hollowsr Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Is it today that season tickets go on general sale on the website? It seems to have taken forever, maybe they don't want to show it on the website to scare people about how many empty seats there will be! It's already up on the website, or was earlier

Mattyblue Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 The gaps in the JW Stand (and the rest) are a scary sight. The masses have spoken.
philipl Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Yet again, I hate being right- 7,000 down like for like.
rebelmswar Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Yet again, I hate being right- 7,000 down like for like. What's it like being the oracle of doom?
Gav Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Yet again, I hate being right- 7,000 down like for like. You're not always right Philipl
Hughesy Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Yet again, I hate being right- 7,000 down like for like. 7000 down like for like?? So according to you we will have about 11,000 season ticket holders?? When I checked just before deadline down we were between 4000-4500 down.....however we had a spurt of sales after deadline day which isnt normal and therefore it has improved on like for like......7000 is possibly double where we are at!
Mattyblue Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Count the seats Hughesy... you know you want to!!!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 You're not always right Philipl Get praying those missing fans pay on the day Gav!!
only2garners Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Yet again, I hate being right- 7,000 down like for like. That's all right then, because you're definitely wrong on this.
Backroom Tom Posted July 18, 2011 Backroom Posted July 18, 2011 Sorry Phil but O2G is right and you're wrong. Let's not jump on Philip though as if it's proof he is wrong about everything though.
Blue n White Rover Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Sorry Phil but O2G is right and you're wrong. Let's not jump on Philip though as if it's proof he is wrong about everything though. Even a broken clock is right twice a day
BangkokRover Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Season ticket confirmed to be down around 10% Season ticket sales update
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Season ticket confirmed to be down around 10% Season ticket sales update Now Phil's figures could have been correct - as it does say on a like for like basis - but I can't imagine they sell thousands of tickets between now and the start of the season. So either they have had a huge leap in sales in the last three days, Phil's 7k was more than a little out, or the club are lieing.

So either they have had a huge leap in sales in the last three days, Phil's 7k was more than a little out, or the club are lieing. Phil's figures incorrect, never lol. About 10% down considering all the negativity is remarkable really- a few signings and I can see that figure being close to last year.
Mattyblue Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I know a fair few ST holders in my real life and they had all renewed, and I was hearing the same from others so I just couldn't fathom being 40% down.
LeftWinger Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Season ticket confirmed to be down around 10% Season ticket sales update Blackburn Rovers officials are anticipating a late rush on season ticket sales as excitement gathers momentum ahead of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League campaign.

So either they have had a huge leap in sales in the last three days, Phil's 7k was more than a little out, or the club are lieing. My impression from Monday night and previous Forums was that they did sell a lot quite late on last season - indeed they were still selling into September. I think the club feel that they will get quite a lot of sales late this year as well. There were some members on the Forum who have not yet renewed but will do and anyone who wants a ticket in the Darwen End has no real incentive to buy before the season starts as it's unreserved so there may well be plenty of people waiting in that area. My best guess is that we will sell less than last year but not by a very big % and, given the negativity which appears to be around, would be a remarkable result.
1864roverite Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 My ST money, shirt money and away day money is still burning a hole in my pocket and will contineu to do so untilt he club bring about some proper management of the club. I dont believe the 10% figure is correct, it is higher than that.
Ossydave Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Well on a plus note, there'll be s lot less miserable, whinging old tools in the ground next season
mhead Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Its always interesting how a good %age of the 'addict' posters on here, are either not Season Ticket Holders or want to increase their status by not buying their SeasonTicket yet(or maybe never again) Not counting Waggy who is just a Rishton Crusty they are about 25 to 40 at most, therefore a minority of 0.3% of the total Season Ticket Holders. Very small but very vociferous, and some of them such regular posters you would bet your mortgage they were ST Holders. Makes you think about human psychology.

Who should I believe a - The club's official comment b - Hearsay from some simpleton who works in the club shop If this summer has taught me one thing, its that everyones 'contacts' have been wrong, wrong and wrong again.
bobsterbrfc Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Roger you cynic. You doubted my ability to find a chippy in Morecambe too!
DanLad Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Who should I believe a - The club's official comment b - Hearsay from some simpleton who works in the club shop If this summer has taught me one thing, its that everyones 'contacts' have been wrong, wrong and wrong again. Given the apparent hemorrhaging of staff, maybe source ( a ) and ( b ) are, in fact, the same person. Saves a bob on wages, you see.
