cruz
I was always under the impression that all the past sponsor logos have been ironed on?? However £43 for something that cost £5 at the most has priced me out even though with it being blank it has a infinite lifespan. £25 or £30 and I would seriously consider it. Sadly next summers 'sale' shirts will have the princes trust logo on

Gumbi
£43 still makes it cheaper than most other clubs.
Herbie6590
Im sure we used to play in non-reversed halves?? Im pretty sure there are shots of Rovers playing with the halves as they are in the current shirt, thats why its 'retro'. Not in my lifetime (40+ years) , but cannot say it's never happened...guess you can get used to it but personal preference is for a one season wonder (like black numbers !!!) ...yup I'm a fuddy duddy.... Anti-Dingle-Brigade
Last time it changed was in the 1940's it seems. Can't be totally sure as the site has this years halves wrong for a start but oh well. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Blackburn_Rovers/Blackburn_Rovers.htm

I thought the same MMLP, but I've been through ever related image I can find on google images as well as two different editions of the Mike Jackman encyclopaedia and random other associated Rovers books (and of course our own histroy section that FourLaneBlue and Clare did) and whilst I've found some references (but no photos) to us playing in Bristol Rovers style quarters very briefly in the 60s and lots of unusual colours in the early days, much as with the corner flags rumour, I can find nothing to back up my own "reversed halves" belief. 'Corner flags rumour' - is that where we're allowed our club logos on our corner flags for winning the FA Cup 3 times or something? I believe I've heard something about that ages ago but I can't really remember exactly what it was.. just twigged in my memory when you said that. Or am I just completely wrong? XLM
I think it's because we won it three years in a row? It's a myth. I've seen badges on quite a few corner flags at other clubs.
Roverdale
It's a myth. I've seen badges on quite a few corner flags at other clubs. Yeah I remember hearing it then looking at all the other grounds on MOTD etc and thinking it must be a load of old bull. Perhaps it was true at one point in time then they scrapped it? Or is it just completely a myth. Sorry I know it's off topic.. just curious
Glenn
Certainly the FA these days believe it's a myth. Several of us nice letters saying so
socngill
My initial thought was "fantastic, I'll have one of those!" to "how much? Jog on!" Far to expensive.

(If I'm wrong and have misread somewhere - apologies!) £43 is fair enough - we already get cheap season tickets, and there has just been 50% off loads of the stuff in the club shop. Hardly out of line with other clubs shirt prices either.

Backroom Madon Posted August 11, 2011 Backroom Share Posted August 11, 2011 Does anybody know if the shirt will be available to purchase in shops such as JJB on saturday? I'm at work until 2 so it's going to be touch and go getting to the ground in time for kick off, was thinking I could pick one up on my lunch break. Several of us nice letters saying so I took the matter up with the FA a couple of years ago and apparently it is a myth. At least they bothered replying to me though I suppose. Glenn
Anybody know when the shirts will be available online as unfortunately I will be in Hereford tomorrow, bloody work fixture clashes. We expect to be selling them through Kitbag again (last year we managed to undercut the official club shop for a while), but my Affiliate Manager at Kitbag hasn't got back to me on when they'll be selling them. ... and just as I post that he replies saying they should be doing pre-orders from tomorrow.
