You've made it public - so here's the PM I sent to you (in what I thought was confidence),copied and pasted word for word -->

Hi can you provide proof with links to back up your comments where you name me please - Thanks."

Your turn.

Yes, you have proved what you said, is it not ridiculous? Everyone knows you were anti Allardyce so why are you PMing people and asking them to prove it?

Gav, I know Sam picked his games. He still shouldn't have been sacked. Look where we were then and where we are now. Losing against all our direct rivals.

You do love to troll my posts otto. Is it some sort of inferiority complex on your part?

Nope! Tis nothing but the shear disbelief at how staggeringly self opinionated and conceited you actually are. As has already been pointed out to you, you'd be far better starting your own forum where you can provide both questions and answers in threads of your own making(after all, that's the only way you'd get a sensible reply, right?) The other bonus would be that you wouldn't have to stoop to share it with us plebs, who are obviously so far beneath you.

You literally contribute nothing to this board in the way of football discussion. Let's see your last few posts.

I think you need to go and take a lie down my friend . you're taking this way too seriously!
Abbs. You start pointless threads!....eh?..oh sorry! I thought that was an instruction.
Is this the same Allardyce who by his own admission is unable to find employment because of how his game is perceived by potential employers? I think your retrospective rose tinted glasses need a clean Theno!
Out of the horses mouth! The Messiah?......Messiah my arse!
A sign, a sign, give us a sign!
Oh God! I didn't think of it like that.......Quick! where's me rubber?
+1,000,000

No, he's conducting a witch hunt. Mercerman and a couple of others on here are the ones responsible for generating a lynch mob mentality. I don't think I've ever seen such ill feeling and such a divided board in all my time on here and in my opinion it aint healthy. I also suspect MM is not a genuine Rovers fan, but a fan from a club not a million miles away from here.

This is a football discussion board, yet you contribute absolutely nothing. No matter what you think of me (and a lot of what I do to antagonise people is basically designed to wind up plebs like yourself, which seems to be working well), that's not really something which could be levelled at me.

Christ, I might have knocked Tris in my earlier post but even his opinions, however biased they were, were at least contributions.

And once again we are all subjected to your own peculiar brand of conceit. So now the quality of my post is lacking? Oh I do so humbly apologise, oh omniscient one. Do us all a favour. Go and disappear up your own back passage little man.

 "Conceit" is defined as excessively favourable opinion of one's own abilities.

I'm expressing negative opinions of your abilities to perform the simple task of making half decent posts on a football messageboard, whilst merely saying that my posts contain some football discussion in them.

Learn how to use basic English words, and make some vaguely useful contributions to the board before you start criticising other peoples.

And stop the obsession with me, it's getting rather tiresome.

Thanks.

And now you want to argue semantics(google that one Doc) with me? You really take the biscuit! Arrogant, conceited, self opinionated and well, let's just leave it there shall we?

"Thanks" :wacko:

No, just that you like to use words that you don't fully understand the meaning of to make yourself look more intelligent than you are.

Possibly because of an inferiority complex

Have a good day otto, I look forward to your next trolling.

When you googled "conceited" and lifted the definition almost verbatim, you shouldn't have been in such a hurry. Had you scrolled a little further down you'd have seen a more comprehensive definition( Go on! look it up and then tell me my use of the word was wrong) :wstu: .. Disclaimer;[/u] non of the words above containing more than two sylables needed to be googled by the author..... Shame the good "Doc" can't say the same

If I want a proper dictionary definition, then I usually need to use Google. Have you memorised the Oxford English Dictionary otto man? No need to put "Doc" in inverted commas either.

adjective

1.

having an excessively favorable opinion of one's abilities, appearance, etc.

2.

Archaic .

a.

having an opinion.

b.

fanciful; whimsical.

3.

Obsolete . intelligent; clever.

I ignored the archaic and obsolete meanings since they're obviously irrelevant.

Anyway, this is going wildly off topic.

Not only are you wrong again, incapable of generating any kind of footballing discussion, but you're also really, really dull.

Let's leave it at that, shall we?

Have I memorised the dictionary? No it's called Education. I had one. Trying to splt hairs and claim that my use of the word "Conceited" in the context it was used was wrong, simply highlights your limited grasp of grammer(you proved that by having to google the definition in the first place) As for not discussing football with YOU. Why the hell would I? After all you're the one advocating the return of a man who is by his own admission, regarded by those in the know in the football world(The clubs themselves) as unemployable. I do believe the quote was something along the lines of; "I can't get a job because of the long ball tag"

As for my being dull...tsk tsk. Is that the best you can do "Doc"?..... Game, Set and Match I believe

Yeah otto, you're right. You had an education. I didn't.

I rest my case.

I'd just like to apologise for making Tris's PM public, a bit of a dick move...

No worries - accepted. Time for everyone to support the team regardless of any side arguments!!

Souness was the only one of three of those managers who would have got us relegated.

Agreed. We were in deep trouble and GS had about 2 weeks to turn it around when NUFC unbelievably came in and paid good money for him! Also I still view the Rangers / Ferguson / Amorusso deals as 'dodgy' in the extreme. He carried on baling Rangers out at Newcastle too with the ridiculous Boumson deal. <_<

If GS had been snaffled by Spurs 2 years earlier when we beat them and qualified for Europe I'd have had him up there with Hughes and KMD. However he wasn't and he treated that European competition with disdain, he ran the squad down and imo he was an integral part of the bad smell emanating from our deals with the Ibrox mob.

You're missing the point as usual - Mourinho and Allardyce both set up their teams not to lose. Neither manager's teams are pretty to watch but they know how to win football matches which is the point of the whole exercise.

Somthing you forgot when you rejoiced at Sam leaving.

There really are many similarities. Both set their teams up to stop the opposition playing to their strengths first and foremost. Pretty football is not a priority. Rem Mourinho had two of the World Cups best wingers in Robben and Duff and made em play narrow in support of a lone striker! If he'd ever managed BRFC the boos for doing that would have rung out loud and clear at Ewood.

He lost to Leeds on year on my birthday (10th April), and I really thought he had to go then, but he somehow managed to cling on anothe ryear I think.

I seem to rem Matteo had a stormer for Leeds in midfield against us that game. About the only time I ever saw him play well.

Was that the year Chelsea were beating teams 3 and 4-0 consistently? Played a lot of attractive football that year.

Mourinho has had his team playing "pretty" football this season. Typical 11 consists of Alonso, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Ozil, Benzema with Marcelo overlapping, thats 6 out 10 outfield players who are attack minded. As I've said before only against Barca he changes things around, his mentality is always to win.
