Had to go corporate today ...so a big 'well done' to the support who sounded loud and proud today from the other side of the ground. As for the team, I'm afraid relegation is now a formality. I'm sick of my weekends being spoiled by defeat after defeat because we are punching above our weight, and am resigned, and looking forward, to playing at a level where the result is not a forgone conclusion.

Don't disagree, sure every week I'll wish we were back in the PL but for 90 minutes a week maybe I can enjoy football again. I'm the same as you, every weekend I build up to the game then get put on a downer for ages due to another shambolic performance.

If it wasn't for the fact oblivion beckons it almost wouldn't be too bad.

I just feel totally disillusioned with football these days. For the first time I recall I can't wait for the season to be over.

The singing of anti Kean songs caused violence today Jal.

That's a very blinkered view of things you have their Gav. If you think some chanting about a very unpopular manager can cause in-fighting you should stop and take stock of what's gone on at the club. It's caused by much more than that, including a lot of confusion over happenings over the past six months. And of course fear of the unknown. I wouldn't expect you to understand as you yourself are clearly a very confused fellow.

You said chants about Kean were as bad as boo'ing the team. That suggests that the team are firmly behind their manager. Do you seriously believe that the team are playing for Kean? He lost them a while ago Gav. Even when we've pulled off results it's rumoured the senior players are pulling the strings.

Nothing will stop the team playing like Kean does, including chants, boo'ing or the forthcoming banner I am going to make with Kean as an aggressive looking cock and the two Venky brothers as the two smiley but more hairy balls.

Yeah, let's get behind a guy who hasn't got a clue. Do you fancy going down a league? I don't !!!!!!!

Gav does! There's all these exotic places he hasn't been for a while, and there's 2 games against Burnley!

And--it'll be cheaper!

Very fair comments but I would add the rider that they assume the previous owners left us in good shape.

When you desperately need not one but two quality stikers and end up with a young untested loanee and Benjani until the end of the season, the writing is on the wall. That's before you even get onto the likes of Andrews and a committed but past it Dunn and completely disinterested and past it Emerton and Pedersen in midfield.

And before anyone says we had a good first half of the season under Sam, that's also fair comment but Chelsea were five points clear at the top earlier in the season so if your team isn't good enough it will catch up with you eventually.

All very true - and testament to the qualities of the previous manager who with skill and experience was able to paper over the cracks and fashion a team that knew how to win the matches that mattered and survive in this league.

Now if the anti-Sam haters would only acknowledge this fact the debate over Sam and Kean would be over.

The question is, what happens now and can we survive ? I'd love to think so but after today I would say the players look resigned to their fate.

Tell you what, stay in the golden cup JAL, because singing that cr@p is a kin to booing the team, so well done for contributing to Rovers survival.

Neville Chamberlain promised peace in our time in 1939; perhaps we should have stuck with him too.

Well its obvious we all have the same concern. Rovers.

Don`t boo the gaffer as that won`t help.

Boo the gaffer to get rid of him as we all know he should not be there.

Don`t think it matters anymore because the problem is not Kean, its Venky`s.

When Kean and Venky`s are gone in yeras to come, we will still be here but where will we be watching football? Kean and Venky`s won`t care.

We`re all bickering on here but we all care about the same thing. We are all just coming at it from different angles.

Lovely attitude you've got towards your fellow fans there.

Disgusted.

You're exactly correct. This board was the first real connection I had with Rovers fans being on the other side of the world and since I started posting I have been shocked and appalled by the behaviour of some towards the club, the players and the manager. It's been completely unacceptable in my books. Countless abuse against players and the manager before even a ball was kicked has made me bitter during this time and there is no going back for me. My concept of fans as supporters and unity was shattered by this board after the Ince debacle and the Sam appointment. There was no support for the club, there were just people spouting off their vile opinions about individuals and their hatred for them.

I made countless calls for unity at the club over the last few years, but it used to fall on deaf ears. Now that I've had enough and am speaking out against the fans that I've quite simply had enough of, people are taking notice. Good for you. This will be my last post on this board. I'm disgusted by the sight of people who used to be creating discontent on here, now suddenly calling for unity and pretending that's all they've ever been about. If you honestly believe that, two thumbs up for you, hope you have a good life.

I'd like to point out that nowhere have I abused the fans, insulted them, or belittled them. I have simply pointed out that you reap what you sow, something I firmly believe. It's not about who has the largest penis, it's about who suffers the consequences due to the actions of others. We're all responsible and we're all now suffering as a result. I hope we'll be safe this season for everyone's sake and I will continue supporting this club, but I will do what I wanted to do for a long time and not return to this messageboard again. Clearly, as someone that's not living in England I am seen as an outsider and not welcome here, so I will bid you all adieu and wish you luck with your respective lives.

Another game, another disappointment.

Kean is clearly out of his depth here.

First, is he the only one that can't see that Dunn & RSC should not be starting. Dunn do not have the fitness to play in midfield and at the moment, we cannot afford a passenger in midfield. As for RSC, the more i see of him, the better the sale to Man City looked and the worse the loan look. At the rate he's going, I seriously doubt he will score a goal before the end of the season.

