If the Walker Trust remain true to form they won't make any public comment on it at all. I expect that to remain the case unless there is a direct libel against them.

Dignity is something they seem to cherish...

I would suggest that the Walker Trust will ask for an explanation as to what was insinuated by the comments. They may not ask publically - but by the article in the sun being printed - they have every right to do so. It would also be understandable if they demanded an explanation.

It could also depend on how the Walker Trust view Venky's since the takeover. How they judge the running of the club by the venky's. How they view the treatment of the legacy started by Jack.

There are many responces and ways to to protect the dignity. Silence is just one of them.

I have to be honest and say that as a supporter of Rovers, I view the quotes that are said to come from venkys as an unjustifiable slant on Jack Walker and the walker trust.

Having read the article again and given it more thought. I suggest that both the Sun and venkys need to clarify things. As somebody on here mentioned - the money came from Givet,s account. Not that of the club, previous owners etc etc. So that in itself, on paper could exonerate the club from allegations. (if things are not right about givet's transfer, venkys as they were not the owners at the time, cannot be blamed. But being the owners now, would be held accountable)

Reading the suns article, clarification is required on what did venkys mean - if these quotes are from them. Because as it is written now and portrayed to us, it looks like venkys are pointing fingers of wrong doing at the previous owners.

If venkys are not saying that, then they need to say so.

If I was the walker trust, I would want an explanation from venkys and the sun (in case of miss quoting)as to what was meant. If the sun have written things wrong, then they would owe both venkys and the walker trust an appology.

Of course if the article is true, a whole can of worms opens up. First question to me would be who approached who with regards to the first article. I would also want to know from venkys, why did they go to the media and say what they said. Because it looks like, from a business point of view, a massive own goal.

"Look at what was happening before we took over, Yes we know this may cost us points and relegation and money".

So the motive behind and use of the words given to the media, raises questions that only others can answer. The only ones who can answer the questions are first the sun and then venky's.

For now i'd say the Allardyce, Williams and Walker trust need to answer questions before Venky's do. Some clever play here from our current regime.

Agree with most of that PAFELL I'm just not sure that the Walkers can really have to of a say in 'the legacy started by Jack'. The do not deserve to be slighted because the did a LOT for the club after Jack died but they did ultimately decide that they didn't want to steer this ship any more.

It is pathetic play by our owners. Sam, williams nor the Walker trust have made or nor have they attempted to make any form of allegation against venkys. But according to the sun article, the venkys are insinuating that the last owners may have done things wrong. By saying that it would not surprise them if 'other' wrong doings are found from before venkys took over.

They are suggesting that under the walkers - which would include Jack Walker and not just the trust - an investigation by the powers that be, may well find.

The words used is like an invitation to have the last owners running of the club investigated. What they do not seem to realise is that they had due dillegence done on Blackburn rovers and everything involved with regards to the club. It is their own due dilligence that they should be questioning. Also the pathetic agent, who it has been reported has been helping the venkys and advising them.

It just goes to show how pathetic those advisors are. Because if there was anything dodgy going on during the Walkers running of the club, it should and would have been revealed during the due dillegence process - if that was done properly. If there is something wrong, it shows venkys got the wrong people to do the due dillegence and the wrong advisors in to help them.

Sam and John Wiliams were sacked and left with hardly a whisper, as did the walkers - even after all the various highs and lows of owning and running the club, from during the time Jack took over to the time the club was sold.

Venkys or who ever told them to contact the media have made a grave mistake. I believe that this will bounce back upon themselves, but NOT the previous owners or the club itself. It could even reveal things about our current owners that they may want to keep quiet - not saying this is the case. But when an investigation is carried out, a good investigator has to look at all things connected with the investigation from all sides. I hope at this moment in time that Venkys have things hidden, they would rather keep quiet about and the investigator finds them.

I believe Venkys, maybe with the help of others, may have scored a massive own goal. Only time will tell. My view is that time is clicking with regards to venkys - I should say, clucking.

Given that particular publications record as far as truthfulness goes, I'm not completely convinced they've made that statement exactly as written. Bad translation perhaps? Could even be made up.

Sadly, if it turned out to be accurate, I wouldn't be surprised. Perhaps our chums at the LET can get chapter and verse, if they're happy to give The Sun a quote, they should be forthcoming.

Regardless, a good PR person should be absolutely fuming about that coverage and doing something about it.

Not having a visible and attributable figurehead representing us isn't doing us any favours either.

Nothing is clear at all. Just an insinuating story and more ill-advised comments. And it's not even clear who made the comment.

People are not bashing Kean because of the Givet issue the are bashing them because of their alleged reaction, which attempts to cast a cloud over the integrity of the previous owners. Classless is how I would describe it too.
