[Archived] MESSAGE TO VENKYS

Recommended Posts

It is way past time for Venkys to engage with the fans and remember that communication is a two-way process. They'd learn more in an evening meeting in a fans forum than they'll ever get from Anderson or Kean for that matter.

I do not think their culture allows for such things. They are the boss and they are not open to question type attitude.

Both Venkys and Kean should heed this warning and remember it for the future, 'You never get a second chance to make a first impression'

It will take a real effort, culture or no culture for Venkys to right what they have done wrong at Ewood, thats if they will ever be able to put things right again!

don't believe that in football, fans have no memory at all, its all about winning and the moment.

If we sign a couple of great players and start wining all will be forgotten, if we flop we will be just like asny other fans.

I agree with Venky judge them in a year.

I wonder if they are thinking to themselves that this Kentaro have consulted them poorly? They obviously thought that this football business would have been far easier than this. If we stay up, they need to get rid of this crowd of shcisters and that crook Anderson and get John Williams back on board. Can you imagine what it would be like if they attended a fans forum?! They would learn / be told all they needed to know and do to get this club back on track. It would be the smartest thing they could ever do and be far cheaper than what Kentaro are probably charging them.

But still their way of doing business. Would be hard for them to change the way they have done business all their lives.

But they SHOULD change the way the do business if they are buying into a company which has it's own culture (paticularly where that culture is within a foreign country).

If a foreign owner bought any other British business wouldn't they have to understand and work with the indigenous customer base - including the cultural aspect? They wouldn't say, this is what our Indian (or whereverian) customers expect so this is how we'll treat this lot. To not give customers what they want must be not only naive but commercially suicidal, surely?

But then again, I forget, presumably all Venkys care about selling is chicken and pharmaceuticals...

Perhaps ask the 1,000s who deserted Burnley FC after selling Jimmy Mclroy or the 1,000s Rovers lost with the ticket debacle of the 1960s FA Cup Final!!

As for judging Venkys after a year? they have four months left to get us back to where we were before they took control, we have flopped already, have a dud as a manager, poor advisors and inexperienced owners!

Fair points. They would have to abide by the laws of the land. Yet could still retain their culture way of doing things. For example, they may say it is our club, our money and we will do with the club what ever we want. If customers like it (fans) great, if not, there will be other customers eventually. Therefore no matter what the customers say, feel, as the owners they may have the attitude of 'how dare they tell us how to run our club'. They will see the club as theirs as they bought it. Fans see the club as theirs because they support it. Which is where culture differences may differ. Not sure if culture is the right description - but they could still have the attitude I described.

End of the day, if they see themselves as astute business people they should have realised from day one that this is nothing like any business they had owned before and should have listened and learned from day one.

Instead they have shown breathtaking arrogance.

I have never heard of any of them events, do 99.9% of the football population really care anymore, does it make a difference?

Can only live in the moment in football and thoughs who don't are alone.

You swallowed the Oxford Book of Quotations chris? :P

The 1960 cup final ticket debacle was before my time, but my dear owd grandad never forgot it, we lost thousands of fans, many of who never came to Ewood again.

Venky’s obviously have their football advisers (SEM/Kentaro) who provide them advice/guidance on football matters – however so far it appears the guidance they have received has been pretty awful. Considering Venky’s don’t understand football, or how to run a football club, they need advisers as clearly have limited knowledge.

As SEM/Kentaro have been involved with them for a period of time (pre takeover they assisted them with sponsorship events in Asia), plus one of Rao’s stated JA was like family to them you would think it is very unlikely that they would ditch them.

In one of her notorious interviews, Mrs D mentioned they have other advisers too, is anyone aware who this is?

I think I mentioned previously, we need to judge them after the summer, you never know they may well surprise us all and pump 10m into the club which would make a big difference, then again they may not. I was happy with the business conducted in January, certainly wouldn’t have happened under the previous owners, so its wait and see for me.

So much cr@p has been reported and written about Venkys, we need to sit tight and see what happens, they're not stupid people, the bank balanace tells us that and hopefully we'll have an exciting summer on the transfer/manager front.

Anderson isn't going anywhere IMO, he has Venkys eating out of his hand, and I believe it is he who is in complete control, and will remain there for some time. Therefore it is illogical to think that Kean will get sacked when he is Andersons client, and so keeping him in a top job on a managers salary will be main priority. Jensen will not leave either, obviously for the same reason.

The biggest mistake Venkys made was to be naive enough to trust that fork tongued schemer rather than people who knew what was best for our football club. Football agents are only ever out for themselves.

Just like them United fans that didn't like the Glazers first impression at Man United and started up their own football team, that really worked out well for them, Alex Ferguson really cares what happened to them when he's picking up his third Champion League medal lol

I'm going to change nobody has a short memory to the majority of people have short memories.

no ones going to argue with that and the majority rule.

Venky's have been at Ewood and Brockhall today, highly likely to be at West Ham game.

Not before time imo. The owners turn up just as we are getting to safety. Where have they been? didn't want to show their faces incase of a backlash from the fans.

Kamy, what have they been doing at Ewood and Brockhall?

meeting Kean and Tom Finn?

meeting Rafa maybe?
