Kean's relentless positivity or Venky's blissful ignorance

I shall remember this. Spot on. :P

Could be a blessing in disguise.

I think the story about Hoilett being out is a load of tosh.

Therefore, put up a story before the game saying he's out and then watch Bolton systematically sh!t their pants as his name is announced on the team sheet before kick off on Saturday.

If only Kean were that Machiavellian.

Kalinic is our top scorer and can create a moment of magic when needed.

Quick, let's get him a magic feather.

Im actually happy this one isn't on in the states, . . .

You can get it stateside on fox socer online.

Since there was no preview for the Bolton game, I offered to throw one together . . .

Why I decided to step in and do this preview is two-fold, firstly I enjoying doing them, and in turn hope you like reading them, but secondly I’m rather superstitious and I’m sure you are too, and in the six previous previews I have done we are undefeated.

So far as I am concerned Rog, you should be elected Mayor of Blackburn. Not only are you a class act, you've also a bit of luck which is far more important. :tu:

Just don't let Emerton take the free kicks and corners ffs

Agreed. I think we should let Salgado take them. At least he'll get the basics right.

Tickets look like they're selling well. How many tickets have Bolton got? The online site says that the Darwen End is sold out, have we sold out the whole of the bottom, or is it half and half?

Only around 1,600 tickets left in home area's.

Bolton have part of the lower aswell as the upper but have only sold around 3,500 so far with tickets available to both sets of supporters on the day.

Attendance should be around 28k with walk-on's.

Amazed to see some people would drop Benjani after being out best player going forward on Monday.

I'd have him up top in front of rochina with nzonzi and jones behind and ideally hoilett and olsson on the wings.

Robbo

Salgado jones samba givet

Hoilett nzonzi jones olsson

Rochina

Benjani

Agreed. I think that picks itself, based on other players lack of fitness (Roque), ability (Roberts, Andrews), endurance (Dunn), confidence (Niko) and committment (MGP). Would play in a 4-2-3-1 for me.

Yeah that's what I was thinking although it's hard to lay it out on here.

Benjanis strength is bringing the ball down and bringing others into play and with those 3 options pressing forward it could be deadly

That's definitely the team to go with TCO. You look at that team and wonder why its down there. Obviously, we all know that one. If that team was together on a regular basis, we'd be in a better place. I also think its a good shout to give Salgado the free kicks. On paper, that team is pretty darn good. I love that team. If I could be any team, I'd be that team. GO TEAM!

Bolton's away form is poor but so was Man City's until we obligingly handed them their first away win for months.

The players will have to take the initiative because it's patently obvious they have no faith in the manager.

If Hoilett plays we might scrape a 1-1 at best.

Without him 1-0 Bolton.

Why anyone would want to involve young Rochina in this relegation scrap is beyond me. The guy's shown nothing but a few good touches to suggest he can do anything in these games (other than give the ball away at key moments). He's got bags of potential but he's just not what we need right now. Agree totally about Benjani though, if he can stop falling over he makes good runs and can keep defenders occupied more than our other strikers.

I don't know what's going on with MGP. I'd still put him in as part of a 3 man midfield as he's always managed to come good at key moments during his patchy Rovers career. We're so bad at set pieces at the moment I just feel he has to be involved.

Hoilett and Olssen playing off the front man no doubt. For some reason Olssen appears more comfortable in a front 3 or a back 4 than he does in midfield. His inability to cross probably comes into it.

I don't want to predict but as the game's got closer I've got more confident we're going to win. It's such a big game though, if we don't, then I think we're doomed.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

Yes, it's the latest "most important game in years" this season, all right. Only three more to go after tomorrow!

Because Bolton don't have a lot to play for [other than pride after losing to Fulham], if the lads play like they did after the first 15 - 20 minutes on Monday, I think we can win.

If my name were Steve Kean [fortunately for me, it isn't - I wouldn't be able to cope with the popularity! ;) ], the team I'd send out to do the business [with one or other of the Jones boys detailed to spend the entire game so close to Sturridge that, in other circumstances, rumours might start!] is:

Robinson;

Salgado, Samba, Givet, Olsson;

Pedersen, J. Jones, P. Jones, Hoilett;

Benjani, Kalinic.

Subs: Bunn; Hanley, Emerton, Nzonzi, Rochina, Roberts, Diouf.

Unfortunately, the fact that my name isn't Steve Kean almost certainly means that team won't start. :( But, hey; isn't that what threads like this are all about?

Amended it for you.

So the City defeat had nothing to do with the lack of chances created by our side?

Or the poor substitutions made by 'the thinker'?

Or Phil Jones' awful clearance, literally right to Dzeko's feet?

I could go on,

Really don't buy this 'let's blame the referee for our own shortcomings' business.

Great preview Rog, but bad place to put the interview on the W**** Wanderers forum. Been on that site a few times, most of them knuckle-draggers haven't got a braincell to share between the lot of them.

Why's that? Did they not make you feel welcome?

Ah, the new most important game in years. The longer we go without a win the longer this will be relevant for every game. However, on the face of it this is our last 'winnable' home game. In previous 'winnable' home games we have only drawn at best, which simply hasnt been good enough given that we have a better squad than some of these sides, Bolton excluded.

Robinson

Salgado Samba Jones Givet

Emerton N'Zonzi J.Jones Olsson

Benjani Kalinic

Kalinic was poor when he came on against City, but we need to give him a run now. I also agree with the above post that Rochina has great potential, but to start him in a massive game like this may be too much of a risk, I would love to be proved wrong, as I think he looks like he could develop into a very good player.

Not at all, i've got better things to do than troll on a rival teams forum, if i was sad enough i'd go on the website of one of our actual rivals, not some plastic manc team that no-one here gives two hoots about.

Why's it a bad place? because the posters on there come across as being 12 year old chavs.

From the Riverside stand.......

Tomorrows game carries the weight of history of our club from over the past twenty years on it.

Let that history be maintained in a positive light, with we, the fans, carrying the weak amongst us by roaring us onto victory tomorrow.

Lets do it together!

After a feel good day watching the royal wedding I feel optimistic.

2-0 Rovers Jermaine Jones and Benjani with the goals, just imagine the relief all round if we do pull off a win.

Gotta love that post JAL.

If there are 'supporters' around you who are quiet and or moping about, show them how it's done and roar the boys on!

Robinson

Salgado Samba Jones Givet

Hoilett J.Jones Nzonzi Olsson

Kalinic Benjani

That's my choice of team.

My only worry would be Salgado hasn't got Emerton in front of him to do his usual excellent covering job.

Rochina may be talented but his overall physical performance has yet to be developed. He's not ready to start in a relegation scrap.

Roberts, definitely on the bench to come on as super-sub.

IMO this will be the best Wanderers side we have played for a long, long time. So, it's up to our lads to perform at their best.

Good luck, boys. You'll need it. And hopefully a competent, sensible referee (No Attwell please)
