And IF Rovers are relegated?

Then - Kean and the owners deserve all the flak going.

Even if we stay up, the signs are he's maybe not the man for the job.

It could be terminal for us as a Club if we are relegated though, so we need to get behind the team and manager (whoever that may be) and let fly with recriminations afterwards.

I understand your outlook RevidgeBlue, the only trouble is, we are heading for the exit with Kean in charge anyway. If you have a look at the fixtures and the teams we play, we have no chance of staying up with Kean in charge. So, I say we bite the bullet now, protest en masse before the game (not on the match day but on Saturday for example), try and get a change and if it works then great. If it doesn't then, we save all the stick for after the city game WHEN we get beat and try and back the PLAYERS during the City game itself in the hope that we may nick a result.

What does everyone think?

Easter Saturday - organised protest - STEVE KEAN OUT? Let's get it sorted...

Whatever people decide to do, it will need to get bloody good press and for me that means at a game. I think we have to support the lads for Monday during the match but if we play poorly then the protest's starts. You'll need SKY and the such to get the xposure you'll need to make Venky's listen.

Although not great I have Emailed several Indian newspaper editors explaining our plight and the poor image they have created of Indian business within the EPL, hopefully one gets back to me.

I think Sky and Granada and the national rags would get themselves up to Ewood on Saturday, if a protest gets the support to go through with it. Anything controversial and they seem to be on it. Whatever happens, apathy from the fans will see us go down. If we don't act, then Venky's won't act and we are down with Kean in charge. I would actually love to hear any Rovers fan say any different with Kean in charge.

WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE

That will look extremely silly in the admittedly unlikely event we put in a spirited performance and get three points.

isn't that the problem?

We either want Kean or we don't, we want to protest or we don't.

One win and we are fine, one defeat and we storm the boardroom?

Great point Matty blue, some people need to make their minds up now because we are simply running out of time. I, myself, have tried to back Kean at different stages down the line as ultimately I want the team to do well and win. I think now though, regardless of what happens some people need to nail their colours to the mast and mine is firmly KEAN OUT, we are doomed otherwise. The players are clearly not behind him and that is based on evidence over the last few months. We actually have a decent squad for this league, one that is far more capable than being in the position that it's in and the blame for that has to lie squarely at the manager's door.

It's pointless trying to shut the starting gates now that the horse has bolted.

There is no way that your going to get a horse back into the stalls before the race is over.

The time to reassess the situation is in the summer.

In the meantime everyone is going to have to get behind the team, and just hope for a miracle to happen.

I understand your point but one win and we might well be on the verge of avoiding relegation.

Booooo.................... we're staying up!!

It will look completely ridiculous to the wider footballing world.

What will a protest achieve?

Change of manager? No. Because there is no point at this stage of the season. No manager can come in and effect a miracle turn around with a bunch of internationals, some of whom might actually benefit from a Rovers relegation if they don't fancy life with the new bloke.

New manager. Complete turnaround. No chance. Because if you get rid of Kean, you have to replace him with someone who is going to make a difference with no margin for error.

Anyway, protest on. Venkys aren't going to unseat him. They will lose too much face and, let's not forget, there are four teams below us, two of whom, we are still to play. If we were adrift at the bottom with nothing to lose, it might be possible that there would be a change of manager. At the moment, you might as well protest about the weather.

The club I have supported for twenty years, you say. Try lifetime. (Or forty-seven years.) A lifetime, like my kids, and their grandad, and his grandad and the whole lot of them. Born Rovers supporters, not fans. I shed no tears for those crying over your 'club what's been wrecked'. Ask yourself, who is doing the wrecking now?

Pity you weren't there when we were relegated to third tier. Last game of the 78/79 season. Fred Pickering caretaker manager, I remember. A few thousand of us - there were only around 5000 at the game - held our own protest at the end of the game. It was a protest in SUPPORT of the club. They couldn't move us out of the Blackburn End. Chanting our support for the team and club for the best part of an hour. There was no 'sack the board' or blaming everyone in sight. And I read some of the attention-seeking tear-jerking sob stories on here about how we should save the club and wonder how many on this board were in the crowd at the end of that season. Maybe you should post your views on what's happening now.

In my opinion, there is only one way you can uphold our proud tradition. Stop pretending we are Newcastle United or Liverpool. Protests at Ewood won't make too many media waves.

Instead lets get behind the team and every player for the whole game. Let's make our voices heard in support of the team where we can make the most difference. Not on your keyboard, but at the match. Support the lads and get it loud to the season's end.

I disagree with that. It may not work, thats for sure, but history suggests that it could work also. Often, a team's results will improve when a new manager comes in and the relief amongst the fans will be palpable if they sacked Kean. This would make for a cracking atmosphere and lead to a sense of hope. With two home games coming up, this could result in 2 wins, which might be enough to keep us up. Surely its worth a go as the alternative is certain relegation. Also, if we bring in a new guy and get relegated, there may be some positivity for next season and people might actually buy season tickets. I can only see positives in sacking him.

No disrespect to your opinion intended, but i've been doing that all season and for the last twenty regardless of predicament or success.

Regarding this season, I would say the fans have been very supportive at home, where we've tried our best to lift the team but to no avail since Sam left. Away from home, we've consistently sold a large percentage of our allocated tickets and these fans have been fantastically vocal, even when losing heavily as I have witnessed several times.

The problem is markread, none of this is having any effect whilst Steve Kean is in charge. I'm not suggesting Steve Kean is to blame for everything that's going wrong on the field but the buck has to stop with the manager and you only need to look at his record and his complete lack of experience as a manager, which reinforces this point. I guarantee if everyone follows your advice (and carries on as we have been) then we are going down. I salute you for following the team over a number of years but I do suggest just this one time, that you listen to some of your fellow rovers who can see exactly where we are heading whilst the situation remains the same.

The usual 'good old days' routine, we struggled to pay the electric bill back then, had no training ground and not even enough footballs to train with.

Completely different situation to a club that has spent almost 20 years in the top flight, and has been run superbly on and off the pitch.

That is why I am so frustrated with our rapid decline.

Too late for a protest now. In fact, any protest now, will make the situation even more unbearable. Kean should have been sacked after the Fulham match, when that did not happen, that's when the fans should have shown their anger. Its clear that Kean is not going to resign, and its clear that Venkys are more interested in the IPL than than the EPL at the moment. I would guess that they Venkys, don't even know what is going on at the moment, and that we are in serious trouble.

Kean is a joke manager and his comments post match were a disgrace,a new man in charge would lift the dressing room and make the players fight for their places, that is what's needed. kean needs to know how much rovers fans hate him for not holding his hands up and admitting he is way out of his depth, with kean in charge we are 100% going down.
