I've found it a bit worrying that so many posters didn't get jim's new 'ironic' persona.

I have to admit that the change from perceptive Venkysceptic to sycophantic Venkyphile as unquestioning as one of the Stepford Wives was so drastic that I was concerned that Jim had been replaced by an imposter like something from The Invasion of the Bodysnatchers.

Hey there Venkeys peeps (see what I did there, play on word of people and kinda like the sound a chicken makes?) hows it going?

Just wanted to drop you a line to give you the man on the street kind of feel to whats been going down around here lately, could be a woman on the street view too, I don't know really as I do not have breasts. Anyway, it seems that you have been going around this whole owning a football club thing all wrong, like you are kind of winging it as you go in regards to staff, players - you know, all those things that make a football club run. This is a real football club, not one with players that are made of plastic and have a convex bobble of plastic on their feet, nor is it a video game where you can just turn it off when the score utterly sucks. This is real life and real people. There are a vast amount of people whom to which Blackburn Rovers football club mean a very great deal, when it is something that you ask your wife to be quiet whilst you listen to - then you know it is important because the attitude and coldness that you will recieve in return takes days to deice.

Lets look at what we have done together in the time that you have owned the club.

1st you took over stating that it is a well run club and that the staff would not be altered. I personally was delighted to hear this as we had been pretty stable due in no small part to the manager, chairman and the coaching staff. We had subsisted on scraps from the trust for a few years and we always seemed to be able to do a pretty good job of staying competitive, with the exception being the Ince debacle (do you know Ince? The manager that is just marginally worse that the one we have now?) Needless to say I thought that the prospects would be great, having a little extra transfer kitty and a good backroom staff. I thought that we could go places. We even started off pretty well with some good results and the annual spanking by Utd. Then blamo, out of frickin nowhere Sam is sacked. I felt that the ground had been pulled from out beneath me. I scratched my head, I was so bemused that I actually queried my cat about the matter as maybe in all the insane, inane, absolutely, whiplash, snap judgments of all time, maybe a cat could give me a decent answer, as I, like the rest of the footballing world was completely shocked and numbed at such a monumental step to take with no real successor named. Now I know what you are thinking, "We knew that we would appoint Kean from the get go," and that is all well and good, we are not there yet. The sacking of Sam, for whatever reason, fate, karma, or a very bad hair day, was tolerable... just. What really grinds my gears was when Kean was appointed as interim manager WE ACTUALLY BELIVED THAT IT WOULD BE INTERIM, NOT FOREVER. You may wonder why I say forever, that is because it feels like forever. If you ask me what hell is, it is stuck in a room tied to a chair watching a video of Kean on the sideline, on repeat, forever. Hes like that black raven to me, standing on a bust, stalking back and forth, squawking "Evermore, evermore, evermore," and there is no Lenore here, just more and more and more of Kean, forever, saying evermore nonsense about Champions League football... evermore.

You then stated the he, Kean the interim manager, would be manager until we found a good replacement for Sam. "Good," I said, "That's not a bad thing. This Kean aint so bad, he tries, but he is as raw as a steak on a cows ass. I can hang with this until we get a good manager." HE IS STILL HERE, still talking about Europe and God knows what to you. He seems to me like a doll, that has had its crazy red hair burnt off in a fire, that you pull a string and he chatters inanely "Europe in 4 years. Hidelyho."

Then you said that he would have till the end of the season... Prozac. Lithium. A general haze, a ships smoke on the horizon, waves of sensation that I could not feel.

Falling out of my bed one morning, and blindly grasping for my cell phone, I saw that he had been appointed manager and given a contract. The rest is dark for about a week or so, but when I awoke to a nasty hangover and a rather large alcohol bill, I realized that it wasn't some alcohol D.T. driven trip, but reality. It made me sad.

Then Mr. Williams left...

I just cant go on with this at the moment, I need a Kleenex, and some pills.

I'll get back to you.

*sob*

Forget all I said, we are possibly signing Axel Witsel now. That lead singer from Guns N Roses, right?

I am no longer depressed, I love you all.

You said all that on a wing and a prayer.

Message to venkys.

Please sell the club and go back to the chicken industry.

But if you are staying. Then give us reasons to have confidence in you. Because even from those who are willing to wait and see what you do. Their confidence is also being eroded.

The lack of any info coming out of the the club is so frustrating. There again seems to be a clear lack of communication between the Venky's -- Fans/Media.I was hoping we would have seen a clear improvement on the PR side of the club but nothing seems to have moved on for the better.

I may be wrong but since that cup final at Molineux I cant remember a single comment or quote from Venky's?

There just appears to be no clear direction from our leaders...the headless Chickens are still here in full effect.

Wonder if the plans are still active to open the Venkys XPRS store(s) in London and provisionally they planned for one at Ewood Park....?

They have lost the chance of first mover advantage on fast food grilled chicken if they do.

Completely agree with you Doogs.

That leaves us with what exactly Phillip? The Ali Syed's of the world who you were endorsing?

Give them til the 1st September and we'll all be in a better place to judge.

Dear Mrs Desai

I am reading with some dismay of the alleged horror and shambles that is Blackburn Rovers transfer committee. Whilst I am not one to listen to rumours, I would say that if this is indeed the case could you please appoint a strong committee leader who has the final say and gets on with the job.

I am fearful that we will end up with either no signings of note or signings who will not benefit the team as a whole and I am sure you will agree that we must take care that those we do sign should not bear any relation to or are signed purely because they have links to and/or benefit members of the committee. The Premier League takes a dim view of such signings.

There are two whole months until the end of the transfer window, I trust they will be used wisely. You will understand the anxiety of the fans at this time I am sure, as the Premier League is ever more demanding and strengthening our squad is imperative.

My husband and I are going to Hong Kong to see Blackurn Rovers play in the Asia Trophy, and we feel it is imperative that the team give a good showing in this contest, both for the fans who travel (at some expense I must add) and the wider world of the television audience. A fresh face or two could be vital to the cause.

Thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely

etc.

I just cant go on with this at the moment, I need a Kleenex, and some pills.

If your gonna take blue pills it's best not to be on your own or you'll go through £20 quids worth of Kleenex in a day...trust me!

Go Venkys go. Leave us be.

They are out of their depth in running a football club. They are at the mercy of merciless football agents who are only interested in making money for themselves.

When will Venkys realise they are not wanted at Rovers. I hope they go and ruin their chicken business and not the football club. They are, in my view, an embarrassment to football. I have waited for them to give me confidence in them. They haven't done so as of yet.

I believe there is a thread somewhere on this board where you haven't posted that you want Venky's out. By all means have a PoV but repeating it endlessly does not make it more likely to happen. Ironically, this is the one thread where it fits!

Maybe it is time others also started posting our concerns about the way the club is run. Hopefully venkys will read it and then either sort themselves out or go. I have for awhile been more than willing for venkys to give me confidence in them. Sadly they haven't. If I and others feel there is reason for us to have to repeat our concerns, then so be it.
