[Archived] MESSAGE TO VENKYS

Recommended Posts

"Venky's are not surprised about the revelations in The Sun and would not be surprised if there are further revelations of wrong-doing prior to our purchase and ownership of the club."

That is a ridiculous statement to make (if true, as from The Sun).

Do me a favour chaps, I've got the halfwit on ignore.

You really are odious.

If brains were rain, you'd be a desert.

I will respond no more to you - you simply are not worth it.

Indeed... obviously it's not the fact they've released a statement that bothers me, it's the content of the statement. If it's not from an authorised source from Venky's hierarchy then fair enough, but if it is then it's really, really poor.

Something simple like:

"Venky's are aware of the current situation and although these allegations relate to a time before our purchase of the club we will fully comply with any FA investigation into this matter. We will also be launching an internal investigation and no further comment will be made until this is complete."

would basically cover all bases necessary and not explicitly take a swipe at the previous ownership, which

"Venky's are not surprised about the revelations in The Sun and would not be surprised if there are further revelations of wrong-doing prior to our purchase and ownership of the club."

certainly does. I don't like having a go at Venky's for the hell of it, because to an extent I do believe their hearts are in the right place, they just seem to be so unsophisticated in terms of basic PR.

Lunacy to call Kean to Pune and issue that statement in the Sun this week of all weeks."

To call the manager to bloody India this week is treating the club and its supporters with contempt, get a grip Desai and sort yourself out, quickly, you are an embarrassment to our Football Club.

Shut up Hughesy and grab your pitchfork!

Stop using reason.

All due respect Hughesy and Tom but:

"Venky's are not surprised about the revelations in The Sun and would not be surprised if there are further revelations of wrong-doing prior to our purchase and ownership of the club."

If they have really said that, they want shooting. They are correct to investigate but to suggest further wrong doing wouldn't be a shock, is complete lunacy.

Shame on the Lancashire Telegraph for running the story totally agree with Revidge blue.

Hearing Plunkitt is going to be leaving the Telegraph for the BBC, looks like hes trying to put the boot in before he leaves.

what a shocking piece of journalism that is.. a complete non story.

ive missed that story as i dont buy the rag.. they havent been back to rovers since that game in feb, have they ?

on plunkett, i know a how the guy operates and stuff.. as ive stated in previous threads, but cant see him instigating this.. its more of a news story than sport one.

shame on the LET, and especially the family for even going to the press with it. :angry2:

they must be after freebies.. simple as that.. theyd wouldve got paid for the story.. in 90% certain.

the bashing and slandering of the family is constant and has been since they took over.

i understand it from the nationals, (anti small norther clubs) but rovers can do without the local press bashing us up too. its a disgrace.

HOW ? :wstu:

by regime do you mean, the trust, JW, the management team, WHAT?

"Venky's are not surprised about the revelations in The Sun and would not be surprised if there are further revelations of wrong-doing prior to our purchase and ownership of the club."

that could relate to anything... previous dodgy contracts and transfer dealings.. could refer to ex players absolutely everything.

the statement to me. is open and honest (they are not hiding anything) and to me strongly indicates that venkys know more than they are letting on.. otherwise they would not have made the statement.

wait and see.

They're mud slinging, plain and simple.

Don't call me stupid.

Recently I was going to post something similar to these words below in many circles due to our new ownership we have lost so much respect Venky's really do need to get a grip asap and start running us properly.

AS we survey the ever growing mess that has been Blackburn Rovers season, we should perhaps recall the words of the American billionaire Warren Buffett.

It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it, was the phrase.

It is only a few short months since Rovers were one of the most well respected clubs in the Premier League. They may not always have been the most popular, given a certain national disapproval over Sam Allardyces footballing methods, but they were respected. A man like John Williams at the helm played no inconsiderable part.

WHAT ELSE COULD THIS MEAN IF THAT IS NOT INSINUATING WRONG DOING BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS / MANAGER / CHAIRMAN - OR WHOEVER BEFORE THEY BOUGHT THE CLUB? WHAT OTHER EXPLANATION IS THERE?

that could relate to anything... previous dodgy contracts and transfer dealings.. could refer to ex players absolutely everything. A PLAYER CANNOT TRANSFER THEMSELVES

AS we survey the ever growing mess that has been Blackburn Rovers’ season,

Don't agree with this blog at all. Results and performances have been improving steadily recently and we could easily finish in a steady if unspectacular 15th spot.

The Givet saga is probably much ado about nothing, but if anyone is at fault it is Givet and/or the previous regime.

Kean is a "doughnut" for being caught drink driving but that is down to him as an individual and again that isn't the owners' fault.

The season since December has been a nightmare and any attempt to gloss over it is nonsensical.

The article is pretty much bang on IMO. Venky's decison making has been careless and naive illustrating a complete lack of understanding of football.

The role of manager and chairman in a football club is vital - most manager's cite their success on the ability to work well, and with, their respective chairman (one of Fergie's golden rules).

The treatment of our previous manager and chairman showed a complete lack of respect and ignorance. Fair enough Venky's can bring in their own people, however as always timing is key, their's was atrocious.

You say we could finish 15th, however as it stands, with 1 game left we are only 1 point outside the relegation zone (also fortunate that our relegation rivals have very tough away matches too, not that I am complaining.)

Let's hope they learn from their mistakes....

Horrible article.

No reason at all for trying to stir things up more than needed and especially by the local paper.

If Rovers do survive on Sunday there will be much relief, but little reason for pride or celebration. What? Im going to cry my heart and celebrating Premiership survival in a very difficult period of transition which has seen the closest Premier League race in modern times.

COYB!

Sorry for being harsh. I read your comment again and I tend to agree with you that this season isnt anything to celebrate in general, but the relief when it is decided that we are above relegation places are something to celebrate!

how dyou know ?

and again.. you said "It's insinuating the previous regime were corrupt IMO."

to post an inflamatory statement It's insinuating the previous regime were corrupt IMO

and not indicate what you mean and why --- WHICH YOU STILL HAVENT DONE is stupid! IMO and you would only be 'mud slinging' yourself.

so come on explain.. or you'll make yourself look daft!

to PAFFELL. i wasnt on about players transfering themselves. could be issues with an ex players transfer to and from rovers, or specifically relating to a player who had problems and issues.. criminal or otherwise injuctions.

i guess you know that and just wanted to be your usual pedantic self! :P

:P

again due to the statement from venkys, give it time and wait and see.

I agree with the article.

I'll be at Wolves and if/when we survive, the sense of relief I will feel will be overwhelming, but this season is nothing to celebrate.

I thought this but mainly if we lose and stay up , will hate Kean a lot and still be very happy to stay up.

Draw and a win and I should be ok overall.
