Edited my post! PAPR (Paul Agnew PR).

Having said all of that, just learnt that they (Venky's) going to be on Granada reports tonight.

Ouch,

won't be in, no doubt someone can relay the details.

You would assume they've been told to make all the right soundbites "won't walk away" "in it for the long term" Will "fund a promotion attempt even if we go down" etc etc.

And hopefully it will be true.

I know these people are actively trying to destroy our club through their indifference and incompetence but sod them.

Just when you'd made a cracking post before you go and post nonsense like that.

Yes of course, they're deliberately trying to destroy their own investment.

Venky's are aware of the situation but they are keeping silent until the outcome has been found. They are not doing this to 'protect themselves' or any other such rubbish. They are keeping away from the press to allow the focus to be entirely on picking up the necessary points to stay up. 'Unwelcome distractions' I believe they are called. Making statements now, regardless of how bad/good they are will obviously push pressure levels further up so they are doing the best thing and keeping silent. They want the fans to be behind the team 100%.

One of the few good decisions they've made I suppose.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR THEM TO PUT PRESSURE ON!!!!! NON PRESSURE HAS DONE BUGGER ALL SO FAR!

It's on itv player about to watch it now, think it's a small segment compared to the one at 6.

http://www.itv.com/granada/rovers-owners-back-kean77332/

Man with the pony expects 8th place and pushing for Europe this time next year and for us to be "winning a cup, they deserve that."

Venkatesh says that Kean will be starting next season as Blackburn Rovers manager next year regardless of division.

Delusional, really delusional, they seem nice enough but just dont have a clue about football, saying what they think we (the fans) want to hear.

Please don't depress people even more than they are now.

akin to saying we won't pay to fire him now and we don't care what happens next season when not in the premier league

This club is royally screwed

Sounds to me like they are happy to accept relegation........... very worrying.

Another informed poster getting caught out.

So they're keeping quiet..... just before the pony tailed one comes out with a TV interview ;)

They are stringing Kean along something rotten aren't they? Well those who live by the sword die by the sword.

And for those who don't know what I am talking about, read the Benitez thread if you want cheering up about next season if we stay up.

We still have to stay up so CHEER ON THE LADS ON MONDAY!!!

After watching the TV Interview clip I can't comprehend what is going on. The club is in turmoil, nothing seems to be getting done that needs to be, its really depressing me. I don't enjoy going to games anymore and my team is going to ###### and this has happened in the space of 6 months. The manager is only part of the problem but there is a complete lack of leadership and communication within the club and outside the club. The lack of leadership and communication is pretty much forcing the fans hand with regard to the protest, in an ideal world we should be there supporting the team but the point has to be made, Ive read here letters have been written and emails been sent, to no avail so our next option is something which is the mainstay of our country the right to peacefully protest. We have to do this in a constructive manner and in a way that does not effect the players in a negative way.

We have had some great days at Ewood in the past but things have to change potential great days of the future.

I've met Kean, he's a very nice guy, by all accounts he is also a top top coach.

This, IMO, is a total myth.

Top coaches have track records as a coach - Brian Kidd, Ray Harford, Steve Clarke - all backed-up by silverware.

Just WTF has Kean done to warrant being called 'a top coach'. He has no track record of note and was rescued from the unemployment scrap heap by Sam.

Phillip I have had a look at the Rafa thread can see nothing in there to cheer me up for next season, could you kindly clarify or direct to a post to read, god knows we all need some cheer.

I haven't seen a statement saying that's what they want.

In fact I haven't seen any statement from them for about two months

Philip is clearly hinting that if we stay up he has received inside info that Kean will be replaced by Benitez.

Just how much weight we can place on that is uncertain given he seemed equally certain Diego Maradona would be pitching up at Ewood.

I was taking the micky out of the pony tail about Maradona- the reality is Balaji chased after Maradona a lot longer and harder than ever made any sense let alone any for keeping any personal or club dignity.

I understand that matters with Rafa have reached an entirely different level.

IMO, every second that Kean stays in charge, he damages our club.

Monday has to be the time to protest loud and long given world wide coverage. It should be aimed directly at Kean before, during and after the match in order to maximise embarassment and, hopefully, culminate in either his resignation or sacking. The players will know that it is not directed against them. If speculation is correct, the senior ones are calling the shots anyhow.

How the hell otherwise do we get rid of him.

It's a tough, tough match on Monday and I think we'll be lucky to even get a sniff of a point.

With Kean out of the way for the last 4 matches, IMO, we will have a huge chance.

That is genuinely fascinating information and I look forward with interest to seeing if you are right.

That sniff will surely vanish if the crowd concentrate on abusing the manager and not backing the team.

Fans will get behind the team if somehow we can score the first goal - but when did that last happen ?

The likelihood is we'll compete well for an hour and then fall away as City's superior quality shows through.

I understand the need to get behind the club but this fool of a manager needs to know what fans really think of him.

If he had any shame he would have resigned by now anyway.
