chocky Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6988663,00.html FFS! Old news, we will still be there after he's left us and much richer. We paid 500,000 for him if I remember right. No player is bigger than the club. But he's dreaming if he thinks 9,000,000 is going to be enough.

Blackburn Ravers Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 What planet is that guy on? 9m? thats what i thought
BuckyRover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 thats what i thought I wouldn't want Arsene in a round of drinks. I can imagine him sloping off before getting his wallet out.
Backroom DE. Posted June 13, 2011 Backroom Posted June 13, 2011 If there's no clause in his contract then there's no reason for us to accept a paltry 9M. If Samba was English he'd probably be going for about £50M

rebelmswar Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 If he belonged to any top 4 team they wouldn't even bother to write a story with that idiotic sum. If we sell him for 9 we will need a new manager and I will probably end up in jail for a very long time.
Neal Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 My guess would be Elano, formerly of City. Unless that's already been mentioned. Pronounced with an "I" too.
my_name_is_Earl Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Regarding the unnamed Brazilian, I wonder if it's somebody most of us have actually heard of? Regarding Phil Jones, I'm very happy with the Venky's in their attempts to stop scumnited walking all over us whether it be their own fault or not regarding the clause. I have no words to say about Phil Jones regarding the move, I neither care if he is a failure or a success. However, his claims to be a 'Rover' are somewhat laughable, if indeed, there was foul play involved at any stage. I'm still trying to work out how Ferguson magically knew of that clause....hmm.... Regarding the fee, what a great amount for somebody who is completely unproven. Yes, he had a fantastic second half of last season and looks as though he will move on to better things, but equally, how many times has that been said of other players who have completely failed to make the step up - Massimo Maccarone at Boro being one of them? It's a large sum of money for where we are and what we have, so overall i'm pleased. All in all, these are exciting times at Rovers because even if Jones and Samba both end up leaving, we still have the nucleus of a very good team, add to that a large transfer kitty.
Craigman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I reckon it is Keirrison from Barcelona, always loaned out. Links with Barca.
novella Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 My guess is luisao from benfica. Although I think he might be a bit out of our league.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Are we talking about a big name signing or any Tom, Dick or Harrinho?
Backroom Tom Posted June 13, 2011 Backroom Posted June 13, 2011 Ah summer has finally started on here. Hasn't it Nicko? Is it summer yet? Anyway it's not this guy again is it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronieli_Gomes_dos_Santos
howzat Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 sell samba before its too late take 14 mill for him and get roger Johnson with the money better defender
jrabrfc Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Andy Cryer on twitter saying Arsenal are upping their interest in Samba. Story in tomorrow's paper. Wonderful.
AmazinTim Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Would be ecstatic if it was Elano. Not a flashy player but he can play the right side, or up the middle, and always seems to be among the goals
BuckyRover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I don't want him anymore. Been a great servant but he doesn't want to be here anymore. A loss, but hopefully we can replace him with someone who isn't going to ask to leave all the time (at least not for a year or so).
LeChuck Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 My guess would be Elano, formerly of City. Unless that's already been mentioned. Pronounced with an "I" too. Not a bad call that - Jerome Anderson was responsible for getting him to City.
Roverdale Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Someone told me today Rovers want Mirko Vucinic from Roma. Not touching it in paper as can't see much in it
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Why would he want to come to a Premier League team who has finished 15th? Simple question. Maybe we need to calm down a bit so we don't get disappointed............oh sod it, let's have fun!
Amo Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Why would he want to come to a Premier League team who has finished 15th? Simple question. Maybe we need to calm down a bit so we don't get disappointed............oh sod it, let's have fun! You just know our only signing will be Benjani on a five-year deal.
Kelbo Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Andy Cryer on twitter saying Arsenal are upping their interest in Samba. Story in tomorrow's paper. Wonderful. If Samba goes, we are in big big trouble, we would have lost the two players to build our defence on next season, they really will take some replacing, plus our set plays will be much more difficult. The cost of replacing these guys like for like will take quite a few bob.
