Nafe_rovers Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 do you think they will make in onto general sale for us southerners who do not have a season ticket?
Mattyblue Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 If there are some left at the end of the week, yes I don't see why not.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 How many clubs in the league would do this??? We're spoilt. Fantastic gesture.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 How many clubs in the league would do this??? We're spoilt. Fantastic gesture. Those bloody Rao's eh?
Nafe_rovers Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 If there are some left at the end of the week, yes I don't see why not. what do you think the chances of that will be?
Mattyblue Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Not too sure, you never know with Rovers fans. They could all fly out tomorrow or they'll be on open sale for a week.
chaddyrovers Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 looks like I am going to wolves. will be getting my first thing tomorrow Well Done to rovers for knocking the prices dwn for this IMPORTANT Game. can't believe they are £38 for the game. £25 is good price for game. we will need to win them.
onlyonejackwalker Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 im staggered by the delay... i doubt theyll be posting a form due to the game being less than 2 weeks away.. this is rovers though so anything is possible. i remember in the early 90's the ticket office used to be constantly engaged, im sure they used to take the phones off the hook! The reason for the delay is that Kean is now in charge of the ticket office. When asked he commented; "We are all working very hard and remain very positive that the ticket office will soon be functioning properly. Regretably we have had to make changes. Dorothy from the allocations department has been released on loan and sent to Scotland after Neil Warnock complained about his personal allocation against QPR. Jill was removed and then re-instated as ticket office manageress, after committing to the ticket office and signing an improved deal. The telesales girls were all awarded lengthy new contracts, whilst Kelly Andrews was informed she could now only particpate in tickets for away games, due to the poor level of performance of late. New recruits still learning are ticketing superstars of the future and will not be used this season. We are committed to changing the syle and design of all forms and am pleased that June Ho Lett, one of our younger stars, is performing well running quickly between the ticketing and club secretary's office. The 5 million pound investement in the database and printing machines has not been wasted. The machines can be sold later at a small loss and although the database is not yet working, it remained a very good idea. We firmly believe we will be distributing Premier League tickets next year. I have flown to India with the glad tidings this morning at 9am and have just got back at 1pm to oversee the new paint job this afternoon. It is all positive stuff". Meanwhile an insider who did not want to be named stated; "The star recruit from the Manchester ticket office continues to be employed, but all around her know she is underperforming and on the highest salary! The new boss talks the talk, but nothing has improved. We are hopeful that Samantha returns, her methods worked even if the supporters disliked the long queues". It is all pretty straight forward after all!
nellybc Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Taken from the rovers website. Tickets are on sale ONLINE to Season Ticket Holders only from 12am midnight Tuesday 10th May and then from 9am at our usual selling outlets. It is one ticket per season ticket card. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to those supporters with a database history of buying for Blackburn Rovers matches on Saturday 14 May.
danielwhite813 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Great offer by the club. Will be snapping up my ticket tonight
ptholt Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Have been to quite a few matches both home and away this season, gnerally they have been very good. We did however get quite a bit of attitude at the end of the arsenal game as they kept my family and i kettled in with the home supporters up a side street on the way out of the emirates towards the tube station, with several unhappy gooners shouting in my wifes face (brave lads, picking on me would have been safer!) it was all getting a bit worrying. My point is, having never travelled to wolves and having three young kids on a possible relegation encounter i am a little nervous about going up with the family, and from what im reading online its not the friendliest of places to opposition colours at the best of times... any thoughts?
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Superb gesture by the club & the new owners. £13 subsidised off the tickets is great....@ £38 I thought (Still do) Wolves were taking the biscuit and trying to price us out of it....but now thanks to Rovers I will be there for sure, and with more mates than I expected when I 1st saw the prices. Anyone know the train situation? What sort of price? Or know of any pubs going on coaches?

blue_and_white Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Well done the club. Not quite as good as free coach travel but not half bad. Wolves take the word rip-off to new levels.
Roost Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Anyone know the train situation? Yep - Virgin Trains are a bunch of ripping off feckers, but that's another story. Or know of any pubs going on coaches? Aqueduct for sure with Birdys buses!
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Dont you need to be a regular to get on birdys buses? If not, how do I get on it?

If it's any help I have a disabled son, 21, who I always take to the away games we go to. However neither of us went to the last Burnley game and I gave our tickets to my oldest boy and his friend. My lad said to me afterwards it was only when he got inside Turf Moor he understood why I didn't go with his brother. I shall be at molyneux but won't be taking Tom. I expect the atmosphere to be fierce and would be worried about the home support if we send them down.
Roost Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Dont you need to be a regular to get on birdys buses? If not, how do I get on it? No, you don't but I would go into the aqueduct in the next few days and book yourself on. I am sure they have a list behind the bar, or at least used to.

Paul Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Thats kind of what im thinking, prob not the place for three kids between the ages of 8-12..... In my opinion no though I wouldn't presume to tell another parent what to do. My three boys have a five year spread and at 8-13 I would not have taken them to this game.
OhmiBRFC Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Birdy is fully booked. I got tickets to Birmingham from Preston for £26. Gone up now to £30 (that was last night). Leaving at 9am and coming back at 9:20pm. Six of us booked on. Thats kind of what im thinking, prob not the place for three kids between the ages of 8-12..... It was a bit tense last season. And they thought they'd got safety then. We got a bit of abuse walking to the station but we just ignored them and carried on walking.
