rogerjonesgloves Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 That's who I decided upon last night. And Bendtner. Bendtner? Over-rated.
bennyboyt11 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Would probably do well for a side like us, where he could be a star rather than in an Arsenal team with the likes of Fabregas/Nasri and Arshavin.
hesfromburn Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Disagree bendtner is class his goals and assists to starts ratio speak for themselves
dubdubdub Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Bendtner? Over-rated. I was looking for realistic targets who would come to Rovers who're young enough to not end their careers here. That's what I came up with. And he shows signs of being good.
rebelmswar Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I just randomly threw a dart at a list of Brazilians and came up with Robinho. Would fit the bill for the owners. God alone knows how Kean would handle him, or who would drive home from a party.

Iceman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 wikibin.org/articles/list-of-brazilian-football-players-in-europe.html not sure if this is an updated list or what, but take your pick.
McRovers Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I think signing a left back is a better move than going like-for-like and getting a new CB for jonesy. We have Givet, Nelson, Samba and Hanley who are all perfectly proficient at CB, whereas we have just Givet at left back, who you can't really fault defensively but hes not much craic going forward. We also have Olsson who isn't great at defending but more importantly is wasted at left back when he could be doing what hes best at further up the pitch. So we've got £17m from Jones (BBC), even without this phantom endowment of £5m from Guru Venkys I think we could stretch that to get a decent left back, a striker & jermaine jones. Along with that, shift some of the deadweight and give Kalinic a break. Ease in Rochina, Formica and one or two of the academy players and thats a formula for a decent season I feel. I must say I'd feel a lot more confident with Hughes behind the reins but no matter, make do and mend. KEANO'S BLUE & WHITE ARMY!
rogerjonesgloves Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Disagree bendtner is class his goals and assists to starts ratio speak for themselves Checked his stats, you have a point. Would we provide enough chances though?
Iceman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Lucatoninho? I deserve legend status, for starting the Luca Toni rumours. it never fails to brighten up a long miserable day around here Mr Nixon
rogerjonesgloves Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Lucatoninho? Journo with a sense of humour!
bennyboyt11 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Much happening with West Ham's team of mercenaries, Nicko? After the January linking Scott Parker everywhere I'm surprised he hasn't been sold yet.
