The Kean song , seems quite apt to me !!!!

The Venkys song is a big no no ...

What sort of skewed logic is that waggy76? Both chants are intended to insult and both are distasteful, but calling an Indian Hindu a Paki is about as insulting as it gets. However I doubt those doing the singing would be able to grasp or explain that.

I think you are getting muddled, The Kean chant is distasteful and insulting, the Venkys one was both, plus racist, or is it not a racist term any more?

the raggy deflected goal you mention could have been stopped by a switched on defence not allowing the short corner. This happened several times in the 1st half and either Kean didn't address the problem at half time, or the players don't listen to him.

Man on both posts, strikers coming back with the centre halves, being alert and watching for a short corner was learnt in the school U13's in my day. Pathetic state of affairs for a team of professional footballers. Somebody's 'man' set off to receive that corner and whoever it was couldn't be arsed to go with him. Who was it?

That's the players' fault isn't it?

I can't believe some fans called the Venkey's P**is, ignorant or what. For a start they are Indian and Hindu's. But I always thought that their skin colour would be a problem for a minority.

Skin colour a problem? Rubbish. Hoilett and Samba are hero worshipped, the player of the year is N'Zonzi, half our team are black and nobody calls them for that to the best of my knowledge.

btw Don't you have the letters A and K on your keyboard chocky?

A shocking day, spoilt more by one or two mindless foul mouthed individuals who at point were shouting that they hoped our manager dies, how do I explain that to my young lad who was with me?

Anybody decent who goes to away matches to sit in the middle of a bunch of uncouth, ignorant numpties is keener on BRFC than I am, and sorry brfcfan but anybody who takes young children is not the full shilling.

It's time clubs offered tickets in alternative areas for the decent, the elderly and families etc.

I said sacking Sam was a bad decision- still do.

Could you put that in your sig imy? It'll save you having to keep typing it.

As for Venky's, Gordon's comments are well wide of the mark imo. It might not be your fault if the Venky's drive your car into a wall the day after you sell it to them but the Walkers have the wherewithall to make the necessary checks to see what sort of drivers they are!.

C'mon Simon appointing Rothschilds to find a buyer absolves the Trust from any blame.

If it ever comes out that Rothschilds warned the Trust that the Venkey mob were dodgepots before the sale then I will agree with you.

We are going to get relegated, simple as. Awful performance yesterday - no plan and no desire.

Players arguing and fans divided.

The best thing for us is to go down and have a clear out.

Persuade MO, JH, PJ, RR to stay for one season - build a team around them. They will flourish.

I haven't looked and don't know the answer but does anyone know our comparative records under Kean before and after Jensen joined the Club? I have it in the back of my mind it's been a bit of a train wreck since he assumed coaching duties.

Jensen came / a popular squad member was deserted by the manager? About the same time so take your pick Simon.

Can 't agree. I don't profess to be an expert in this area but I wouldn't have thought Rothschilds' role extended that far beyond making the introduction and pocketing their fee on completion.

Although they did find Gilette and Hicks for Liverpool so you must be right!. ;)

.... I'm sick of my weekends being spoiled by defeat after defeat because we are punching above our weight, and am resigned, and looking forward, to playing at a level where the result is not a forgone conclusion.

That might not happen for quite a few seasons if some peoples concerns are to materialise Neil.

Awful feeling of dread and depression descends once more.

Over a week until the next game, I have no doubts Steve Kean will still be in charge then, and it's difficult to see any other result than a mauling.

We desperately need 3 points, and Bolton at home's probably the best chance of that, coming off the back of what could potentially be an utter tubbing is not the best preparation.

It really does seem like a death by a thousand cuts. A very slow and long and painful capitulation.

I had reservations about all the proposed bidders before the Trust finally sold to Venky's, but you have to assume (as I did being the foolish optimist) that successful business people would not invest big money in something and be so incompetant in managing it.

I've since been to India a few times over the last few months. Met some lovely people, and their business noose appears second to none. However, the country is corrupt from top to bottom. There's seemingly nothing that can't be bought and I'm now extremely worried for the future of our club. Something tells me that even if the Venky's business will suffer, the palms of the top people are still being greased and the option to 'strip the assets' and salvage the operation won't leave them any worse off.

Experts in the field, i.e. Rothchild's and the Trustees should have been more cautious if they really were looking after Jack's interests.

Has anyone got the emoticon for w*****s?

Don't get so shirty with the Rovers faithful GAV. Wait until your hero gets roundly boooed for winning 3-0.

........... Not that I can see that happening again this season.

How's the goatee coming along Abbs? Hope you've got a week's growth though I get a feeling it might just be undermined by the chicken overlords.

He's banned again.

The funniest thing is how many of the anti-Allardyce brigade claimed attendances would shoot up now we were playing good football and all the fans who were bored with his style of play would come back. Ha! What a ******* joke, we'll be lucky to get 10,000 season ticket holders next season if we get relegated. Vive la good football!!

Given that ST's will need to rise by approx 50% would you like to revisit your estimate?

The main reason for our loss at Goodison could be Everton's employment of a monster headed out-of-world alien disguised as a steward. Undoubtedly the alien used a ray gun to make the Everton goal become invisible to the Rovers' players.

See first picture in link for the photographic evidence.

Alien

Ha! Took me a bit to see that!

We did stick with him until well into the war, and when it became obvious that we were within "inches" of losing we did the sensible thing and brought back Winston Churchill. The recovery began at that point!!

Then the likes of Jim's Dad voted Churchill out first chance they got as soon as the war ended. Nice. Easter coming up with us favourites for the drop so it's perhaps timely to point out that Jesus and Allardyce weren't the only ones to be crucified by a baying mob.

Never thought I would see Sam and Jesus likened but you live and learn.

Eh? No of course it's not and it never has been. I find it odd how so many posters use asterisks when the swear filter doesn't recognise it as a swear word. It's an abbreviated name for the country of origin of about 125m people. Surely you must recognise that any racist connotations are only to be found in a variety of accompanying insulting adjectives.

Was English not one of your stronger subjects at school imy?

Do you know vintageadidas that I said the self same thing to my mate in May 66! :(

I'll stop that if you stop getting your penis out every ten minutes, deal?

Been the same since I cancelled all the papers. Anyway why counter a polite request with base vulgarity?

English is my strongest subject Drog- I teach it.

Your last line is incorrect, I'm assuming you have never had someone shout just 'Paki' at you have you? There is no accompanying insulting adjective, just 'paki' I'm from Pakistan Drog and up until 15 years ago the term was only used to insult, now much like the 'n' word it has been "reclaimed."

Just one example Drog:
