RibbleValleyRover Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 There is no one so despised as a fallen hero and no one deserves it more than Phil Jones. Calls himself a Rovers supporter and defects to the devil itself. Not often I wish someone would break a leg but............................. A bit OTT Al. There have been plenty of players I have hated over the years but I wouldn't want to see any of them suffer a broken leg.

Al Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 What a horrible, mierable man you are. Tried Google but can't find mierable anywhere. Anti-Dingle-Brigade is very charitable too isn't it?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Wishing a broken leg on anyone, never mind a teenager just starting out, is sickening.
Al Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Wishing a broken leg on anyone, never mind a teenager just starting out, is sickening. He's the worst kind of ungrateful prat but maybe a broken leg is a bit OTT. How about a complete lack of form and relegation to the reserves? EDIT. That would serve tapping up United right too.
Billy Castell Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I'd wish him to become the new David May, but without the chance to somehow blag a winners medal. Yet another youngster who seems to have become a billy big balls the moment he gets tapped up by a top club.

Stuart Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 Now called up to England team. Didn't realise he'd improved so much during pre season...... Did you have a link to this? I can't seem to find his name listed in any squad, e.g.: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/06082011/2/welbeck-england-squad-richards-returns.html http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3378/international-friendlies/2011/08/06/2608295/fabio-capello-names-england-squad-for-netherlands-friendly http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/940710/man-utd%27s-dannny-welbeck-in-england-squad-to-face-netherlands?cc=5739 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14433667.stm Phil Jagielka, yes, Phil Jones, no. Much ado about nothing?
Josh Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I think he was in the provisional 30 but didn't make the cut http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/England-squad-face-Holland-expected-selected-Fabio-Capello-with-eye-on-vital-Bulgaria-Wales-Euro-2012-qualifiers-article781656.html
Torgeir Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Wouldn't mind seeing him falling through before returning ala Colin Hendry. I don't think I've wanted someone to get injured since Keane played, but that was in the heat of the moment kind of thoughts

Seems odd timing for a big deal to be made about his inclusion on the day he's dropped!
Roost Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I thought the provisional squad was announced weeks ago. Seems odd timing for a big deal to be made about his inclusion on the day he's dropped! Maybe some people are runnung out of things to moan about........
Stuart Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 Maybe he's been to the same Billy-Big-Time-Barber as Bentley? I also wonder if PJ's highlights will turn out to be 9 months at Ewood.
Al Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Maybe he's been to the same Billy-Big-Time-Barber as Bentley? I also wonder if PJ's highlights will turn out to be 9 months at Ewood. No Judas collected his first piece of silver medal at Wembley this afternoon.
LeChuck Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 No Judas collected his first piece of silver medal at Wembley this afternoon. Judas? If he'd gone to Burnley, fair enough.
Al Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Judas? If he'd gone to Burnley, fair enough. The scum is worse. The devil incarnate. Most hated team in England.
PAFELL Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 There is no one so despised as a fallen hero and no one deserves it more than Phil Jones. Calls himself a Rovers supporter and defects to the devil itself. Not often I wish someone would break a leg but............................. Pathetic attitude to have. When the offer came in he didn't really have that much of a choice in it. The clause was met.
Stuart Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 No Judas collected his first piece of silver medal at Wembley this afternoon. Indeed. Looks like he's going to be some player. Just a shame that it's only now he's with Them that he'll get the recognition. Pathetic attitude to have. Fair do's PAFELL. Al has retracted his comments (sort of!)
Parsonblue Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Good luck to the lad. Picked up the first of what I suspect will be a number of medals during his career. Football is his chosen profession and he was given the opportunity to play at the top at a very early age. You can't blame him for making the most of his chosen career. As I say, good luck to the lad.

Mattyblue Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 There's no point knocking the bloke, clubs like United are so enormous these days that the trophies are pretty much sewn up. Hate the game, not the player.
Amo Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Pathetic attitude to have. When the offer came in he didn't really have that much of a choice in it. The clause was met. Why? It only gave him permission to speak to United. The choice was up to him. I still think he should have stayed at least a year before moving on, but whatever. That's the nature of the game these days.

Given his chance and coached for years by the team he purports to support and off to the devil incarnate against their expressed wishes at the first opportunity. Ungrateful sod. As someone else said I sincerely hope he becomes the next David May but without the undeserved medals. The least he could have done was to give Rovers a full season.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Good luck to him. Felt the same way about Duff. Hope he does well and gets some silverware. Dont know what the fuss is about United, find it far easier to hate Chelsea and City. Utd aren't our rivals, they're just a bigger club. Wishing someone to break their leg because they play for a different football team is disgusting either way. ######. Its only a football team. Get over it.
