Why do people judge a player because he is good of FM. Never played the game, have no intention of doing so. So how anybody can judge a played based on a fantasy football is game, is beyond me.

One person for each club, who reports to a head researcher for that league, and then one for that country. You have to go to youth/reserve and all senior games to become a researcher pretty much. There are also like 50000 guidelines you need to do and you need to prove why a player has the stats you have given him. Not some made up fantasy stuff...that database has been banged on a lot of the time. Everton even use it for scouting.

Re: Yobo, there was a Mirror Football story a while ago saying that Fener would only pay £2.5m for him and Everton want £5m, even though he's only got a year left on his current contract. Moyes does want rid though, so if we're really in for him we could probably strike a deal.

Do we not agree that Moyes sees Yobo as the least effective, least missed player at Everton.

Sounds like avoid at all costs.

It's the most comprehensive scouting database ever created. Thousand of scouts used to compile it.

So it obviously has some merit

There scouting is so good Everton bought it off them for £1m quid and all the info they used.

I'll show my ignorance, why didn't they just buy the game? Wouldn't the database of player info come with it?

Also, and again hopefully someone can explain, why do we pay so much attention to what people Twitter / Tweat? Can't anyone post whatever they want on Twitter (under their own name of course)?

Alot of my friends play it and to my despair talk about it non-stop and have done for the past decade. It's usually pretty accurate at picking out superstars.

Ridiculous as it might sound it wouldn't be a bad place to start a shortlist, obviously it would need further scouting, but as a rough guideline you'd be surprised how good it is, Torres as a 17 year old is just one example

As diverting as this is guys. this is not the place for debating the merits of the FM database or scouting system.

If based on FM, correct. Listen it could be a good game, people enjoy it - so be it, I am not having ago at those who do. I do not play computer games - so outside my knowledge and interest. Hence my question, as FM often comes up on this MB. Learnt more about FM in the last few posts than ever before. Still does not interest me. But thanks for those who gave me a little insight into FM.

Ok enough about FM from me, I am off to the beach for some night fishing.

Sorry, I didn't intend my original post to start a geeks vs grumps war, use your normal scouting methods to look at the player I mentioned then tell me he's not better than Roberts...

the players that we shud be looking to sign are players that have played in the premier league not the nobodys players like warnock and bentley would be a good shout to bring back but please oh pleas not crocky shitna cruz !!!
