[Archived] Help setting hotmail as default?

Whenever I clicked on a link to an email address, it used to take me to my hotmail.com page. I've been messing around with Googlemail recently and somehow that's now become the default email link. So when I click an email link, It now goes to my Gmail page.

Problem is, I can't see how to get hotmail.com back as default email. I'm running windows 7, via firefox. Any ideas please?

It think you go to the start menu, and there is SET PROGRAM AND ACCESS DEFAULTS. Click it, find Custom, then choose the default programs you want to use for email, browsing etc.

Problem is Ozz, hotmail isn't in the list of programmes that can be set as default. Windows Live Mail* is there and I've set that as default, but it still doesn't bring up hotmail.com when I click on a link.

Any more ideas?

Hotmail is part of the Windows Live thing I think. With extras attached to it.

I think you can also go for USE CURRENT, so switch Hotmail on, goto the custom tab again and select USE CURRENT for default program usage.

Thanks for your help Ozz. It's not how it used to be, because it used to take me directly to the hotmail page. Now it takes me to the windows live page, but that will do. Better there than Gmail. I hate Gmail.
