Clitherover Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Seems about accurate to me. Hopefully this poll does'nt expand into a table of creative chanting or new songs as the mighty BRFC would be rock bottom. "BARMY ARMY" Nowt like giving you're own club a good old slating ey?

CaliRoverNYC Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Anyone else bothered by the fact that 67 decibels shouldn't get us 15th place... we are ahead of 2 or 3 clubs that have a higher decibel number than we do... I'll take the bump up the table but it makes me wonder how long they actually spent putting this together.
Guest TheArtistFormallyKnownAsJB Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Before I start, Hello to all on this board, this is my first post; Being a techy with this sort of thing.... Too many variables for this to be measured accuratley. Taking into account stadium design, number of supporters, importance of game, rivalry between fans, performance of the team etc Loudest game I have ever been at is the Rovers vs Burnley League match at ewood last season. When Dunny scored the equaliser, I am pretty sure the decibel level was well over 67!

I always work on the principle that anyone can make their figures say anything they want them to say. I couldn't care two hoots about that table. The same goes for all the silly stats shown on screen during TV games. None of them maean anything except who puts the ball in the net more often than the opposition. PS Just love your signature Cali

McClarky Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 What a loud of rubbish and complete waste of time. How can you compare? Totally depends on games chosen. I wouldn't put L'pool anywhere near the top as most of their fans are clubshop bag carrying humbug munchers on a day out. Must have used Utd, Everton and City for them. Funny how the Celtic fan comments how noisy Parkhead is, not when you are playing anyone other than Rangers it isn't mate. Like a library usually.
Ossydave Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Load of old balls really ain't it, surprised people are getting so worked up about it. I doubt their ever so accurate readings at Ewood were taken from some of the bigger games this season, in fairness it has been a morgue at times.
1864roverite Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Just as an insight, the loudest crowd ever at Old triffid was the Rovers v Chelsea semi final game in particular the highest decibel was recorded when Rovers scored.
Roost Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 You're mates with Eddie Howe? And he goes to Rovers games?? That is his mate! Ralfinhno is a Dingle.
braddock Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I've always been of the opinion that we have quiet fans. One of the loudest chants was about chickens this season. Embarrassing. Oh and booing Andrews.
Finch Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 the size of the ground and the attendance could be taken into consideration. Wonder what the rankings would look like then. Especially impressive rankings for Wigan and Blackpool - esp Wigan whose ground whenever I've seen it always seems to be over half empty. Spurs seem to be low down compared to the size of their stadium - I guess all that whinging doesn't raise the decibel level much, huh!

Finch Posted Yesterday, 11:09 AM Spurs seem to be low down compared to the size of their stadium - I guess all that whinging doesn't raise the decibel level much, huh! As an away fan at WHL - Spurs always seemed to generate one of the better and louder atmosphere's - not been for a while though , also Wham always appeared loud when I have been to the Upton (Boleyn) McClarky Posted 25 May 2011 - 16:08 PM Funny how the Celtic fan comments how noisy Parkhead is, not when you are playing anyone other than Rangers it isn't mate. Like a library usually. And when we went up there (but only the Rovers fans - although to be fair they were loud on the return down at Ewood. Tends to be the norm at most games nowadays though that most of the noise comes from the away fans.
