Why do people keep taking this out of context?

We don't HAVE TO SELL. That's the difference.

But when players (like Jones) want to leave, we have little option but to take the money and run.

will you be saying this if Samba goes to Arsenal ? cos unless the money is reinvested in the side we will be in the mire......Samba and Jones for that matter were awesome those closing few games....the diff between staying up or going down in my opinion but as I have stated previously we should never have been in that situation but thanks to Venkys , Anderson , Kean and Jensen we were....

Using this thread which probably isnt the right one, but here goes.

What I loved to see from the Rao family is,

One, establish a second base around here.

Two, set up a chicken factory or another core business in Blackburn that employs a few people using this as a base to the UK and Europe.

Then begin the Xpress business, or fast food outlets, as chicken curry is on all of our taste buds, just waiting to be had if Venky's can please that palet.

Three, keep a firm eye on your advisors and get our bloody team Blackburn Rovers achieving in the English premier league, thus growing both the Venky's and the Rovers brand simultaneously blowing any negativety from me and others, completely out of the water.

Hopefully that's what they are about, Jal. I've read all sorts of stuff that indicates that this is what they are hoping to do.

The latter point is the one they need to concentrate on, they've already got experience in the former!

Ouch Somebody should email this to Venkys. Of course I am just being negative and I should not have these concerns for the club. Even though others outside the club can also see that things are not briliant under the new owners.

My lack of confidence in Venkys and Kean remains - still awaiting to be proved wrong though.

Of course some on here woll just cal it media title tattle, the hate Rovers campaign. Yet posy links to transfer speculation involving Rovers.

Message to Venkys - time to sort yourselves out.

another terrible article.. with the sole aim of critising our owners.

the owners deserve written apologies following last weekends load of ###### articles.

whatever rovers do they will never get a decent press.. been that way for years... but this article really takes the ######!

Matter of opinion the article being terrible. I think it sums up the past few months at Rovers with the owners, very well. Agreed sometimes Rovers get bad press, but also press that is sometimes right. In my opinon this time, the article sums things up well.

Just read that article and it comes accross as how dare little Blackburn Rovers try and take on the Giant Manchester United has she seen the contract does she know what the release clause terminology is. If the release clause is just straight 16 million or 16.5 million how have we managed to get it up to 20m with add ons. it is again just another example of the press wanting to stick the boot in. Nicko you have my permisision to give this person a slap from me mind you then again just a typical woman what does she know about football (that part is a joke before i get shouted at mum)

Well PAFELL Annie Eaves (the author) certainly has been involved in some hard hitting journalism. Here is a selection of her articles:

"My five point plan to make Manchester more like Argentina to keep Carlos Tevez happy"

"The secret diary of Harry Redknapp aged 64 and three quarters"

"The secret diary of Arsene Wenger, aged 61 and three quarters"

"The secret diary of John Terry's armband"

"The secret diary of Fernando Torres, aged 26 and three quarters"

You should be aware that all of the above articles are all fantasy (her articles contain NO FACTS), but that's not to say her most recent article hasn't been fully researched or that she doesnt have our interests at heart.

lol

The article is not just about the PJ transfer - but the ownership of Rovers by the current owners.

It does Pafell.

The impression I get, is that Venky's inserted the release clause at £16.5m - and when Liverpool came in with a bid of £22m, they got edgy about it.

Personally, I couldn't see too much wrong with the article. Football is a game of opinions and many of the views expressed in the article are similar to views expressed by many Rovers fans themselves. I think we can sometimes be over protective of the club. I've read a number of very positive articles about the club over the years as well as negative. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what people write about the club and the owners. To get good press the owners simply have to ensure they have a manager and team that will do their talking on the pitch. Good results will quickly change perceptions.

Just see it as a challenge zaccaius designed to provoke, the objective has to be to win as many premier league football games as is possible next season and blow opinions like these out of the water which is kind of reflective of some of mine.

Good stuff. It will spur Venky's on hopefully.

Don't waste a slap, Nicko. A boot from your number elevens would be most satisfactory.

It is the PJ transfer that has made her write this cr@p

Well indeed it's very strange that Rovers managed to wring some extra money out of MU... <_< Alleged tapping up? HA!

It appears some on here have eiher decided or genuinely believe that the current owners should be deserving of support and are somehow on the right track.

But lets look at what has happened so far:

After they buy the club they make it clear that they have never been to a football match and know nothing about the club or the town. Did they even know relegation happens in the Premier League? Or did they confuse the EPL to the IPL.

They use advisors who anyone could have told them were greedy and self-serving and would take them to the financial cleaners.

They have the perfect ally to educate and advise them on all aspects of the club and English football but when he offers an opinion he is kicked out as soon as is decent.

They sack a manager who whilst not everyones cup of tea would have certainly led the club to a respectable position for the next couple of seasons at least.

Statements keep coming out of Pune that are frankly embarrassing, so over-optimistic are they.

They employ a manager who would not get a similar job in the top 2 divisions, firstly on a caretaker basis, then despite a poor start on a lengthy contract. He obviously is devious and cunning enough to tell Venkys what they want to hear and they believe him.

Then in the January window the bulk of our budget is spent on SEM players who we hardly ever see before the season ends. J Jones apart the window could not have worked out worse.

Then we have the disgrace of Andersons son joining the club (which was my personal last straw).

They then boot out Tom Finn and leave the club without a leader.

Then we are linked with another bunch of South Americans and dodgy eastern Europeans.

After that the Phil Jones farce.

The players obviously either don't like or don't rate the manager and I give them great credit for their professionalism in getting their act together in the last few games to creep us into safety, reverting largely to tactics Sam would have employed. Kean obviously knows he doesn't have many allies in the squad and i'm sure would be more than happy to move some on and bring in the Kentaro brigade.

Venkys clearly haven't got a clue what they are doing with OUR club.

After 36 years as a season ticket holder I don't know whether I will be at Ewood in 11/12 or not, but I will certainly not be giving any support to Kean and Venky's. Quite the opposite.

Those whose opinion is that we should ignore all the above and turn up as we always do without voicing our concerns are frankly not helping the club in the long term.

And as for sniping at sports journo's (who you can see from previous posts I have no respect for at all) who dare to be critical, I think if they really knew what was going on at Ewood even they would find it incredible.

I can't be bothered to read the 200 odd pages of transfer talk as no doubt we will end up with whoever Anderson wants us to have. Who else is going to select targets, Kean? Venky's? I don' think so.

Message to Venkys: Sell up and go back to Pune.

Thank-you.

I like Venkys, getting rid of big sam was a mistake but the only other thing they have been guilty of is being over ambitious. Finally we have money to spend there backing the new manager who I am starting to feel could come good and we might actualy see all of the money from player sales :o

Have to say that was remarkably quickly researched and posted.

Bit smelly to me,
