You got one... and before I'd read this too! I hope it's to your liking but I don't really care if it's not. It is honest though.

Anyway imy....'kids' who on earth do you think you are trying your best to belittle me in the above way? You wouldn't dare say that to my face so don't say it on here.

Corrected for you. I'm sure you'll feel much more comfortable with it now.

Firstly Drog take a deep breath old chap, inhale-exhale, now look at your posts for the last two days you have belittled and made snide remarks to various posters, pot-kettle-black? ( ;) I merely made a point that kids usually give the response of silence when challenged, thank you for your honest response via PM, I can certainly guess what decade you were brought up in now.

Finally what I say here I would say to your face, I'm that way inclined.

A bit of advice Imy, you can't teach old dogs new tricks.

Our resident klu klux klan member isn't going to change, give up pal, put him the 'pay no mind list' best place for him

KKK? Rather an unecessary insult, and one made without any foundation.

Oh dear I see this thread has fallen down the mineshaft like so many others. Ding ding, round 3,008,282 for the endless bout between the ginger golfing midget vs. the wall bang gang.

Hmmm... Lets see hair colour is a result of a genetics and I am unable to change the colour of my hair. Now change the word hair to skin and you are facing a ban Billy. Taking the p1ss out of my height is hardly covering yourself in glory either is it? Just another keyboard warrior.

... Let me see though midget? wall? Add velcro suit to that list and for some reason Gav springs directly to mind. :P

I don't give a toss, it doesn't offend me because I'm not from Pakistan. Unlike you I care whether things offend other people though.

Again I'll ask - why have you decided you can pass judgement on the reasoning for it being offense? It IS offensive to people from Pakistan. Their reasons are their own and nothing to do with you. If you can't understand the reasons then that's your problem; it doesn't mean the word is acceptable.

The PM has been deleted imy. Sorry but I can't read your response. Did/Could you do that? If not who did?

Fair enough. Since you think of yourself as some sort of powerhouse in every field, I hereby invite you to come down to Coventry for a fight, drinking contest or whatever challenge you feel like doing. Except incest, horse riding, heart surgery or golf, as I have never done those things, nor particularly want to.

Funny how one of the most arrogant, rude, snidy, and insulting people on this board is calling me an internet warrior. It's not like I come here all the time giving it the big 'I am' because I have a reasonably well paid job, read the right wing news papers and naturally lean towards the Conservative Party unlike some here is it?

I still haven't written anything in this thread, so I'll concentrate on the game even if it seems to have been relegated as the topic of discussion.

My word, that was dire. Even with one day of reflection and hindsight, that was easily one of the three worst games I've ever seen the full 90 minutes of ever. Everton played their simple, robust 4-4-1-1 while we answered with the slowest passing game I've seen for years, every player had three touches or more before playing the ball forward and it absolutely killed any chance of building momentum. Everton wasn't much better, they seemed to have gone on vacation already and played almost as slowly as we did. There was absolutely no tempo and almost as few scoring chances, and Everton won by having stronger individual players and an extremely clumsy Phil Jones tackle.

I seriously don't know... What was the plan? How did we plan to win this game?

Totally irrelevant.

It's a highly offensive term. It doesn't matter if you don't understand why, it doesn't change anything. Everyone knows it's offensive so there is no excuse to use it.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1377679/The-fastest-slowest-fittest-players-Premier-League-club.html

Didn't know where to put it, it shows the fittest and fastest players in the pl for every club. Emerton is one of the fastest players in the pl...mmm, Olsson is our fittest player too.

Surely that's inaccurate, it puts Reo-Coker as Villa's fastest player with Albrighton as their slowest, and surely Seb Larsson isn't faster than Jermome at Birmingham, that's just to name a few on that list

irrelevant why? because ? is there not a phrase also indopak? so one "i" causes all this trouble, sounds like they offended just so they can be offended.

Considering how tetchy you get when people talk about being pleased players are injured, I don't think you can complain about being offended for the sake of it.

As I keep saying, it doesn't matter if you agree with it or not. People find it very offensive so there is no excuse to use it. Who are you to decide what people should get offended about? Just don't use it and nobody gets offended. Is it such a wrench to remove that word from your vocab? Is it hell.

Anyway not posting on this again, the words 'head' and 'brick wall' come to mind. I'll just leave people to their ignorance next time, I don't know why I do this to myself.

I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS DEBATE ......

IN THIS THREAD

Maybe by only naming Imy and Gordon I wasn't explicit enough. Stuff related to the Everton game only (yes, including the alleged signing of potentially racist chanting aimed at our owners) in here. Semantics surrounding the English language and the (in) appropriate use of terms like "paki" do NOT belong on here.

Last and final warning.

Was sat on row 7 and the chap infront and his mates where singing "stevie kean he is a ####, he shags pakis" throughout, also "venkys go home, please venkys go homeeee, you stupid black @#/?s, why won't you go home" the first picked up a little, maybe 15 people joined in. The second didn't.

