Why not Tom? If you are not enjoying a product on offer and in disagreement with the basic business model then why the hell pay good money out? Wouldn't that be both hypocritical and insincere?

Speaking of which your old Uncle has done a complete about turn. Told me in April that he had had enough with the Venkeys and their stupidity and that he was not renewing and spending Saturdays either golfing or sailing then last week he did a complete about turn and signed up to the Riverside again! I understand that he's been down to get this seasons complete new riverside match day home kit of new hush puppy's, flask and blanket. I realise that he can never ignore a bargain but I can only think the wind must have changed direction suddenly in the flat lands.

It's instilled in us though isn't it? Rovers aren't Venkys, we existed before and I ruddy hope we'll continue to exist afterwards.

Plus it gives us something to moan about throughout the week.

And at £12 a game it's fairly unbeatable value for Premiership football.

Wonder how many of the stayaways would be back if we turned it round and started challenging for Europe again, pretty pathetic if you ask me. Plenty of people here are utterly dismayed with what's going on but not renewing still wasn't an option for them!

Probably a lot.

My view is, i am only one person (well 3 actually ) & our non renewal of STs will hardly register within the boardroom at Ewood, BUT it means a lot to myself. I`m finding it really difficult to hand over my hard earned cash to a bunch of people who have promised the earth then produced absolutely zilch so far! All Venkys have done is drag the good name of Blackburn Rovers down to the level of the Birminghams & Portsmouths of this world. We`re becoming a bit of a joke club. A laughing stock in the football world. It`s no wonder nobody of any serious class wants to come to Ewood, when you`ve got amateurs at the helm.

Until Venkys decide to sort their sh1t out & start running the club properly my hard earned money will stay firmly in my pocket.

What will i do on those cold winter Saturdays? I`ll find something i`m sure.

Like i`ve said many times before....i don`t have a lot, but i do have my feet to vote with.

Colin you are a fine example of those people who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Kean's inept football and naive tactics before the senior players took control for the relegation run in certainly did NOT represent unbeatable value in my book.

So when do we find out how many people have walked away?????

Hughesy if your bored feel free to PM me.

It seems that 1 in 3 season tkt holders have walked away.

There is no need for Hughesy to PM you, if he knows a figure he could quite easily put it on here.!

To say he cant say is ludicrous!

We are only talking about a football clubs season tkt sales here for godsake.

Ditto cletus. Giving them my money to bring in some 90's Carlos Kickaball cokehead or our proxy Chairman's son whilst our best players look like leaving simply cos I'm stuck for Saturday afternoon entertainment sticks in my craw.

1 in 3 seems excessive despite whats gone on imo. Anyway the season hasn't started yet. BUT if it is true I'm damned glad that I haven't renewed as yet. There'll be giveaway offers and bundles galore and I'd imagine I'll possibly be able to bid em for a match ticket or two next season! As I expected ST's could turn out to be a complete waste of money as all they've been good for these past few seasons is for guaranteeing getting in for Cat A matches.

Got to agree there, ethics and standpoints aside the quality of football at times was just as poor if not worse than under Kean. That West Ham 0-0 game is the worst game at Ewood I can recall in a long time.

I've just been on to the ticket office, trying to get a new season ticket for my nephew, it was obviously very busy, I waited a long time, and at the end of it they advised me to ring back in a week before I could pick the only seat near me in BBE NO2 that hasn't been renewed...

Of course there were those that had enough of 'oof ball, but we never saw anywhere like 30% of STs not being renewed in the Allrrdyce era and that's a fact.

Ps I like winning football, the method that win is earnt doesn't matter one iota to me.

Ok, fine. Those of you who are not prepared to come and support your club Blackburn Rovers*, that's your decision. Therefore, you are no longer a supporter of Blackburn Rovers in my view, and I am not interested in your opinion on anything concerning the club. Laters, see you, thanks and cheerio.

*this does not apply to anyone who cannot come for reasons of finance, family or distance.

Preston relegated to Div 1,no money, shyte squad, fans not happy with their owners, season ticket prices similar if not slighty more than our's.......sales UP on this time last season.Go figure.

Some of our 'fans' need to take a good long look at themselves.

I know what you are saying SG but PNE are down to their hardcore support- haven't they sold about 6000?

We had about 18000, obviously a good percentage of them are anything but fanatical.

Its not the same though. Pne are coming from a low base rate-their average crowd was 11,500 last season. We have just about reached the maximum optimum level of s/t holders for a town our size, so inevitably there is going to be a natural dip at some point. As for people not renewing cos of Kean- im amazed considering some of the dross we put up with under SA. We successfully snatched defeat from the jaws of victory under him.

They have sold 7,000+ that figure is up following a relegation season.

We are all slightly cheesed off with Venky's and their bumbling tenure to date but we are still Premierleague, still the top dogs around these parts.....rumour of being 1/3rd down on ticket sales???

Some of our fans need to get a grip Matty and its embarrassing to say so.

The problem is that our matchday support and the hardcore support are totally different. Over the past 50 years I've seen the hardcore support drop to 5,000 and sometimes less and yet look at the attendances when we win things. You only need look at attendances for the early rounds of the cup competitions to see how the support can melt away. I suspect the hardcore support is no more than nine or ten thousand if truth be known.

It is up to the club to generate interest as they have competition from various other activities for the disposable income of families. The days when you went down to Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon because that was the fortnightly ritual are long gone. There are now a myriad of activities for familes to participate in and an ever decreasing amount of money to devote to them.

Sadly, the club need the income that these "floating supporters" bring and cannot rely simply on the hardcore support - there just aren't enough of us. It is the same at every club - even Old Trafford had empty seats last season. The Rovers have got the pricing right but they also need to produce a winning team as that's what brings the crowds in.

At the moment there is little to entice these supporters to renew season tickets. Results at home over the second half of the season weren't great and the loss of Jones hasn't helped. There are huge question marks about the ability of the manager and many supporters have been unhappy at the departures of John Williams and Tom Finn. For those who are not hardcore supporters there are, at the moment, many reasons not to renew and very little encouragement to renew season tickets.

I am in a position to say that at this moment I havent renewed my ticket, nor has my good mate and fair few others.

None of us have financial constraints or job worries and ALL of us have had tickets for a good while, the lowest serving member has about 25 yrs solid service of following BRFC.

This is my 40th season or will be BUT as it stands I am just not going to hand over my cash until we see some major improvement in the way the club is being portrayed and we see just what quality we have coming into the club.

I need to see and end to the likes of Andrews and Grella and Benjani and I want to see an end to the links with Maradonna, Beckham and any other player such as fat ron and ronnidino. I want to see solid investment in half decent players. I want to see a Bentley, a Defoe or a Bellamy or Bendtner. I want to see good solid players coming in not morons or money grabbers. I want the venkys to come out and TELL us their visions of how they see BRFC. I want to see the clubs vision, the future. I want to see who our sponsors are and I want to see our kits for the coming season.

Until I do then its simple. Like others I will not renew and I will not be a walk on fan.

The club needs to grow communications skills and it most certainly needs to communicate with its hardcore support because without it they lose and the club loses.

I want venkys to succeed but at this very moment in time, despite the ruffling behind the scenes I am not convinced theya re getting it right ON the pitch.
