Doesn't matter if we played well or were unlucky when you're in the ###### it's the points that count.

The next two games are massive, I think we will need a minimum of 4 points from the Bolton and West Ham games so a draw and a win from those two games. I can't see us getting anything from the United game and the Wolves game will be really tough.

Did you really expect Rovers to beat city tonight. I was optomistic. Thankfully it was Only one goal, which helps the goal average - that is in Rovers favour.

There we go. Any excuse for a pop. Benjani was as useful as Roberts. Kalinic wasn't ever going to do much, he never has.

If add Hoilett into the mix and I think we have enough to survive. It will be close and Bolton will be the key.

Name me one manager who would have made that decision - I call it how I see it. It was suicide to make that change especially after Dunn went off injured. He appears to have the support of the players which is good but it really bugged me tonight when I could see what was going to happen and a man who apparently watches us over and over again on TV couldn't.

The next match has been huge since Christmas this season it would appear.

Minimum 4 points? What are you expecting the sides below us to do? Win all of their games?

Wolves have a game in hand and an easy run-in.

West Ham are bottom and play City next, but then have three winnable games, so a couple of wins could well do them.

Since there's five teams who are most at risk, it just needs two teams to pull themselves clear.

Just got home from the game.

Our back four were awesome, and we had plenty of effort and work rate (3 months too late).

But looking at the game clinically it was Robbo and the cross bar that kept us in it.

Joe Hart DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE SAVE TO MAKE IN 90 MINUTES...this is not good enough!

A special mentionhas to be made of Phil Jones, he was fantastic.

why is everyone acting like we won? we still lost, we dont get points for being 'unlucky'. My views on kean havent changed, hes still a muppet and rovers are no better off points wise, wolves also have a game in hand. I know im going to get mullered for writing that but thats the way i feel, we havent all of sudden turned a corner, things are still as bleak as they were after the everton game, anyone who thinks bolton will be a walk over is living in cloud cuckoo land.

I think that's it, game over. Even if we beat Bolton it's not going to be enough.

Depressing, narrow minded view whatever you wanna call it. It's still realistic.

Utter crap, a win and we stay up - it's the getting of such a win when we can't buy a goal that is going to decide our fate.

No other team below us given their run ins will win two games from the remaining 4.

Absolute cr@p. Whilst their is still hope - points to play for. I will be at WHU.

They're picking up results, we're not. We can't find the back of the net at the moment, though we're not helped by playing Benjani and Roberts upfront.

Not really. All of the teams down the bottom are in terrible form.

Blackpool are bottom of the form guide with two points from their last 6 (one point came against us).

Then there's other with three points from our last six.

West Ham have four points from their last six.

Wolves (8) and Wigan (7) are doing better.

This is all going to come down to how we do against Wolves and West Ham really. If we play like we did today then we can beat them...and we can beat Bolton.

Precisely TGM.

Rovers could end up only picking up another point this season and manage to stay up because the sides below us don't pick up wins. But at the same time if they pick up the odd win and we don't then we are going down.

I would rather be in the situation where survival is in our own hands instead of having to rely on there being 3 poorer teams than us.

We lost by one goal - we were not murdered today - apart from the offside rule.

What's your point?

Yes we played well, but his tactical faux pas left us wide open, that was clear, when a point would have been well received it was stupid to throw a forward in in midfield against Toure, Silva, De Jong and Barry, suicidal.

The way we started did not match Keans pre game talk, the players pulled their sleeves up after 20 mins and played well. They came out second half and continued their good play, fair play to Kean for his half time teamtalk sending them out as he did. That was followed by the decision to replace Dunn with Rochina, surely he must have had plans for Dunn coming off as it was inevitable yet he made thus choice.

Wolves and West Ham could quite easily win two from the remaining games they have.

I think four points could be enough for us, three won't be, and five and above probably will be.

GUTTED!!!

Expected us to get beat comfortably, perhaps 3-0. To then lose the game 1-0 in a half were we was on top, is gutting. The players give alot tonight, battling for their lives from the 1st minute to the last. At 0-0 we went with 3 strikers on the pitch, it didnt work out. So then we went with 4 strikers....cant say we didnt go for the 3 points.

Yes we lack goals, we have for years. Yes we dont have the best players in the world, but we dont half battle. For me today it was key that we showed battling qualities from the 1st minute....we did exactly that.

2nd half the fans did well backing the team (until we scored) and Citys support was PATHETIC for one of their most important games for years.

Following today I go into saturday with hope, for me - we NEED 3 points from that game, 1 MIGHT be enough but to give us some space we really NEED 3.

COYB - KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH!!

West Ham and Wolves have both won 3 games since the end of January though. And both have actual managers in charge, who won't make decisions like the one which cost us a point today.

Wolves have a game in hand and an easy run-in.

Wolves have a whole lot of derbies ahead. At least that means the opposition will have something to play for regardless of their safety status.

I have been very optimistic thus far and even tonights performance gives me some hope. But i'm starting to fear the very worst.

Just a thought and apologies for not looking this up myself, but does our Utd fixture coincide with either Schalke CL tie? In terms of resting any big names?

I want Kean out as many on here. Sending Rochina on to replace dunn was in the hope of him scoring a goal and therefore rovers win the match. Maybe for 20 minutes they weathered the expected storm - Kean may have said thay we would go for city from kick off 'publicly'. yet all along had the players weather the storm - then go for city. which they did.

So what because I am not this massive optimist everyone shoots me down as talking utter crap.

I don't think we will beat Bolton, just like we didn't beat Blackpool or Birmingham in those "winnable" games.

And we struggle massively away from home, but as we can't beat Wigan away we somehow will beat west ham and wolves.

Our best chance of survival went with the home games against Birmingham and Blackpool.

Don't forget we are away to West Ham and Wolves so assume we may give both of them at least a point.

United could be champions by then.

Then think positive and not negative then you will see hope.
