Just wondering why we haven't tried to get Vaughan from Blackpool on a free. Top quality player and the Blackpool fans voted him as player of the season last year. Apparently he is on his way to WBA.

I really think we need someone like him to play alongside N'Zonzi or Jones if we sign him.

And who says we haven't approached him? I'm pretty confident there's subtle enquiries flying around that Daily Fail or even nicko hasn't got a clue of.

Not that our rumoured signings so far are blowing anyone's mind, but I'm very glad Steve Bruce isn't our manager. I would hate it if we'd be after the gibsons, browns and o'shea's. They're nothing more than your average players and they must be looking for a nice fortune in wages.

You say that, but I quite like Gibson. I thought that he could play a good Tugay role for us.

Not that they know everything, but Sky reckon West Brom now lead the chase for Vaughan

Leading the chase and making an inquiry are two different things :) And even if it comes as surprise to some here, we won't be even leading the chase for every player we inquire about, yet alone sign them.

Im happy to take up the task of going to Grenada, and making sure J-Rob is escorted back to suffolk as long as everyone is happy to chip in for full expenses? I'm expecting that this difficult task should take no less than 10 days in the baking Caribbean sun, suffering for you all.

Well, if you go, get down to the Grand Anse beach, Grenada and its people are amazing, food is good too!!

Argentinian=Insua

I dont see the need for a left winger at all, Pedersen,Olsson,Hoilett,Rochina can all play there. Thats the one position we are probably fine at.Nzogbia is a good player though, as is Vicente.

Pleased that someone else has mentioned Honda, as far as Asian tour and marketing goes, would be very good business to bring him in.

Great, lets get Bentley as well and we'll really be motoring :lol:

It's bloody Miranda ffs how dense are some of you? The "I" thing was a joke that was clearly established after about 3 replies...

:lol::lol:

Ah but did you realise Sao Paulo had two Miranda's, both defenders, registered last season.

We don't want another Shearer scenario :lol:

Did i say we would be?

No, but you replied to my reply about us not approaching Vaughan with a link of WBA leading the chase. What was it about if not a suggestion that we haven't approached him if WBA is leading the chase? Well, nevermind.

The link was just a suggestion that regardless of if we have approached him or not, looks like he is off to West Brom.

MIRANDA...is the Brazilian target...he has an agreement to join Atletico Madrid on a free on July...however the Venky's folk in Brazil are on the case...I hear word of a lucrative three-year deal that is MORE than he would get in Spain...so it's a bit of a battle...but the good thing is we should know with that one on July 1...don't know much about him...but if you can play six times for Brazil you are no nugget...he was in France with Sochaux when he was younger, so he has European experience...work permit? he would have a chance...this one should be watched with interest.

BRAZILIANS...the Venky's people are definitely lively in this market...so there could be others out there...they have business interests there, so a bit of brand placement would come in handy for them.

ROGER JOHNSON...told it is not right at the moment...no way are you paying that feee...but if you lose two centre halves...who knows.

ROBERTS...Paul Jewell is currently trying to sign another striker [looking forward to writing that one]...and he could not pay Jason's wages...tired old story.

There is also a striker you are after, but it is also a fight with another club.

And some word of a wide man that I will be tracking down.

Definitely sparking to life.

Signing the targets is another thing obviously.

The reason why I suggested we are probably not in the running is because previous experience tells me that Venky's can't seem to keep their mouths shut. Hopefully I am wrong and they have learnt to keep quiet, but I doubt it...

I am however ready and waiting to be convinced by the Rao family. I hope they are conducting business in private!

Cheers Nicko.

Johnson might be worth near what Brum are asking for if they were in the Premier League or if he was 3 or 4 years younger.
