Bluemonday BRFC Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Do any other Blackburn/Darwen pubs not put on any other coaches, my mates trying to get us on the Aqueduct one but don't know where else to try out if their full up too... really don't fancy official travel and train is a rip off.
Mattyblue Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Think The Spinners in Darwen have a couple of coaches running, not sure if they are full.

I think there might be a coach going from The Station at Cherry Tree - not 100% sure though.

Mattyblue Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Come on Glenn and Ste is BRFCS travel not in the pipeline? Can you imagine, we'd need seats left empty for segregation

Birdy's sold out two coaches.

Glenn Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Come on Glenn and Ste is BRFCS travel not in the pipeline? We have discussed it in the past. But for 99% of games. it's not needed or worth the effort (and it's too late to do anything for Wolves).

Deffo not too late for the Wolves match. If we can have a poll on how many BRFCS members want to travel down together then its just a case of booking the adequate size transport. I do it all the time when I am DJing somewhere and its generally the weekend before when I book it. I'd want 6 spaces straight away

Ralfinho Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 A nice meeting point for a BRFCS coach would be the Golden Cup. Have a quick drink then everyone onto the coach and straight onto the moroway
Glenn Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Anyone want to volunteer to organise it. I'm a. In Leeds and b. Stupidly Busy. I know Stu Wilky (who used to do such things) is in a similar boat.

Backroom Tom Posted May 12, 2011 Backroom Posted May 12, 2011 Sorry Glenn I was only joking, I think I've created a monster here Time to go into hiding
Glenn Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Can you get to Wolverhampton from Leeds via Blackburn by water? Yes. Leeds Liverpool canal -> Bridgewater Canal -> Trent & Mersey Canal -> Shropshire Union Canal. Assuming a canal boat moves at walking speed you'd be looking at around 2day 6hrs, plus time lost navigating locks, assuming you work shifts and travel through the night.
Hughesy Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Spinners coach is full....2 full from Aqueduct too! Need another one, still without transport!!
