PAFELL Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Green, Jacobsen, Upson, Hitzlsperger, Piquionne, Spector, Ba, Boa Morte, Keane, Bridge, Parker - how on earth are WHam where they are with players like this to call on???? With the exception of the first two all the rest would walk into our first 11. I've pondered on this game long and hard and whichever way I think about it we are going to get humped. If so and this is followed with nothing against ManU (who'll be looking to clinch the title) then the depressive in me sees nothing but a draw at Wolves and a descent into the Championship. Hopefully I'm just having a down-swing bi-polar day. The Donut hasn't got the nous to set this team and strategy up to be effective. Several Hail Marys and a bottle of scotch for me tomorrow, we simply must get something from this game. Bugger it I'm so nervous I'm starting on that bottle right now. A lot could depend on are whu up for it after the comments from their owners. Owners openly preparing for relegation does not build confidence. Wonder if the players above see themselves playing for better teams / clubs. They have been told that if whu are relegated they will get their transfer. Could be a decent payday for them. I hope they have that attitude, so Rovers take advantage of it.
roverwhelmed Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 It's going to be a long afternoon tomorrow. I thought that before the Arsenal and Man City games. I was thinking more like a six goal frenzy then though, in both games - in the first fifteen to twenty minutes at least. We did well at Arsenal and we did well against City (I thought, despite the loss). We just have to hope and pray. Just think, if they do the unimaginable, get a cheeky little win all this stress and trauma will be almost behind us by tomorrow night, what a thought that is
Clitherover Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 God I'd love to relegate West Ham. Absolutely love it. Same here.
PAFELL Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Canning Town is just a 2 mile walk to Upton Park- allow 45 minutes according to Google maps Take Jubilee line all the way to stratford. Then replacement bus to Upton park. My wife are coming up from the south to Victoria, then to westminster (jubilee line) then straight through to stratford on jubilee line. Still trying to remember the pub, I think it is the Duke of Edinbough for away supporters.
American Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 HEEELLLPPPPP!!! Ordered tickets, but there was a cockup and the order was never put through. Anyone have 2 to spare? If anyone is traveling down, we'll swap accommodation in our spare bedroom in South London in exchange for tickets!!
roversmum Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Ah, you're too late for ticket office. Might be worth ringing our ticket office in the morning to see if any spares were sent back, I think someone said a few were returned.
Brfcrule1 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Pafell has a point about their owners about their players not playing to their potential could have a detrimental effect on their team also another daft comment the owners made a few weeks ago about their players should not be taking their wages due to their poor performances also another big point have just heard on SSN they will play Parker if he is only 10% fit which could hand us a massive incentive. Makes you wonder what the porn bros have between the earsI know our owners have not endeared themselves to the fans but would rather have them than owners who come out with comments in public at such a crucial time in the campaign.

Pinch Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 "Blackburn will give late fitness tests to Junior Hoilett, David Dunn and Michel Salgado ahead of the game, and Kean believes at least two of the trio will be available." ~ soccernet.com So which of three is least likely to be fit - Hoilett? Damn it... we need him back.
Backroom Tom Posted May 6, 2011 Backroom Posted May 6, 2011 Nervous already about this, truly I don't expect anything but a loss will hurt and a win would be mammoth

Damn it... we need him back. According to the LT, Salgado is the doubt.

jim mk2 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Setting orf early for the journey dahn sarf....the nerves are jangling already. Never ever seen Rovers gain as much as a point at Upton Park.
Backroom Tom Posted May 6, 2011 Backroom Posted May 6, 2011 Well done to all you fans travelling down there, a credit to the club. I'm working but tomorrow promises to be a stressful day
Mattyblue Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Too right tom, is that 5/6 away games we've sold out this season? not done that for many, many years. great support after ahem a 'challenging' few months.
Exiled_Rover Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Today's LT suggests Salgado is the least likely. Salgado needs to try some stronger beers. Not to worry, Emerton to right back (his second best position behind wing back), Hoilett to right wing. Job done.
Gav Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Setting orf early for the journey dahn sarf....the nerves are jangling already. Never ever seen Rovers gain as much as a point at Upton Park. Can I come with you Jim? the journey down would be legendary I bet we'd not get past the KFC at Salmsbury before you lamped me one
Nafe_rovers Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 have just become incredibly nervous :/... heart says 2-1 but my head say 1-1... anyone know the away pub?
OJRovers Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Yes yet again our fans prove to be some of the best in the country, selling out our recent away games in London and getting behind the team 100% despite being on the worst run for 30 years. There are not many other clubs whose fans would have given the players everything in the same situation. The fans deserve us to stay up (and get a proper manager next season), so hopefully we'll get at least a point and send WHam down in the process!
bigbrandjohn Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Setting orf early for the journey dahn sarf....the nerves are jangling already. Never ever seen Rovers gain as much as a point at Upton Park. Just saw this on a West Ham forum. Safe travels Next we entertain Blackburn Rovers in a 3pm Saturday kick-off at the Boleyn. TfL have helpfully shut the District line once more - their excuse earlier this season was that the works are planned 6 months in advance. They've remained rather silent on the past 4 months though.
andyroversmad Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 We never get anything from West Ham and if Demba Ba plays i can see him getting a goal. Would love a Rovers win but cant see it happening. 2-1 Hammers
JAL Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Rovers players need to look to Barcelona's fine example of how to work hard hunting for the ball when out of possession.
walk down bolton road Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Rovers players need to look to Barcelona's fine example of how to work hard hunting for the ball when out of possession. Absolutely spot on JAL.If Kean could get the players doing that were half way there. Working hard to get the ball back is what successful teams do
