Venkys own our club, get used to it. Oh how I miss the Trust selling players and then keeping most of it, funny how their broken promises are rarely highlighted.

If you are suggesting the Trust in any way received moneys from Blackburn Rovers' transfers, that is an actionable lie.

I'll word it carefully, I am curious where the £2 million from Benni went? Any ideas?

Yeti dog.....

a. Have you renewed your ST?

b. What area of the ground is it?

c. How long have you held a ST?

You can answer too imy9.

Two major problems there. Location (I live in Oxford) and the fact I work weekends.

Not that I should have to justify myself to you.

Trust me though, if those issues didn't apply I'd be on to a season ticket post haste.

I dont have a season ticket, never have, if it was a viable option for me I would do EVERY season regardless of management or who owns our club. Now:

1. Where does it say tha Venkys have saddled the club with debt?

2. Money coming into the club is not being used with any debt, do you know any different?

If the trust werent involved in any "dodgy dealings" then we were probably the only club in the land to be "clean"

Operating Losses caused by pressure of player wages- see the analysis of the accounts that year.

We were told that this money would be spent on players- it wasnt.

We were then told that we would ONLY purchase a striker if Roberts was sold. When Venkys do it then they are telling lies, when The Trust did it.. nothing mentioned?

We were told after Jack died that the Trust would ensure that our future was protected and that we would not notice any change- Minus £3 million every season has broken that dont you think?

BPF also intimated that allegedly things were not as rosy as you painted them about the trust.

Disgraceful post...call yourself a supporter.

He has a point, though.

It's frustrating listening to football fans complain endlessly about the state of the game, whilst blindly funnelling money into the problem. The best thing fans can ever do to make a stand is to keep their hard-earned cash in their pocket.

As a compromise I've renewed by season ticket - that was never in question - and will continue to travel, hopefully, to all away matches. However, I won't purchase anything in the club shop or concourse, nor will I buy matchday lottery tickets until I feel happier about our new owners. I know it's not much of a protest but having supported the club for 50 years, I'm not about to be driven away by owners who know nothing about the club, its history or its supporters and who reside on the other side of the world.

I hope they can make a success of the club for obvious reasons but on the evidence of what I've seen over the past six months I have my doubts. Nonetheless, while I have doubts about the owners and a total lack of confidence in the puppet we call a manager my support for Blackburn Rovers remains undiminished.

I think ensuring that we had our longest stint in the top flight since 1936 meant that Trust certainly protected our future as a Premier League club. It will be interesting to see if Venkys can maintain that sort of record over the next decade.

To be fair Parson I agree with a lot of what you said.

The way the Trust were running us meant that it was a case of WHEN rather than IF we would be relegated IMO.

Distorting history there imy. Jack Walker died in Aug 2000 when we were in the Championship. We were therefore promoted under the control of the Trust for that full season. Every success since then including European football and Worthy Cup win and SF appearences was under control of the trust too.

The 3m carried on until 2007/8 (I think) and coincided with the Premier League payments to clubs virtually doubling.

If anything above is wrong I'm sure that you will let me know. If it isn't I expect a retraction.

btw What sort of a striker would we have got with any money received for Jason Roberts? It'd dangerous to do so but I would assume that the WHU money would have been added to Roberts fee to try and fund somebody of better ability.

imy, you labelled John Williams a liar previously, do you still believe that to be the case?

Thats not what I said was it?

I merely highlighted a little hypocrisy, which was not disproved if I recall correctly.

Cost of wages doubled do, as did other things. That £3 million was deemed no longer necessary for the club andw as taken away, did we need it, I think you'll agree we did.btw What sort of a striker would we have got with any money received for Jason Roberts? It'd dangerous to do so but I would assume that the WHU money would have been added to Roberts fee to try and fund somebody of better ability.

It would have been a striker though- said we were going to be buy one, then only if Roberts was sold- I agree what sort of striker would we have gotten for the price? Not a good one.

How was he a liar? Please explain.

You seem all too keen to discredit previous owners/managers who ultimately did a lot of good for BRFC.

I did not call him a liar (as far as I am aware).

There are only so many times I can say John Williams did an excellent job as Chairman of our club, but when one criticism goes his way then I am trying to "discredit previous owners/managers" On that topic please show me where I have discredited Sam, I thought he did a very good job and have said it enough times- search function is but a few clicks away :P

Not that I should have to justify myself to you.

Yet you question whether I am a supporter and have the temerity to call yourself a supporter!!!! I've paid thousands out supporting BRFC over the years. I spent a bloody grand in Cardiff alone in taking the entire family to the Worthy Cup Final ffs! Ditto trailing across Europe on a number of occasions! Have you been to Europe with BRFC btw? Did you take the family to Cardiff even? How about Wembley in 87, 91 and 94? How about you imy?

Tell you what you take my ST in the JW upper inner. Just buy it... you don't need to go at all and then I will call you a proper supporter. Even better why don't you half it with that other massive BRFC fan from afar imy9? Personally I think the thought of parting with 200 quid each will have you both diving for cover.

I'd wager that Rovers have better supporters in Burnley than you two.

Echoing what others have said about gate receipts compared to TV revenue, season ticket holders not renewing are actually hurting the club more than Venkys.

The sight of rakes of empty seats - because walk on prices are often about treble the season ticket matchday cost - will be pounced upon and we'll be turned into an even smaller club.

Plus the word-of-mouth from fans of other clubs. "Look at the prices of your season tickets - and you still can't sell out". (Which has already been said to me).

There must be a better way to make a point to Venkys without impacting the club/team/match/results!

You speak of the hypocrisy of John Williams (some even say you call him a liar) yet on the same page you whinge about other people not putting money into BRFC. Yet by your own admission you yourself have put the square root of sweet FA into the club. It's you who are the hypocrite here imy.

imy9 you say you have never had a ST .... have you ever even been to Ewood Park to see the Rovers play?

Bang on Jisty. If we are struggling to hit 20,000 crowds next season at those prices, we will get slaughtered- 'aye but we are protesting against Venky's for talking a load of @#/?' isn't going to cut it.

How would you describe the supporters of FC Utd of Manchester?
