But bloody hell, this is the first time I have been genuinely shocked by something in the news for a very long time. What happened, in the way and where it happened is about as far removed from normal as I can imagine.

I don't watch the news enough so decided to google this as my father lives in the Canary Islands. I really feel not just for the family of the victim but the people who witnessed it first hand.
