modes98
If Allardyce was still here, I'd have been buying United fans tickets left right and centre, hoping for that lifetime ban Modes I think that's half the motivation for current fans to sell theirs and get caught by advertising it on the web Gav Kean "football" or no football! 47er
This talk of hoping SAF fields a weakened team, pining for a draw, distresses me. It implies that we are weak and can only survive if SAF has mercy on us, or if we get lucky. We should not be playing to draw, or hope SAF thinks kindly of us. Playing for a draw is playing to lose. Expecting consideration from SAF is both weak and a fool's hope. ManU can be beaten and we should play for a win. Go at the hard. Play a physical game. Make ManU think they'll have easier pickings next week and back off. Fight to win, and push ManU into a bitter, hard fought game which would only favor us, psychologicaly. Emerton - Samba - P. Jones - Givet Hoilett - J. Jones - N'Zonzi - Olsson Kalinic-Benjani I definitely think we'd get slaughtered unless we play 3 in the middle. At least start with 3. Hope the lads as up for it as they were against Man C and Arsenal, rather than the awful second half display against WHU.
Mercer
It's going to be very tough tomorrow and, if we can't avoid defeat, we really need to try and protect our goal difference. I would go with: Robinson / Salgado, P. Jones, Samba, Givet / Hoilett (if 100%), J.Jones, Nzonzi, Pedersen (for set pieces and throws - we are abysmal in this area when he's missing), Olsson / Roberts (to run himself silly for 45 minutes, defending from the front, and then on with Niko). Need to make sure we start well - last two matches saw City & Bolton clobber the post early doors. United will be far more clinical. I'll be surprised if we come away with anything better than a defeat by 3 goals. Going for 1-4.

Tyrone Shoelaces
It occurred to me the other day that as if the red rats didn't need another reason for beating us I'm sure they'd like to rain on any potential Man. City Cup Final winning parade by winning a trophy of their own before them on the same day. Last time City won the league the rats won the European cup a few days later ! There's one angle Mercerman missed out on, he must be slipping. We're going to need the performance of the season so far to take any thing tomorrow, let's hope we're ready ! Come on Rovers. RevidgeBlue
Just been watching SSN this afternoon. I think overall Sky and the Premier League have been great but just watching encapsulates everything that is wrong about Sky and their obsession with the "big 4" Might as well be watching MUTV. "United this, United that" "Fergie this Fergie that" interviews with Ferguson and you honestly wouldn't have thought there was another team playing let alone one still needing points to guarantee safety. The straw that broke the camel's back came just before a commercial break. Someone from Skybet was apparently going to tell us whether "Blackburn" could stop "United" from celebrating the title tomorrow. Shouldn't they at least pretend to have a little bit of impartiaslity? Never mind - nothing new at all but still just as annoying. Come on boys - stuff it up 'em!

Ossydave
I really don't know what to expect tomorrow but for some reason i can see a 0 0 draw. The only thing thats certain is their fans are gona be bloody loud, we need all 3 sides to make some noise for our lads, so put ur blankets and flasks down riversiders and jw stand and show that WE are the home team. If we beat them - huge upset, and even more focus on the final match - if they beat us, it is probable that we will have the most exciting last day relegation battle for some time. They really can't lose. For me the dream scenario - both us and Blackpool beat United and they don't win the damned thing. I bet you could get long odds on that though. Backroom Tom Posted May 13, 2011 Backroom Share Posted May 13, 2011 Dreading this, it's a shame we can't look forward to the last home game of the season without fearing it will be the last Premiership game at Ewood Park for a long time. Not too nervous as we know what to expect I just hope Bolton and West Ham can do us a favour and / or Brum slip up at home.
Sandman
United will definitely come with three central midfielders Fergie said in his press conference that Hernandez will definitely be starting tomorrow, so they'll be playing 4-4-2. I expect them to play virtually the same team they played against Chelsea minus VDS and Evra will probably be back for them.
bob fleming
You really don't get it, do you ? Organisations pump hundreds of thousands of pounds and even more into the coffers of O.T.. They want something for their bucks! United reciprocate by giving them the 'red carpet' treatment eg places on the plane and at the team hotel for European away matches with first class stadium seats. These are taken-up by key personnel and key customers of that organisation. I've experienced it and it's fantastic!!! Let me tell you, these organisations get real spin-offs, real tit-bits and establish real relationships. United do this like no other club in Europe does!!! I really do fail to see how that can be "fantastic". I'd personally find it extremely nauseating. It has nothing to do with football, only making money. As far removed from following BRFC as you can get. Glory hunting, one up man ship, boasting, bragging nonsense. "Oh and I was talking to Gary Neville on the plane". What a load of @#/?. They'll ride into town tomorrow, smug as (Please don't use that word again). But this won't be another "City" episode, there's too much to lose this time round. I'm sick of United and their fans. Sick to death of it. My Mum and Dad aren't going tomorrow. They sit in the Jack Walker stand, just in front of some corporate seats. They'll be Man U sat in those seats just behind where they normally sit, you can bank on it. And Man U are an absolute set of tossers, every time. And at their age they don't bloody need it - so will watch it at home (which I'm quite pleased about I have to say).

You wouldn't if it was Rovers who did it and you were one of the guests. Corporate sponsorship and patronage is huge at many clubs in Europe and brings in massive amounts of money. But is that not what it's about ? What is the difference between that and what Sky do ? I have no affection for Manure or their manager, however, what no one can deny is that they are a feckin good team - they produce, in the main, when it's required and SAF has a fantastic record of success I honestly think that too many people take football too seriously. What the hell does it matter whether someone supports Rovers, Burnley, Everton, Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal. I have friends, colleagues and associates who all support such teams. We have lots of good craic about our different teams but there it ends. It's only a game and people need to remember that.

Good luck to 'em. Para 3. Totally agree. Ferguson is right up there with the best of all time. There's no denying that. Para 4. Indeed they do. Did you go to the City game Merse when they won 4-1? Surely you remember that? I left after the 4th goal, City fans were pouring into the ground by that point. I wished a group of about 6 of them all the very best as we crossed paths on Livesey Branch Road. They thanked me, walked another 20 yards and a couple of them threw beer bottles at me (what a waste). I decided to keep briskly walking away instead of asking them to remember that it's only a game. They were everywhere that day, our stewards were helpless / hopeless. The police nowhere. They take liberties this lot, they're just as bad if not worse. Let's not pretend for a single minute that this will be a quiet visit to Blackburn. They do what they want apparently.
Mike Graham
In pub last night and a manc fan (born and bred in Fenni, Blackburn ) was flashing his 2 tickets for the JW Upper (towards the Darwen end). Said he went to a Rovers home game 2 years back when Utd were not playing and therefore was on the database! Heart says Rovers to get a point. Head says 4 or 5 to Utd and we are back in the mire with our goal differnce stuffed up. I was not going to this as I had 2 corporate invites to the FA Cup Final; turned them both down with the hope that we can get summat out of this game....must be bonkers.
