Plastic Head Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 One proper centre-back? Two attacking full-backs? Might as well plant a tree as have Roberts. Predictable 4-0 defeat. Mr Steve Kean you again prove yourself to be a cccc.

AggyBlue Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Let's hope the ref stays impartial Also hope Robinson has been practicing long range shot stopping.
OsloRover Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 One proper centre-back? Surely Givet and Samba are both proper centre-backs?
vintageadidas Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Its a disgrace the way Niko is being played around with this way. I mean come on. Why? He is sh1t!

Mr Steve Kean you again prove yourself to be a cccc. I'm not happy with the lineup but let's wait and see what happens. Roberts averages about 5 goals a season and I think he has three so far so there is a chance he might have a couple of goals left in him this season.
Mattyblue Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 EDIT: we're on Five Live according to website. Bear in mind that won't work via the web though ....http://www.bbc.co.uk/5live/ Think it will for a Five live commentary, just local radio that cuts out.
chris Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 One proper centre-back? not blaming Kean for that are you?

And tbf salgado is probably more attacking than bert. Give the bloke a break
ada2020 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Why? He is sh1t! To right, where the hell has this cult following emerged from? Why do people see him as some sort of leading light in our squad?
pick32 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Part from Roberts and M Diouf I think Keans put out a good team with all the injuries. Out of the two starting elevens I'd still take ours they hav a poor back five and shocking midfield, part from the strikers i'd only take Hitzlsperger.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Givet and Samba are centre backs, we just play Givet at LB because he's not good enough to displace Samba/Nelsen/Jones but he is too good to leave out.

magicalmortensleftpeg Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 the reaction on here is absolutely PATHETIC. P.Jones is clearly injured, so the logical move is to put Givet at CB and move Olsson to left back. Roberts is poor. Niko is poor. Benjani is poor. No one can say that Niko is a miss. He's not been effective for 2 years. The line up makes complete sense considering the injuries. Kean has his faults. But when people come on here and cry for any little reason its sad. For all those who have decided that Kean is a moron due to this selection then please post an alternative 11 and I guaruntee that I could pick it to pieces.
Gogger Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Could really do with P.Jones pace in this one. Formica on the bench, but no Kalinic...

magicalmortensleftpeg Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Kalinic hasn't ever done anything!!! How on earth can people claim that he'd be any more effective than Roberts?? I dont rate Roberts at all but Im not blind to notice that Niko is hardly any better.
Hughesy Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Im glad Givet is centre back and not hanley.... Shame Olsson has to drop back but I think Hoilett will make up for the loss of him in midfield.... And also glad Diouf has been given a chance over Benjani (just a shame it wasnt instead of Roberts)
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I'm not knocking Kean, his choice is obviously limited by injuries. However that team is far from ideal. I'm not liking Ollsen at left back either.
MarkBRFC71 Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Think it will for a Five live commentary, just local radio that cuts out. It doesn't - same thing happens on Radio 5.

Olsson was excellent vs Arsenal against Walcott so could work out.
