RoverMad86 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Although farfetched, if the owners want a marquee signing from Brazil, with re-sell value, surely we should be looking at Neymar and Ganso from Santos. Both already good players who might be on the move this summer. Expensive but worth more in three years time.

rickard Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Are you sure it's not Mrs D's going for a Brazilian? Sorry, couldn't resist! no such jokes around dinner time!
nicko Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Some people are quite good at times... One round here is actually excellent, but I won't name him to spare his blushes. The game's afoot.
chaddyrovers Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Diego is a logical choice, he is leaving his club right? Does Diego play for Wolfsburg? is this the player you are on about?
Hekla Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Does Diego play for Wolfsburg? is this the player you are on about? Yes him, I hear Wolfsburg will be letting him leave so maybe this is him?
john-rover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Does Diego play for Wolfsburg? is this the player you are on about? Yeah, very good set piece and on the ball but could be a little lightweight in the Premier League
bennyboyt11 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Thing is, there's no way they would ever come to us when they have some of the top clubs in Europe vying for their talents.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 13, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted June 13, 2011 Diego is more of a realistic possibility I imagine. Neymar? No chance! Chelsea never seem to stop being linked with him, not sure how much is in it, but if he's being linked with clubs like Chelsea, I would have thought he would be out of our reach!
chaddyrovers Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Yeah, very good set piece and on the ball but could be a little lightweight in the Premier League http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Ribas_da_Cunha#Wolfsburg If we did sign this guy, we would have to build a team around him. He like to play in the hole behind the strikers. I don't think it is him. we have got Ruben, Formaica and Hoilett plus Dunn who can play in the hole
rogerjonesgloves Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Yes him, I hear Wolfsburg will be letting him leave so maybe this is him? My link
Roverdale Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Neymar is also pretty intent on staying in Brazil.. he could move pretty much anywhere in the world right now. One ridiculous quote from him was along the lines of 'I'll win world footballer of the year even playing in Brazil'
Backroom Tom Posted June 13, 2011 Backroom Posted June 13, 2011 Some people are quite good at times... One round here is actually excellent, but I won't name him to spare his blushes. The game's afoot. Amazingly for all his random suggestions it could be Chaddy as he named a brazilian earlier today. Kamy I've been following you on twitter for ages but had no idea it was you mate
67splitscreen Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Amazingly for all his random suggestions it could be Chaddy as he named a brazilian earlier today. Kamy I've been following you on twitter for ages but had no idea it was you mate He'll remind us all shortly, in the meantime it was Marcelo CB for PSV
martonrover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Thing is, there's no way they would ever come to us when they have some of the top clubs in Europe vying for their talents. They'll be queuing up to sign for 'Mr Steve' as he's such a nice man.
yeti-dog Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 JAL, why do you feel the need to refer to Kean as Stephen but not Hughes as Leslie and Allardyce as Samual?? Becuase he's being a prat and seeking to belittle him..reminds me of Vinjay actually(not a good thing btw..) who used to incessantly refer to Hughes as Leslie for the very same reason. It's tedious and so is Jal at the moment. I really feel it's time to start looking to the future rather than continually spouting negative cr*p.
imy9 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Known to be injury prone, you are right Iceman it could be him lol.
rickard Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Thiago Motta, could be him. Isn't he of Italian nationality nowadays?
Hekla Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Grafite is Brazilian, he is leaving Wolfsburg shortly.
Blackburn Ravers Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Isn't he of Italian nationality nowadays? played twice for Italy
dubdubdub Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Jo! That's who I decided upon last night. And Bendtner.
Iceman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 no way its going to be Diego, or Neymar, or Ganso. Vagner Love perhaps, or my bet is Jo. Robinho has too big an ego, to join us. would love Pedro Mendes, Maniche and Deco. old school flavour
