[Archived] Season Ticket Prices 2011/12

Recommended Posts

Just spent the last ten mins sorting out renewing my season ticket. This would be my 23rd season ticket and my 35th season of attending matches.

But I couldnt do it, I hovered over the enter button once I'd Placed my card details in, but I just could not bring myself to give this current bunch of clowns running OUR club my hard earned money.

See what they have done, it breaks my heart.

I can't be alone, there must be others like me who feel let down, abused and totally ignored?

LAST DAY - Think alot are holding off to see if Venkys spend any money....a goalscorer and some flair would surely help attract some of the fans

This approach doesn't make much sense, we've had little or no investment for years and still people have renewed year upon year.

If season ticket sales are down, walk on’s will be up, our gates will not go down in the main, I can guarantee that.

How can you "guarantee" gates will not go down........are you a clairvoyant ?

Supporters waiting and watching makes perfect sense after the promises that have been made by the owners ...... fans do not want to feel they have been conned.

I'm giving up my Darwen end season ticket as my little lad is ready to get his 1st one, He's 4 so we are gonna go into the family stand till he's older. Been going with my mates for years buy had to sacrifice it for his future Rovers up bringing lol. Would have got him a ticket in Darwen end with me, but with what happened at the Brum home game and a couple of others I don't fancy putting him in harms way tbh.

Bunkum.

If ST sales are down, gates will be down.

Bunkum, lets hold this thought should we and see what happens?

Have you renewed Den?

100% DEN.

If we lost say 3000 ST holders our gates would be 3000 down on last season. If we gained 3000, our gates would rise accordingly.

That pattern has been repeated at Rovers for years.

Bunkum.

How many season tickets did we sell last season compared to the season before? did the difference in sales reflect in on the gates?

Going down in the next 5 minutes Gav.

Good man, I seem to recall you telling me you didn't think you'd bother this time, or maybe I dreamt that?

Out of all the people In know, not 1 person has decided not to renew, even a couple of lads that are United fans are again buying Rovers season tickets to see premiership football.

I'm not saying sales won't be down though, but I doubt gates in general will drop.

OK gav.

2002/2003 We had an average crowd of 26000. That summer we lost about 3000 ST holders- our average gate the season after? 23000

We continued to lose ST holders, by 2006 we had an average crowd of 21000.

When STs went down in price, we added 4000 new ST holders- our average crowd was up to 25000. Last summer we lost a few hundred ST holders and our average crowd was slightly down.

The way it has always been as we don't have an unlimited fanbase.

Ummmm, I'm not interested in 2002 and 2006, different times, but since they dropped the prices I'm sure we'll have remained steady regardless, but time will tell Matty, lets see what happens.

If we lose thousands of ST holders, our average crowd will be down by thousands, that is my point.

Anyways, IF they are down by a big margin at such cheap prices, it does not bode well. Comparisons with other clubs are not valid as most are paying £500+ for a ST.

Yes and a point I disagree with personally, but we'll see what happens.

I wasn't sure Gav. The fact that I left it until the last day says a lot.

As for your point about renewals, well I have asked for a transfer to w11w, which is a popular stand in the JW upper. I suggested to the lady that there wouldn't be much chance of me and Baz getting seats there below row 9, because it was a popular stand. She looked on the computer and said quite a few there hadn't renewed. Make of that what you will.

Hi Den, how long did you have to Q for? 2 minutes?

Also W11 has plenty of classy fans (!!!) are you sure you want to move there?