Secondly, his substitutions are poor. Why does he persist in using Roberts when he has done nothing since signing his new contract. In the past, you could at least say Roberts will trouble the defence with his running but he's been totally anonymous for 3 months. Today, he missed another chance when he failed to control Benjani pass into the box. Any other player would have stopped the ball, turned and shoot but only Roberts could have a first touch that result in the ball going 5 meters away. Rochina is probably the only one troubling Everton so why take him off? If we're 2-0 down, might as well try having 3 strikers and ask Rochina to play a bit deeper.

Next, when he took over, I believed he told Venkys that there is no need for hoofballs. I seriously do not see much difference now. Any free kicks in out half, Robbo will hoof it up to Samba. Any throws near the opponent area and Pedersen will do a long throw if he's on the pitch. The only change is that we will make 2, 3 passes now before someone pumps it up.

Sigh, if we stay up, it will be more due to the other teams ineptitude rather than anything we do. Kean has really got to go in the summer regardless.

All around miserable performance today, don't know just don't know what Kean is thinking. Roberts and Benjani and Kalinic again does not get a look in. All around poor game, I'll disagree about Dunny being poor at least there was some genuine effort on his part. We just did not look up for it today.

The funniest thing is how many of the anti-Allardyce brigade claimed attendances would shoot up now we were playing good football and all the fans who were bored with his style of play would come back. Ha! What a ******* joke, we'll be lucky to get 10,000 season ticket holders next season if we get relegated. Vive la good football!!

I still happen to think Blackburn will be safe, simply because you are so much better than the teams below you, and you still have to play West Ham in the run in.

I suspect if you get six points out of the last few games you will begin to believe me. I am as sure as I can be that you will be ok.

I am sorry that it was us who took the three points off you today. (I am glad that we got three points of course, just sorry it was you who we took them off.)

Read my lips....Blackburn will stay up.

Thanks for your words of encouragement but you don't know Rovers. Our run-in is very difficult and it is hard to see where we will pick up one point, never mind six. West Ham are one of our bogey teams and we have not beaten them home or away for years. If you get fed up with Moyes send him over to Ewood .... I'm sure he'd love working for penniless and clueless employers.

I was at Goodison not far from the singing group. I heard no mention of Venky's being Pakis. I did hear "Venky's out" " we want our Rovers back" "I wanna go home, Steve Kean is a ######" All this from a group of perhaps 50 teenagers who believe they are the core of the singing away support. I also saw men in their 50s being extremely aggressive towards stewards who where simply doing their job. These people should know better

The main reason for our loss at Goodison could be Everton's employment of a monster headed out-of-world alien disguised as a steward. Undoubtedly the alien used a ray gun to make the Everton goal become invisible to the Rovers' players.

See first picture in link for the photographic evidence.

Yes. Although the one person they did actually take out did very little, whilst some of the little scrotes who were antagonising people played all innocent when the police came.

I saw a lad thrown out at half time. He was stood smoking, next to the No Smoking sign! Then complained when he was kicked out. I did think the steward team leader was quite aggressive, the one who did all the talking, but I suppose there's a need to be pretty firm from the outset when dealing with a situation. Saying that if I'd been spoken to in that manner I'd have been upset. There wasn't really any trouble but the stewards did keep a very close on eye on things and were clearly prepared to go in if thought necessary.

The fans need to be united, not bickering or gloating over our ex-manager - we should ALL be directing our ire at Venky's not at each other.

United? 'United we stand, divided we fall'. Rubbish, we aren't united at all. These past few pages have seen Kean getting the blame, Venkey's getting the blame, Anderson, Allardyce, supporters, Walker Trust, me etc etc.

The first rule of conflict taught at Sandhurst is 'identify your enemy'. As a single entity we haven't yet done that.

The owners made the decision to get rid of Sam, I don't see how anyone can say the fans had any part whatsoever in his departure. If there had been Sam out banners, mass booing or marches on the street calling for his head then those saying 'it's the fans fault we are in this situation' would have had a point but that didn't happen so harping on about the fans influence is stupid.

I'll hold my hands up I wanted Rovers to explore the option of getting rid of Sam in the summer if they had decided Sam was not the man for them. It would have been the perfect time to do it with his contract running out, time to explore all the options and time to get their man in plus get the players used to the new setup. When Venky's decided to get rid during the season I was shocked but slightly optimistic as I was expecting a proper manager to come in and Venky's were talking about improving the football and pushing for Europe at the time. Instead they gave the job to Kean...

Funny how I remember things differently to you RVR.

What was initially irrational and silly opposition to Allardyce by a few lingering 'Sam...not over my dead body' facebook warriors with a grudge turned into a witch hunt after one very bad result against one of the best and most expensively assembled teams in the world.

I wish I had a pound in my pocket for all the 'I wanted rid of Big Sam BUT in the summer' I'd be walking lob sided.

We did stick with him until well into the war, and when it became obvious that we were within "inches" of losing we did the sensible thing and brought back Winston Churchill. The recovery began at that point!!

I wish I had a penny for the number of posts you mention Sam in, I wouldn't be walking. ;)
