I get home from taking 40 Year 10 kids around Chester Zoo.

I log on, foolishly hoping for some news.

I'm met with the above.

The life of a Blackburn Rovers fan. Never changes, even with money to spend.

Are you the dinosaur keeper

Can we try and keep on topic. Preferably not posting stats pages from FM or CM.

If the Samba transfer is imminent then it is probably best to let the fall out from that hit this thread before moving to a shiny new one.

Freiburg have got their replacement for Papiss Cisse, Garra Dembele (think we have been linked with him in the past).

It was reported the other day e was the target they wanted before cashing in on Cisse.

Papiss Cisse would be good signing for us. He's got pace and strenght and knows how to score goals!

Rovers need a goalscorer next season for sure. We have lack one since RSC (1st season) and Benni. If we are going to get into the top 10 then we need a goalscorer. I would be happy if we sign RSC as a second striker!

CENTRE HALF - may be one of interest becoming available.

I wonder if the centre half is either James Collins or Bassong.

Skysports are reporting when McLeish becomes AV manager he will move for Dann. So Maybe James Collins will become available

I love the arrogance on this board now that we have a bit of money to spend.

Bendtner is not a world-beater (or people's first choice to buy on FM) but he's much better than what we currently have.

The majority of his time at Arsenal in recent times has been spent either on the bench, out wide or on the left/right of a front three.

The style of football Arsenal play isn't exactly well-suited to his strengths.

It's not a direct comparison to our current strike force though(I would take Kalinic over him though everyday). It's a judgement on the money he would cost, the type of player, the attitude. There are literally 100's of better strikers out there in world football

Never rated Adebayor. Glad that's rubbish

Has it been confirmed it's rubbish then?

I rate Adebayor as much as I rate all the other strikers who score regularly.

So we can add Bendtner and Adebayor to Owen RVN Vucinic Klose and Santa Cruz as strikers we dont want at Ewood beacuse they're too old , too good , too injured too crap or too cocky .....mmmmm -_-

bendtners strike record and assists to starts is amazing 15 goals 8 assists in one season! mainly used as a sub only 23. shows how awful kalinic is. what a waste of 6 million!!!!

Some people are beginning to sound like Villa fans. " we don't want him or him or him"

He got 8 goals last year, 6 of which were in the cups against lower league. Anyway stat's can be misleading. Watching him play over the last 5 years, for both Brum and Arsenal has showed that he is not a finisher, poor work rate and bad attitude.

He had his chance last year in the Nou Camp and blew it, a top player would not have done

Has someone left the gates open at the local looney home ? jesus wept, there is some trash on this thread being spouted.

Newcastle have not got the fee of £35m for Carroll to spend, they are in dire straits financially and have a debt totalling £78m, owe Ashley himself over £40m as well as a host of siging on fees and bonuses that have to be paid. The information about those figures comes from tott. So they are in a rut and one has to say how they can persuade quality signings to go there. They ahve sold their captain and will lose at least another 3 players who have to be replaced. They are not buiilding a quality outfit they are buiilding a team to survive this coming season. Its so bad they havent even sold anywhere near their regular amnount of season tickets.

The chumps on here advocating that Bendtner is useless clearly have no idea what they are on about. The lad is a class finisher. He needs to have games under his belt and in the right team he will score over 20 goals a season. Compared to our strikers over the years he is probably ranked about 5th behind class acts such as shearer, Sutton and Cole. I would love him at Ewood becasue he would prosper as a first choice striker.

Anyone hoping to see an Adebyorlike figure crashing through the Ewood doors is in the smae class as the loones thinking Bendtner is poor.

I have to agree with the computer game suggestion. these folk whop are suggesting computerised superstars are geeks who should stick to their fantasy games.

Let things take their course and stop the overhyped speculation. I am certain that in the next 2 weeks we will see movement both in and out. Samba is clearly off that is clear. I am sure we may well see others leaving and soon. Incoming names ? Like I said lets wait and see, the club is back 1st |July for preseason and its clear the club would like players from the off.

Chill out chumps.

Personally i would take all off those apart from Bendtner and Cruz (who we know we are going to end up with)

Bendtner is useless. Arrogance can be tolerated (Bellamy) if they have ability. Bendtner is a terrible footballer.

Never rated Adebayor. Glad that's rubbish

Bellamy's record is hardly any better than Bendtner's; his best season was with us.

The factor that made his signing good was the relatively low transfer fee.

Then again, his injury record did make his signing somewhat of a risk.

I'll agree that Bendtner's value will be inflated and that he's twice the play in his head that he actually is, but he's not 'terrible'.

ive heard that Juventus will seal a deal for aguero this week but only if madrid complete the signing of neymar. Juventus also interested in taraabt. Does this give us free run for vucinic?

Shearer, Rush, Phillips, Fowler (not that one that turned up for us, the Liverpool one), Klinsman and Wright were class finishers. IMO Bendtner is not

Desperately need a Nicko/Kamy fix for something new/plausible to talk about.

This is a little ridiculous now.

As for my two cents...

Bendtner would be all down to price IMO.. and I don't think we could get him cheap enough to be value for money.

Better than what we have though..

Also... Can add Mutu to that earlier list. But dismissed under the category of too addicted.

Not sure where the Bendtner link came from or who posted it but I think he would be a great signing, We are not the kind of club that need to be spending 16 million on a striker, the expectations on him from the fans would be huge and the pricetag would weigh heavy on him.

The lad can play he just needs a club to see his potential and play too his strengths, way better than anything we have or probably anything we will end up with, get him signed up and challenge him to earn his arrogance and prove himself.

Because you don't get that amongst any other clubs fans apart from Villa do you...

Agree 100% on the context of the price.
