The Kean song disgusts me to be honest, you may as well be booing the team, hold your heads in shame.

Some fans were singing that song, others (including me) were singing support the team, then it kicked off. Some Rovers fan was giving everyone the fingers for singing Steve Kean's Blue & White Army (this was before the game) he just kept shouting f#&k off and waving his fingers about.

I'm all over the Nelsen/Parkes for manager idea btw.

I can't believe some fans called the Venkey's P**is, ignorant or what. For a start they are Indian and Hindu's. But I always thought that their skin colour would be a problem for a minority.

Skin colour is not a problem, their brains are the problem!!

A shocking day, spoilt more by one or two mindless foul mouthed individuals who at point were shouting that they hoped our manager dies, how do I explain that to my young lad who was with me?

I'd try saying they are mentally ill and will be going back to the hospital after the game.

There are some disgusting people about - especially at away matches.

...under Kean.

If we had the impetus of a new manager, I could see us winning our home games.

Man City - gunning for CL place

Bolton - already in the FA Cup final

Man Utd - gunning for the title

I could see us winning one game under those circumstances (with a new manager).

The fact that Venky's are sticking with Kean is admirable but I'm not sure they fully understand the consequences. I wonder if Kean has sold the worst-case scenario as a title challenge - next season?

Very fair comments but I would add the rider that they assume the previous owners left us in good shape.

When you desperately need not one but two quality stikers and end up with a young untested loanee and Benjani until the end of the season, the writing is on the wall. That's before you even get onto the likes of Andrews and a committed but past it Dunn and completely disinterested and past it Emerton and Pedersen in midfield.

And before anyone says we had a good first half of the season under Sam, that's also fair comment but Chelsea were five points clear at the top earlier in the season so if your team isn't good enough it will catch up with you eventually.

Fair comment Rev, but Venkys and Kean had a January window to put things right. Instead of chasing ageing Brazilians, who were never going to come to Lancashire in mid-winter, or youngsters who are going to take three, four or more months to get fit, we should have been bringing in players who were up to speed. Of course, those type of players cost money. Could it be that Venkys don't have the ready cash available or that their advisors have a different agenda? Either way the club had an appalling transfer window in terms of what we needed for this season. It was a poor one in the Summer when we refused to spend because of all the takeover talk and it was an equally poor one in January because the owners/manager/advisors completely misjudged what was needed.

Where I totally agree is that this team needs completely rebuilding. If we survive, it should be built around Robinson, Samba, Jones, Olsson, Hoilett and Rochina. But it's going to cost Venkys a small fortune to build a team that is comfortable in mid-table in the Premier League and again I have to ask if they have that kind of ready cash available.

Probably not a popular viewpoint but imo primary responsibility for the position we are currently in lies with the previous owners for their neglect and lack of investment in the Club over a number of years. Does anyone seriously wonder why we are struggling with the midfield and forward line we are forced to put out?

Good post. We are in a position were Emerton(who has been quite frankly horrendous this season) and Dunn walk into the midfield. Not to mention a has been trio of strikers who dont look like they could score in a month of sundays. You have to look at previous investment and lack there of. Kean should not be blameless however, Diouf and Kalinic should both be getting games in my view. As much as Venky's are responsible for the managerial debocal, I think we were all happy with January signings. I pray we survive, and continue with a massive overhaul in the summer. Unfortuantly there are a few faces in the squad which have been here far too long and some of them have recently had a contract renewed. I believe we have some really good players we can build around we just have to scrape through this struggle and stay in the league.

The hiring of Kean is one of the strangest decisions in the clubs history, jesus Maradona would have been at least eventful. He's needing fired and the man I would replace him with is Martin O'Neil. With speed on the wings I feel as though he could atapt a similar counter attacking style to the one he used at Villa.

What a wet arse you are Gavin, do you carry a white hanky in your pocket.

5 games left and Kean has to go to give a decent man and his team... the smallest of chances for Rovers to survive.

Bit suprised at the reaction to today, of course an in-form Everton were gonna beat us at Goodison. Anyone who thought there was a good chance of us getting something was being pretty delusional. The time for the fans to kick off about Kean was after Blackpool/Birmingham, its too late now unfortunately.

Tell you what, stay in the golden cup JAL, because singing that cr@p is a kin to booing the team, so well done for contributing to Rovers survival.

Take a look at their teamsheet, then think of their first choice players missing.

It was an excellent chance to get something.

The game was over. We were pathetic. Kean made pathetic subs. The man is a joke.

He deserves it all.

Like the reply to Thenodrog yesterday, staying still and silent is not an option, you might find that one or two of the players would encourage such discouraging remarks towards the present incumbent, if that is they could honestly and truthfully say so.

Sorry Gav but Kean is a fraud. He is not a manager, never has been and certainly should not be now. Not at this level and not at our place. He is quite comfortable to play the puppet so should take any mud thrown at him. He was given an oppportunity which he took without any regard to the well being of our club and will soon find a new job as a coach else where without a second glance at us leaving us to sink without trace.

Boo him ,cheer him, do what you want but he and Venky`s are taking us down.

I wasn't happy with the January signings and said so at the time. RSC should have never darkened our doors again, the two youngs lads weren't ready. Jones has been OK. We've been looking for a creative attacking midfielder that long I've forgotten how long it actually is ! Maybe it was to replace Bryan Douglas, it seems that long ago.

Not saying I disagree Alan, but you don't sing anti Kean songs with only a few games to go in a relegation battle, you may as well boo the team, in my book pathetic.
