Stuart Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 We always struggle with this - since Tugay retired. Possibly Hoilett v Liverpool. Didn't we have a goal featured on a MOTD goal of the month comp recently though? EDIT. Any chance of listing the nominees for those who don't have RoversPlayer, Wilky?
Wilky Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 they should provide a video of each goal on the site so we can make a proper informative decisiion
Backroom Tom Posted April 22, 2011 Backroom Posted April 22, 2011 Hoilett v baggies for me from another non vintage year Benjani v Liverpool is the only other worthy candidate
duffbear Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Either Hoilets goal against Liverpool or Kalnic's against West Brom
Dan Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Can't remember any truly outstanding goals this season. When we had Bentley and Tugay in the team we used to be spoilt for choice! Anyway, IF we stay up then the goal that wins us a game or gets us the draw that keeps us up will be the goal of the season
cn174 Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 It's quite difficult to think of 10 goals full stop, let alone 10 good ones! But probably Benjani's for me.
LeChuck Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Possibly Hoilett v Liverpool. Either Hoilets goal against Liverpool Has Hoilett scored against Liverpool this season?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I'm voting whoever scores the 30 yard screamer into the top corner of the net in the 90th minute to bag all 3 points against Manchester City on Monday.
Amo Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I'm voting whoever scores the 30 yard screamer into the top corner of the net in the 90th minute to bag all 3 points against Manchester City on Monday. Sooooo.... Andrews?
Backroom Tom Posted April 23, 2011 Backroom Posted April 23, 2011 I'm predicting our best goal comes from Rochina either on Monday or Vs Bolton similar to how Nzonzi scored that belter V everton last season.
dazmaz Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Junior vs West Brom Pedersen Vs Wigan Benjani Vs liverpool
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Sooooo.... Andrews? Even if Andrews scored to keep us up, I think he would still get booed.
Hughesy Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Hoilett v West Brom, burst past 2 before smashing a swerving shot into the centre of the net!
Steve Moss Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Even if Andrews scored to keep us up, I think he would still get booed. I don't think so. It may actually be his moment of redemption.
Wilky Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 It's quite difficult to think of 10 goals full stop, let alone 10 good ones! But probably Benjani's for me. i'm struggleing at a good one... can think of plenty of tap ins or just plain ole @#/? goals... but one worthy of "goal of the season" award....
Stuart Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Has Hoilett scored against Liverpool this season? Possibly not then. Who did Niko chest the ball to for the nice finish against Liverpool?
LeChuck Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I don't think Kalinic played against Liverpool, Diouf and Benjani started that one. I think you're thinking of the West Brom game - Kalinic chested the ball to Hoilett who the scored from outside the area.
Stuart Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 That's the one then. Can't believe I mixed up our only two home victories under Kean! I should even know stats like number of throw-ins for those!!
RIML Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Charlie Adam at Bloomfield Road Nelsen's against West Ham ha ha I remember Lawro slating his technique on MOTD. Tamas' own goal was a good header too. On a serious note I'd probably go for Hoilett's against West Brom, I didn't have a clue who'd scored but it started off a decent second half atmosphere in the Darwen End and that's a good enough reason for me.
