I did post some time ago, a transfer kitty is only a good transfer kitty if we keep our better players, Jones has gone, if we lose Samba and Hoilett, we are in a real mess, the three players who for me, along with Robbo are the backbone of our team, if they leave, we really need to pull some real Rabbits out of then hat to fill the void, not only that, they need to gel and I for one am not impressed at all with Brazilians, attitude and cultural differences make it difficult for them to settle and play to their level.

Someone should have a word with the owners and give them sound advice, they are not going about this the right way, we need more English/Uk players or players who play to a similar style, names mean nothing unless they can play the way we play in the PL.

I am quite worried, rather than buy 'names' lets buy players capable of performing inn the PL, freebies or not, it doesnt matter.

True, quite simply, losing your best players is never ideal as can be difficult to bring anyone in with the same/better quality - looks like we are going to have a pretty massive transfer budget though which will make things interesting, just hope we spend wisely.

They haven't revealed any targets to the public and yet they are going about this the wrong way??? Either you are privy to a lot of information that we aren't or this comment is based on ........what exactly??

I can understand Jones going it was always on the cards as he allways showed the talent from day 1, Samba has been making the noises that he wants to go for the last year but if Hoilett were to be sold I would be furious.

When he came he did'nt seem to have much but under Kean he has progressed and is probably our best attacking player and looks like he go on to maybe score 10-15 goals next season, if he goes we wont be able to command a big figure because of his contract and whoever gets him will get a player that we have just spent a year learning him his trade in the prem and will be bang in form.

Getting him to sign that contract first is more important than siging anyone imo.

Agree - contract should have been sorted at Christmas with the others though, that just didnt add up at the time. In fairness though Junior buggered about with his last contract...

Still, as long as we replace the quality going out, with comparable quality, we should improve the team for next season.

"Sadsac". im very optimistic kean/venkys have some very excite targets in mind.

i just find it strange the way people on here seem too think of nico as some kind of football prophet, he writes for the gossip rag mirror, they get about 1 in 10 things right, the rest is just gossip/speculation,

Your choice to believe or not to believe. His record on here is better than 1 in 10.

Ok so a 27 year old taking the deal of his life and getting champions league football before he retires is now unreasonable?

I'm sorry but you're ridiculous.. Only a player with no ambition would turn down that offer at 27.

I'd rather have ambitious players play out of their skin for us then leave then have mundane players being average all their career.

Are you actually serious with your opinions or are they sarcastic? Because over the short space I've been on this board I've never heard anyone more ridiculous.

Deal of his life ! champions league football!

I thought we, as Rovers fans, were being sold ambitious plans about champions league football in the offing (Stephen Keans words) not mine, or in the very near future.

It would certainly help when we know who's coming in. RSC smacks of no ambition at all, just relegation with a bigger cost attached to it.

I don't think Samba owes us anything.

Jones I was very disappointed over. I also thought it was handled badly (although £20m is better than 16, so it's not all bad). But Samba's been around for a while. We could really do with him staying as both him and Jones going will leave a huge hole in our squad. But he's been here for quite a while, it's hard to stand in his way.

The problem we will have is that even if Venky's give Kean all of the incoming cash plus £10m, it's very difficult to put a decent squad together. We've lost so many players over recent years and to get success you need stability. If we were to lose Hoilett as well, that would really be too much.

Especially if we were to get a significant proportion of our players from South America, they take time to bed in.

Still, I won't run around like my hair's on fire, I will wait until the end of the window before passing judgement.

Of course it will be the deal of his life. Can we offer him Champions League football now? No. Can we aim to offer players champions league football at some point in the next few years? Hopefully. However, Samba is not a fan so cannot wait like a fan would.

If a Champions League team is in for him he owes it to himself and his career to grasp that chance and take it.

*bad rumour on twitter*

BRFCS members - Oh FFS, this club is doomed! IT HAS CEASED TO BE!

Proper FM player here I'll admit, but having had a quick look his real stats are good too - Seydou Doumbia

Not that well known (to my knowledge) so no idea of fee or availability?

Why do people judge a player because he is good of FM. Never played the game, have no intention of doing so. So how anybody can judge a played based on a fantasy football is game, is beyond me.

They get scout reports from all over the place and are pretty reliable. Even Everton used FM as a scouting tool a couple of seasons back.

Because he was linked with us and a few other teams in 2009, plays for a CL team, and looks mint on you tube (Villanueva factor aside)...

Who do you think provides details of players to the game makers? Scouts...
