McClarky
After yesterday's results a point wouldn't be a bad result, we do have to win a game somewhere if we want to get out of this though. I can see it being 1-1.

vintageadidas
Benjani has been fantastic in training. He will start. Hope we play 4 - 4 - 2 City are better than us in every department. Quicker, stronger, more skillful and so on. 7000 fans will make it feel like a home game. We have to "go to war" for a point or three. However, i think we will get overrun in midfield whilst we create very few chances. 0-
Backroom Tom Posted April 24, 2011 Backroom Share Posted April 24, 2011 Benjani has to start for me, I think over the season he's about our best striker in terms of causing problems for the opposition and about the only one who can create something for himself. I'd like to see junior and rochina both supplementing the attack if possible. Adidas is right though I can see city fans comfortably outsinging us after being on the beer all day so the fans have a big part to play
John
Kean seems to like/favour Roberts though - I want M Diouf to be in the starting line up, or at least brought on the pitch as a sub (if necessary), got a feeling he can be the spark we need in these final few games. Backroom Tom Posted April 24, 2011 Backroom Share Posted April 24, 2011 I wouldnt complain at any of or any combination of Diouf, Benjani, kalinic or rochina starting up top but I imagine the one none of us want to see will!

Nelsta
Hate when we play city, I know a few city fans and I never hear the end of it when they beat us. I reckon it's going to be a week of ignoring my phone\facebook\going out....basically closing the curtains and crying in the dark. Rovers O - 3 Citeh. Guest linganzi
A lot of city fans creeping out if the woodwork, a lot of them have a lot to say, there seems to be so many more city fans. Mercenaries with a cup final on the horizon , easy win for rovers

Backroom Tom Posted April 24, 2011 Backroom Share Posted April 24, 2011 It does add up with what Gumboots said, having him doing extra sessions shooting in an open net shows he may be struggling in training. It does make me laugh how he's constantly referred to as our best finisher when in 2 years he's shown this once or twice and in fact I'd say Mame's goal against Bolton was a better finish than Niko's against WBA. 47er
The key, as always, is mid-field and I fear we'll be over-run there as someone said above. Jones and Jones will have to play like 3 men!
Steve Moss
The key, as always, is mid-field and I fear we'll be over-run there as someone said above. Jones and Jones will have to play like 3 men! We're assuming Kean doesn't move P. Jones back to replace Nelson. Personally, I think we have options in the back 4, we don't in the midfield, and moving Jones to the back line would be a mistake. But what do I know?

Let's not use a key and just kick the frackin door down. Benji and Roberta up front and pump balls into the box every chance we get. Two holding mids and the quick boys on each wing, run toward the box and ping it in there.
AggyBlue
With Ewood being the place for away teams to break hoodoo's and City not recording an away win in 2011 yet, the omens don't look good. I'll go for a very nervy 1 - 0 to us though.
imy9
My head says 2-1 City, my heart says 1-0 Rovers. I feel that we will score first, it all depends on whether or defense can hold onto the slim lead.

magicalmortensleftpeg
-------------Robinson Salgado Samba P.Jones Givet -----------J.Jones Emerton --Hoilett----Rochina----Olsson ---------------Kalinic Niko warrants a go and Roberts is only ever effective as an impact sub. Against Chelsea and Liverpool at home Benjani was brilliant so if he got the nod instead of Niko then I wouldn't complain.
den
It does add up with what Gumboots said, having him doing extra sessions shooting in an open net shows he may be struggling in training. Also adds up with what I said a couple of days ago. There's no evidence that Niko can shoot.

danielwhite813
Whens the last time anyone came to ewood and gave us a battering. Even under Kean we have been fairly strong at home. I am going for a a hard earned draw.
