I have a suspicion that there WAS a price clause before.

But frankly it doesn't matter much in the current situation.

The £16 million clause in the contract NOW is all that matters.

I would agree.

But the word proof gets slung around so much on here its frankly like an alcoholics wet dream

It's of no benefit to the selling club. I don't believe clubs do it voluntarily.

99.99% of them anyway.

You also know what the original discussion was about. It was about whether Venky's could be blamed for inserting the clause. You used Cryer and nicko as evidence of there being no clause previously, I always said that there must have been.

Your sources have since changed to there probably being a clause before. Which is what I said and all along and you said was untrue.

Now you think you have won a sematic argument when that was never the original discussion.

As I said, you would bring up an irrelevant point and claim victory.

It shouldn't have been that difficult for you either, my mind is on other matters at the moment.

I read last week that Notlob had a release clause on players, think Cahill was mentioned, be interested to know who insisted on that clause.

Anyway... Surely the people who run the site mustn't think so, because they would have asked that the user changed it when the application to join the site was made.

Wheres Philip and co who were adament we would just get the 16m? Nicko 1 - Mail, Telegraph etc 0.

Why, as it doesnt exactly build up trust if its going to be hidden.

Rovers are reporting that the transfer might become a record-breaking fee. Guess that means that we will get 16m now, and most likely 4 more if thing goes good for Jones. (Something that will happen)

Nicko said new figures.. they have been widely published so I'd be surprised if it is that deal. Although it does sound like it will be one figure with the potential to increase.
