Junior is a doubt for Saturday according to Kean - Santa is fit.

Hoilett being fit is totally key. Losing him and having to play Emerton or someone like that would be totally dispiriting.

Nelsen out is not so bad as he has been steady but not outstanding. Hanley should be okay provided Givet plays left back. Olsson and Hanley in a back four might be asking for trouble...

Well our future this season is looking bleaker by the week as I did predict months ago if I remember rightly...

We need to go down in my eyes... We also need this win or point at the least

WE NEED TO GO DOWN??? WTF

Are you on smack?

The draw feast will go on, 1-1. As Nelsen is out, the big question is if Kean moves Phil Jones down to central defense or keeps him in midfield. If he does, Hanley or Givet (with Olsson continuing as left back) will play alongside Samba in central defense. If Hoilett isn't fit I'd take a chance on Hanley, since we need at lest one flank player (in this case Olsson) with pace. If Hoilett is fit, and considering Kalinic obviously won't play more this year, I'm guessing Kean goes with:

--------------Robinson---------------

-----Salgado-Samba-Givet-Olsson------

Hoilett-J.Jones-P.Jones-Pedersen-----

--------------Dunn-------------------

-----------Santa Cruz----------------

If we keep it tight early on and don't concede a goal within the first 20-30 minutes, I think we will have a chance of getting a point.

Otherwise if we concede early and heads go down, I could see a bit of a hefty defeat...

Robinson

Salgado Jones Samba Givet

Emerton Jones Dunn Ollson

Hoilett

Benjani

Solid back four. Grit in midfield with an outlet in Ollson.

Hoilett to track back and pick up any loose balls. Start counter attacks and link with midfield.

Benjani to run his socks off and make a nuisance.

Lawro's comments:

Everton v Blackburn

Apart from that very good point they took from Arsenal at the Emirates at the beginning of April, Blackburn's recent away record is terrible. Everyone else has turned them over, and done so quite easily too.

They have not been able to rely on their home form either so they need to improve on the road if they are to banish their relegation fears, but they face a tough task at Goodison Park because Everton are one of the form teams in the country at the moment.

A home win for Everton would put the pressure on Liverpool in terms of sixth-place and a Europa League slot. That seems a bit strange, given the Toffees have spent most of the season hovering just above the drop zone, but it has been that sort of campaign for a lot of clubs, and not all of them are heading in the right direction like David Moyes side are.

Prediction: 2-1

Some hope here. Rovers-Everton games are usually close affairs and often go against form, which we definitely need in this case! Will be much harder though if Junior doesn't play.

Everton are very similar to us in terms of talent available and that illustrates the importance of a good manager.

It seems like Everton have a couple of players injured and others are major doubts which hopefully should help - just hope we battle like our lives depend on it.
