I doubt we’d have had the same disconcerting voices had we signed Sturridge on loan for 90k a week, then you’d not have been bothered where the money came from

People still wouldve been concerned about where the money was coming from. Pompey signed some quality but it didn't change the fact those signings plunged them into a load of debt.

However, if we'd signed Sturridge chances are he wouldve scored the goals to have us clear of trouble. Right now fans are doubly worried because going down will be enough of a financial strain, so if the likes of RSC are Pompey style signings then we'll be in double trouble. No evidence to suggest he is or he isn't right now but as den said we need to give that one time.
