damn beaten to it

No, it's a sh*t BBC One sitcom

And something you get read if you get arrested for, for example, drink driving in the US.

As much as I would like to know who it is, please don't reveal anything that might jeopardise the transfer. Leave that to nicko, at least it puts food on his table :D

When we are "in" for a big name striker, just how far down the line is that?

Have we made enquiries?

Have we made a bid?

or is it just currently a name written on the back of Keanos beer mat?

Sounds promising in anycase

Not if Hoilett is playing up top

Not necessarily my choice but just a prediction.

SkyBet has odds on us getting Defoe which is strange since we arent considered for R. Johnson or Kranjcar who seem more realistic.

Defoe is a good finisher though and although he might stunt Hoillett slightly I think he'd definitely be a move forward.

You shouldn't believe everything you hear on this board.

It's mostly made up. Just thought I would join in, see if I enjoyed it.

I did enjoy it as well. People seemed to pick up on it. Maybe that's why other people do it? To feel important.

So what your saying is actually there is no point in any of us reading this MB as there is a strong chance that any given post is all made up?

Luckily I believe the vast majority of us have a good bit more sense than you have, and will continue to read and believe in what we read.

shevchenko could be interesting, hes well past his best at 34 that goes without saying, but hes been doing reasonably well at Dynamo Kyiv and might feel he has somat to prove in the prem after his poor time at chelsea, wouldnt be happy if hes 1 of our key targets though, we should be building for the future.

The post before this "lie" was saying that Kranjcar wouldn't come here because of his relationship with Kalanic. Totally unsubstantiated rumour posted as knowledge.

I just followed it up with a counter lie.

It was also a subtle reference to a comedian, which LeChuck picked up on.

I even said that I can't vouch for it, it was just something I'd heard (in my head). People still ran with it.

It worked on many levels.
