sijoco Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I notice our good friend and everyone's favourite pariah Vinjay has posted on RoversMad under a pseudonym as regards the PJ transfer. Mods - batten down the hatches, it's only a matter of time

roversmum Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 It's okay, john-rover, my comment wasn't aimed at you I understood what you were saying. Just trying hard to bite my tongue and say not something I might regret!!!
robbojohnno Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 His missus left her long-term boyfriend at the drop of a hat for Phil once he got his big break through at Rovers alledgedly. Loyalty appears to be something neither of them have.
robbojohnno Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I haven't the foggiest on his name, my brothers missus is mates with her and I remember him mentioning it near the time. Wouldn't be surprised if shes been in his ear about a move.
JAL Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 It was posted on this thread earlier Phil Jones had fallen out with or been humiliated by Steve Kean. I'm not able to say how I know but I believe this to be incorrect. My understanding from a very good source, outside of the club, is Phil was very happy with Allardyce for giving him his first chance and got on well with Steve Kean. If your right Paul then young Phil has been telling porkies. Who's saying Jones got on well with Kean from your end Paul. Hearing this was all done, or began a good three weeks ago, when the expressed interest began.
beerwins Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Looks like Phil's girlfriend is getting all sorts of abuse on twitter from not only Rovers fans but Liverpool ones. Don't see the point really. When you make statements for the world to read you can expect reaction to them good or bad, thats Twitter. I have no symapthy for anyone who wants to dictate their life for others to read. You reap what you sow.
Blue+whitepussface Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 16 mil and Berbatov that would do nicely
yankrover Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 16 mil and Berbatov that would do nicely . I could live with that deal
Rover Down Under Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I know of this young woman too, though not personally. Young woman? That will change, Man U players prefer grannies don't they? She will get dumped soon enough, after Phil has tried some Manchester Tart, then she will be all over the internet slagging him off and revealing that he only moved because she told him to.
rebelmswar Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 She will get dumped soon enough, after Phil has tried some Manchester Tart Sour and lumpy is it not?
slough_rover Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 He'll be having a go at Gigg's sister-in-law before you know it.
John Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Phil Mcnulty saying too late for Venky's to do anything about it - says Man Utd got a cracking deal on the price.
Majiball Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Phil Mcnulty saying too late for Venky's to do anything about it - says Man Utd got a cracking deal on the price. What can Rovers do? 16M release clause has to be honored. So no Samba, no Jones and donkey in charge pretending to be a puppet and his master in the background pulling the strings.? Doctor Who if your reading this get in the tardis and sort this all out as I've never been so depressed on holiday before.
John Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Rovers can't do anything sadly with release clauses - however in this day of grossly over inflated prices for English players, £16 million seems a good price for the buying club. The fact we had a number of clubs interested in Jones too meant the selling price could have been maximised further.

I am absolutely livid about all of this, Venky's, Jerome, Kean et al should all be hung drawn and quartered, they clearly have no clue what they are doing and Rovers will suffer massively for all of this. Are the rumors Kean fell out with Jones true? As I wonder whether the kids feel he's the man to develop them????
Ricky Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Wouldnt JW still have been there when the contract was written up or had he gone by then?
imy9 Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Don't know about Jones but JW sorted out Samba's contract- big man said so himself.
John Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Not sure who agreed or who was involved in the release clause. The fact Venky's apparently believe he is valued more than £16 million backs up the view that it is a good price for any buying club (in this case Man Utd).
T.J.Newton Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 whoever inserted the clause into the contract last febuary should be fired and if the anderson mafia had anything to do with drawing up that contract extension then surley that should just prove that anderson/kentaro do not have the clubs best interest at heart. im embarssed to be a blackburn fan(and ive nevere felt this way before, even when we was relegated), we genuinly have become the new newcastle(laughing stock of prem league), the owners need to get over here on a more permanet basis and sort this mess out and also show the fans they actually do know how too run a buisness. and also does everybody at blackburn seem to think the fans arnt worth speaking too anymore, not 1 official statment since this started on monday morning after it was 1st reported about the 16mill cluse.
Dave S Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I don't want to be a prophet of doom. But, what happens to this deal if Jones gets injured in the U21 game? Will he have to come back to Rovers as we haven't released his registration or will his 'people' insist on ManU honouring the contract he has signed?

Excellent point, was going to ask the same thing myself. Will he be allowed to play, I wonder?
philipl Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Wouldnt JW still have been there when the contract was written up or had he gone by then? JW got eviscerated by Venky's for opposing them on the sacking of Allardyce. He had in effect lost control over decisions from that point on. New contracts with pay rises were being handed out like sweets by Kean/Venky's in February with the exception of Hoilett and Kalinic.

It is being reported that Jones already had a release clause in his previous contract for a far lower amount. It isn't so long ago that we had to let an in form Bellamy leave for £6m - so this isn't the first time Rovers have fallen fowl (no pun intended) of clauses. I think people should lay (oh no - another potential pun) off the Venky's and their advisors until the truth is fully known. One interesting aspect - if United were whiter than white and totally in the right - why haven't they gone to the media - they aren't usually backward at this type of thing ?
