Your correct. It is a mortgage facility secured on the clubs assests and TV money. My mistake.

Is the mortgage facility not secured against the tv money for THIS season only atm? I may be wrong can someone clarify?

JW knew when he'd made a mistake though, and was humble enough to admit it immediately.

Yeeeaaaaaaaahhnnnnnno.

JW wanted to keep Ince until the Trust overruled him. Could have cost us dearly.

What a silly post. We don't now know that the owners think Kean is a good manager at all.

What we do know is that they decided not to sack him before the end of the season and as the players have really given it their all in the last three games that seems with the benefit of hindsight that seems to be the correct decision.

No-one is saying they are the perfect owners either but they are the only ones we've got so we have to go with them for the time being.

They have said in public and to the media that Steve Kean will start next season as manager. Are you suggesting they don't tell the truth Rev? I assume that if they say that Steve Kean is going to be our manager next season they must think he is a good manager. What's silly about that?

I'm caught between really. His record isn't good and I wanted an experienced manager after Sam's departure. But he was thrown in the deep end and if we survive it would be a job well done for somebody who nobody had ever heard of. There is also the fact that the players look to be playing for him. It's a world away from Ince 3-0 Wigan. He's doing the hard yards at the moment and that can only benefit him.

It will either be inspired to keep him or a disaster.

I'm leaning towards a disaster. But if we put in two good

performances and they decide to keep him (I'm not advocating this) I will support him for the first few games of next season.

Didn't they say that Sam's job was safe too?

All I'm saying is he wouldn't be the first manager to get the dreaded "vote of confidence" and he certainly won't be the last.

What other businesses have The Raos owned Theno that they have deserted and run from? I am genuinely interested is your opinion based on insider information or just a generic opinion about Indian business people? Also wondering in what context do you continue to call them 'mob'?

There is a list of abandoned ventures on Balaji's sheet apparently.

If Kean starts next season as Manager, it will be by default and not choice.

They will have to have learnt a huge number of lessons from their first six months' tenure before they can remotely considered to have been good for Rovers. Their track record to date has been so abysmal that even those of us who had profound misgivings about them buying Rovers have seen them perform way below our worst expectations.

That could be openning up a can of worms.

I pose a question,

If Kean keeps Rovers up, does he deserve another crack at the job at the start of the season and not half way through a season. Especialy now people believe the players are playing for him and therefore appear to be on his side.

My answer is NO. Especially as he wants RSC on a permanant contract - as that alone speaks volumes to me.

nope... we should sack him in the summer.

if we dont.. id be angry!

of course i'll still support the team.. but he'll need to get some decent results at the start of next season, to win me over.

Does he though?

When asked the question of weather he wanted RSC permanantly, did you expect Kean to come out and say - "What? Are you kidding me? He's been awful since he has signed, i definatly won't be signing him in the summer".

I'm sure that answer would have done wonders for moral.

Another bump up!

Don't get me wrong, this message board is full of posts where I've talked out of my backside over the years. It's all about onions after all. Yes, onions.

Makes for good reading at times this one. The title of the thread drew me to it.

Kin ell man. You did me. It rang a bell but I could't place it!

You should try reading that in the cold light of day. I'll stick to ex Viz and Fast Show characters myself who you can easily google. At least I can take the bins out without the fear of being blinded.

Where was this cash in the January transfer window when we desp[erately needed it ? Like many people I have serious doubts that this lot 1) have the cash and 2) even if they do that they are genuinely willing to throw it at Rovers anyway.

Don't be suprised if Venky's spend next to nothing of new cash in the summer and any transfer activity is by player sales.

And please don't call it the EPL - there's no such competition.

Seemed to me this was worth quoting.
