Just be down at rovers club shop at Ewood Park renewing my Season Ticket for next season and I asked when are the new shirts going to be out. He said they have not be told yet but they except the away shirt will be out shortly and the home shirt will follow.

I do not know why this is taking so long to sort out tbh!!!

I have email rovers a couple of times and got no reply from them!

We've been saying it for years, we miss out on shirt sales I'm sure by missing the summer holiday trade, how hard can it be to release the new home short before the kids break up for the July holidays?

I understand we're having sponsorship issues this time around, but it always been the same, sort it out for goodness sake.

Chaddy, it's just sorting and finalising the sponsor, unless it's absolutely essential they wont release the shirt without a sponsor although WBA and others have in the past.

I imagine as soon as the sponsor is all sorted the deal will be announced along with the owners holding a new shirt with representatives from the new sponsors.

GAV - Whilst I agree, it does make sense to cash in on the summer holidays by releasing the away shirt before them and then releasing the home one later as the home one will sell anyway

No idea mate I am no wiser than anyone on it as I have no inside contacts. You have to think they will be far down the line with a sponsor.

It would be beneficial for everyone to have it all sorted by the time we play live on TV accross the world in the Asia Cup.

What concerns me slightly is that the shirts will be ready now awaiting the sponsors logo which makes you think that it will be a cheap sticker type sponser, I always liked the Time one when it was printed into the material.

Well if it going to be sorted by the PL Asia Tournament, then they might as well leave the players shirts there. Saves sending them to England on a plane from China than us taking them back on a plane to Hong Kong!

There's no way that fans shirts will have arrived by then because the shipping normally takes 6 weeks. Thinking about it (and this would be some serious thinking on the part of the Rovers shop!!!) if it is sorted they should sell them in HK for people who are going there :D

6 weeks shipping means they'll be touch and go to be here before the season starts. Could be a mad dash mid August - too late for my hols anyway.

Hope it's worth the wait!

Clare, are we sure the shirts are still overseas?

I wondered if it could be possible they were closer to home awaiting the sponsors to be sorted.

Perish the thought someone might have to take a bit of initiative. Went looking for some bright Rovers T-shirts to take to Hong Kong - no chance! Few left in xl sizes from the bright coloured ones, the rest are dull navy, grey, dark green, etc. Wish the shop would get some stuff in for 'real' ladies as well as the few tiny t-shirts they produce in pink etc. The replica shirts don't fit too well either and there aren't any blue/white available in medium and large sizes in any of the designs in any case. Oh well, the old bet 24 one I have will have to do ... GGGGGGGRRRRRRR

i'm sure the club have flown them over in the past when productions been late but i could be wrong,i take it the 6 week timescale would be on a container ship?

The club already have some at the club shop (not on sale) - so not sure if they have had them all delivered and are simply passing to a local firm to add the sponsor?

It would be too late for anything else this season sadly

Its what they would call negligent(sp) our sponsorship with Crown had ended weeks and weeks and weeks ago. This should have been sorted, and its kind of disappointing.

Don't worry. The new shirt sponsor is going to be Lees Chippy from Cherry Tree, Blackburn. The players numbers will relate to order numbers from Lees menu; for example:

David Dunn will wear shirt # 67 which is "Deep Fried Chicken with Fried Noodles".

Robbo will have #1 which is "Large Chips"

Keith Andrews will have #99 which is a "Buttered Barn Cake"

and Roberts will have #47 which is "Squid with Black Bean Sauce - not too spicey".

All to be announced at lunchtime opening today.

You read it here first thanks to an inside sauce.

haha just reading this and gotta say it made me laugh pretty hard

with Finn gone, do they even remember that we don't have a sponsor? lol

Good point

Have to say if Togeir's picture is the official shirt, and not a design released to con the forgers, I am not keen on it. In fact I'd even prefer Newcastle's custard cream shirt from a year or two ago!

Oh, that post has gone all of a sudden.
