck since he assumed coaching duties.

Mrs Desai need only look in the mirror if she wants to know who is responsible for the shambles that was once Blackburn Rovers. She, in her wisdom, decided to sack Sam Allardyce. She decided to appoint Steve Kean. She decided to put John Williams into a position where leaving was the only option. Mrs. Desai has proved herself to be a total failure as a footballing businesswoman. Venkys have proved to be a failure when it comes to running a football club.

I hope they are pleased with the marketing venture so far as it would appear to add up to nothing more than Venkys equals failure - not sure how Paul Agnew and the Rovers media department are going to spin that one. Perhaps that's why he is being summoned to India, to come up with a plan that spins relegation as a positive.

Today was an utter disgrace. A ragbag of a team that lacked passion, heart and above all leadership. Kean is a poor excuse for a manager. Standing on the touchline with arms folded as the team disintegrates in front of him. This was your game plan Steve. You wanted the top job, you thought you could do a better job than Sam. What was it you said about finishing fifth? I think most people would gladly accept fifth from bottom and if, by some miracle, we achieve that then please Steve have the good grace to get out of our club.

just in from the game.. game of 2 halves. played well the 1st. rochina was outstanding.

in the 2nd the teams heads went down at 1nil and after the penalty, that was that.

lost to a raggy deflected goal and a penalty. nothing to do with the manager.

Deluded.

How many shots did we have on target? How many off-target?

Did Steve Kean get his tactics right?

An eloquent post. Looking ahead I would make a couple of points. Venkys had a vision and they came up with the money which everyone was happy with including John Williams. The cardinal mistake they made and continue to make is having dire advisers. Venkys recognize that they don't know anything about Football and they have trusted their advisors to give them sound advice to grow the club. Those advisers have been derelict in their duty, incompetent in their advice, and engineered appointments that have been self serving and ill thought out.

As good business people Venkys should act now and fire the people that have got them and us in this mess and get advice from people who understand the needs of the club and the owners. Get lost Kentaro.

Very fair comments but I would add the rider that they assume the previous owners left us in good shape.

When you desperately need not one but two quality stikers and end up with a young untested loanee and Benjani until the end of the season, the writing is on the wall. That's before you even get onto the likes of Andrews and a committed but past it Dunn and completely disinterested and past it Emerton and Pedersen in midfield.

And before anyone says we had a good first half of the season under Sam, that's also fair comment but Chelsea were five points clear at the top earlier in the season so if your team isn't good enough it will catch up with you eventually.

I didn't mind Sam leaving. The timing was ridiculous but it happened. I think we all hoped that there was someone lined up without us having to resort to a backroom coach.

People were threatening to boycott matches due to Allardyce's football. Where are those people now by the way???

Kean is learning on the job at the end of an extremely tight premier league season. This is not the time for someone like him to be leading the team regardless of how he wants to play. The problem is that it would be arguably even more disruptive to get someone new in now.

As far as today:

Everton at home would have been a tricky fixture regardless of where we were in the table. Our season and our premier league status will be decided against Bolton, West Ham and Wolves. Everton have better players and are in decent form. On paper they should have won and they did so lets not lose the plot.

Our fate is in our own hands. The next 4/5 weeks will be terrifying but we have enough winnable games to stay up.

Hoilett returning and the promise of Rochina will hopefully give us more next week.

Spot on.

Okay, the signs don't look good but six points from Wolves, West Ham and Bolton will see us right.

Two of those teams are down the bottom for a reason.

We havent won for three months, where are we suddenly going to get two wins from?

EVERY team down there has better form than us.

This is THE biggest issue, 2 wins out of 5 is cutting it fine.