Note: the use of racial words in this post are not my own - I didn't join in and was annoyed that they where being sung.

Note 2: Kean and Venkys out, because they've ruined us. No other reason.

You're loss. I find golf incredibly relaxing, though I am extremely bad at it. The only thing that trumps golf (aside from work and family) is watching the Rovers. Though the Everton match did raise my blood pressure a bit and was hardly relaxing.

And I'm not sure that the words "right wing" are applicable to England's Conservative party. From what I read, they are the equivalent of the USA's Rockefeller Republicans, which hardly qualifies as conservative.

Note 2: Kean and Venkys out, because they've ruined us. No other reason.

I agree as to Kean (and Jensen). If the crowd were chanting "Venkys out" I don't think that productive and don't agree with as: 1) it's not likely that fans can convince an owner to walk away from a 50 million investment; and, 2) I still think they may have what it takes to advance to club. Their errors seem to be the result in acting on self-interested "footballing" advice and naivety, not purposeful intent.

But Kean (and Jensen) need to go. The Everton match is the 10th contest without a win. There hasn't been a win since January. The last ten matches have resulted in 4 draws and 6 losses, or 4 points out of possible 30, or an average of .4 points per match. Extrapolated over an entire season, Kean would be delivering a 15.2 point end result. We are on course for a winless last half of 2010-2011 season. Do we really want our squad's tactics to be set by a management team who aren't up for it?

Not quite true as the home win against WBA must have been in the 2nd half of the season.

You are correct. I was talking generally, in that we seem to be headed to no wins in 15 matchs, roughly half a season. If we're being precise, half the season is 19 matches (league only) which would take us back to December 28. From that point forward he has 3 PL wins to his credit with five matches to go. While I convince myself we'll win everyone of them just before kickoff, objectively speaking I don't feel optimistic about those five.

Personally I can understand why some people don't understand why the term itself is offensive as it's shortening another word. I, however, would not use it because it offends people and it's just one of those things we have to accept despite not understanding it. The word itself may not be vulgar or whatever but when anything is said with venom it becomes an insult. The word most likely derived from bigoted people saying it with venom and thus it offended people and as it DOES offend people of the said minority it's just best not being said...

NOW CAN WE PLEASE STICK TO TALKING ABOUT THE GAME?!

Been talking to some Evertonians today and they could not believe just how poor we were. They thought that they were there for the taking and feared the worst given all their injury problems. One of the blokes from the Ormskirk area is acquainted with Stephen Warnock and, seemingly, Mr Warnock has high hopes of moving to a club in the N.W. come pre season. Any guesses ?

Liverpool?

everton... ? his family are mostly everton fans.

warniock IMO is vastly overated. great going forward, useless in defending. take a look at him in his final 2 seasons with us, at fault for most goals.

diciplinary record is shocking too. this season he had 10 bookings before november if i remember.

Been talking to some Evertonians today and they could not believe just how poor we were.

Going back to the original Q&A's Mercerman and they had already stated they didn't think we had anybody who could hurt us or step upto the mark - which yet again would appear to have been the case.

Wasn't at Goodison and normally don't read too much in to media reports as normally they can vary from one to the next, however every bit of media I have come into contact with since the game be it tv/radio/or newspaper (and on here) all sing from the same hymn sheet.

Lacklustre, passionless, clueless, no attacking threat (except to ourselves), no determination , no energy ... need I go on - Although I'm in disagreement with Gav re Kean, I do agree that there should be no booing during the games (should be saved for pre kick off or after games) and revert back to what I have been constantly saying with regard to the hillbilly in that he should be treated as a none entity until the end of the season.

For those there at Goodison - was the booing during the game - has it come to a head now that all efforts have to be centred on getting Kean removed?

I picked up a sports supplement yesterday from a newspaper on my way home on the train - and as posted above the vein of the report was in very much the same tone about our play or lack of it, but there was a quote from David Dunn along the lines that all the lads are determined and their hearts are in it .. really David?

Now it could have been just lip service for the paper, but if that is the case then we are certainly heading down, because if Saturday's game and the last two months are anything to go by and just adds further recriminations gainst the imposter.

As I have posted previously - we cannot continue to go into games with only 2 or 3 players showing anything along the lines of fight & determination- we need a team of gut busters and to start to try and dictate games by sheer might of everybody pulling together from the start.

We are so severely lacking in urgency in our game and lack idea and creativity in play that its just downright so frustrating to see for the fans and is resulting in the issues as what happened at Ewood.

What is quite evident is that Kean & sidekick needs to be removed with immediate effect (even moreso now) despit the stage of the season to give us the remotest chance of actually staying up.

I still think it will come to the last game at Wolves but if we carry on as we are at the moment, I think it will be the case that we either need to win the game to stand even a chance probably on goal difference or will already be down.

Dunny didn't took too determined at the Eagle at Barrow on Sunday - happily smoking a cigar and sipping a pint with his 8/10 mrs and his little girl.

Nice range rover as well.
