Only good he has done the past year is making my girlfriend wanna watch Rovers on tv

Keep paying Keith Andrews and get rid of Gamst? He's the best free kick taker we've got, dangerous at throw-ins and can score a goal in play as well. Not happy if he goes. :angry2:

I would keep Pedersen! good player and good at set peices and can pass a ball aswell.

We should get rid of Grella, Andrews, EHD, Goulan,

'Dave Whelan put his money into Wigan, not even his own town'.

Err..

??????????? LOL Dave Whelan is from Wigan is parents owned a shop just up the road from my mums...( they had a few dotted around town before supermarkets came out in the 60's - they sold there biggest piece of land in the town centre to Morrisons , plus Daves compen from Wembley he was on his road to success as a businessman...not the most popular fella in the town due to the way he treats people )

No. Keep playing Olsson/Hoilett insetad of Gamst. We can't keep a player just because he can throw the ball better than others. When was the last time he scored a set piece or hit one of our players from a corner? I can't remember the last time it happened. Last time he played for Norway he couldn't even get a penalty past the Lithuanian goalkeeper (though he netted the deflection). Gamst is not a very impressive player anymore. A prima-donna he is.

What a lazy article by Annie Eaves, Dave Whelen however was not born in Wigan, just raised there. He was born in Bradford, so technically she is correct.

Exactly. She will have had a quick look on Wikipedia, seen 'Bradford' and off she went. Most new born Rovers fans around here will now be born in Burnley Hospital, doesn't make 'em Dingles.

He's reported to be on 60k a week :tu:

So what? Scott Parkers away and he must be on one hell of a bundle, Dyer (along with half a dozen other waistrals) must be on mega bucks too and if he tries to stick around for too long Gilbert or Sullivan will prob enlist some latter day Kray to persuade him that he's better off retiring before he gets retired permamanently. Also Jermaine Jones is on 80k pw isn't he? Fine player without a doubt but he doesn't score goals, Nolan does. Nolan is a massive plus signing for WHU imo. He played a massive part in getting NUFC up and I'm sure that he'll do it again at WH.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/16/list-players-released-premier-league-clubs

So we've released Jordan Bowen, Jason Brown, Zurab Khizanishvili, Benjani Mwaruwari, Michael Potts and Maceo Rigters.

Possible names to speculate with from that list could be Carew, Reo-Coker, Larsson, McFadden, Cohen, Gera, Hargreaves, Gudjohnsen, Woodgate, Upson and David Jones. Nothing worth getting into a bidding war thou..

The likes of Sebek and Woods from Chelsea and Giles Barnes were considered as big prospects but probably not worthwhile even considering anymore.

On strikers, Venkys and Kean could win a lot of Rovers fans over by simply signing Sturridge. He's young and hungry, proven in the Premier League and going to get better unlike Vucinic who doe not have another hefty transfer in him.

That 20 M could become way more in 3 or 4 years whereas 16M for Vucinic would simply disappear.

And Sturridge has done brilliantly in an ordinary Bolton team. No brainer for me

I agree entirely with all that.

Sturridge knows too, thats why he'll end up somewhere bigger, unfortunately.

I thought Benjani was offered another year long contract recently?

Interesting - also interesting that Zurab & Rigters were still our players.

LT confirms Tugay & Gala's interest in MGP today, although states we still want him so would require a fee.

You'd be surprised how many Rovers fans aren't actually from Blackburn. Nobody I know is.
